Abstract

Teaching materials in their role as providers of information are really needed by educators and student. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials in the form of e-LKPD with a scientific approach to static fluid material to improve critical thinking skills at SMAN 9 Merangin which can be used in the learning process. This development research uses a 4D development model. The test subjects consisted of a small group consisting of 10 people and a large group consisting of 30 people who were students of SMAN 9 Merangin. The instruments used in this research were interviews, questionnaires, pretest-posttest questions, and validation assessment sheets. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The validation results from material and media experts show that the teaching materials developed are very valid for small group trials. Teacher assessments and student responses to the media are very good. The effectiveness of e-LKPD teaching materials in improving critical thinking skills was carried out by a Paired Sample T-Test with the decision that the hypothesis was accepted and a large group test was carried out to obtain a fairly effective level of effectiveness with an average value of 0.6187 or 61.8696%. It can be concluded that the development of e-LKPD teaching materials with a scientific approach to static fluid material to improve critical thinking skills is feasible and effective for use in the learning process. 6187 or 61.8696%. Abstract

Education is a key factor in shaping students' character and competence. The 2013 Curriculum highlights not only the development of student character but also the enhancement of scientific competence, including science process skills (SPS). One effective approach to developing SPS is through the application of inquiry-based learning models. This study investigates the differences in students' SPS on acid-base topics by comparing the use of structured inquiry and guided inquiry models. The research employed a random sampling technique, and data were collected using observation sheets and field notes. Field notes were analyzed qualitatively to support and enrich the interpretation of observational and quantitative findings. The quantitative data, obtained from essay-based tests, were analyzed using inferential statistics such as the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, homogeneity test, independent t-test, paired t-test, and N-Gain to evaluate learning improvement in both groups. The effectiveness of each model was determined based on the increase in N-Gain scores from pretest to posttest. The results revealed that inquiry-based learning significantly improved students' SPS, with an increase in the average score from 35.18 to 78.33. Additionally, observation data indicated a steady increase in students’ engagement and participation throughout the learning sessions, highlighting the benefits of inquiry approaches in science education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis ABIL (Argumentation Blended Inquiry Learning) pada materi larutan penyangga dan pengaruh e-modul tersebut terhadap kemampuan argumentasi siswa. E-modul ini dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan Lee & Owens yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Kelayakan e-modul ini dperoleh melalui uji validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, penilaian guru serta respon siswa. Data diperoleh melalui instrument angket dan dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil dari ahli materi dan ahli media menyatakan bahwa e-modul sudah layak untuk diujicobakan. Selain itu, hasil penilaian dari dua guru juga menyatakan bahwa e­-modul layak diujicobakan. Hasil dari respon dua kelompok siswa diuji kappa dengan hasil 0,870 dengan kategori tinggi. Hal ini berarti bahwa kedua kelompok siswa sepakat menyatakan e-modul layak untuk dipakai dalam pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, dari hasil uji t terhadap kemampuan argumentasi siswa diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara nilai pretest dan posttetst.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis ABIL berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan bimbingan scaffolding teknik prompting terhadap peningkatan kemampuan argumentasi siswa SMA pada materi asam basa serta mengindentifikasi peran teknik prompting dalam menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan kemampuan argumentasi sebelum dan sesudah penerapan bimbingan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed method dengan pendekatan explanatory sequential, yakni pengumpulan data kuantitatif di ikuti oleh data kualitatif secara berurutan. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan argumentasi siswa sebelum eksperimen (pretest) dan sesudah eksperimen (posttest), sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui lembar observasi pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan argumentasi siswa kelas eksperimen setelah penerapan bimbingan scaffolding teknik prompting. Siswa eksperimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji t diperoleh data bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan argumentasi antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol (p-value < 0.05). Berdasarkan hasil observasi terlihat bahwa pemberian teknik prompting menyebabkan siswa kelas eksperimen lebih terbantu dalam berargumentasi dibanding kelas kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik prompting yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi asam basa dan berargumentasi
