Abstract

Abstract

The problem of coastal waste management in Gresik, especially green mussel shells, is a serious challenge that has an impact on the environment and the community's economy. This community service program aims to improve the circular economy in coastal areas, especially for residents of Banyuurip Village, Ujungpangkah, in the utilization of green mussel shells through Eco-entrepreneurship training based on the 3R principle. The community service program was carried out using a Participatory Action Research approach. The results of the community service program showed a significant increase of 65% in the behavior of recycling green mussel shell waste into shrimp feed, as well as increasing awareness in protecting the environment. This activity can create circular economic opportunities in coastal areas. This indicates that the community service program was successfully implemented through an environmentally based circular economy approach.

Abstract

The Kalibaru River in Indonesia faces significant pollution challenges due to industrial and human activities, threatening ecosystem balance and water quality. To address this, a sand and carbon filter-based water filtration system is employed to improve water quality to grade 2 clean water standards. The method involves filtration using sand filters, carbon filters. Results show improved water quality with parametersThe decrease in turbidity from 6 NTU (March) to 5 NTU (June) indicates the filtration system's ability to remove suspended particles. Additionally, the decrease in electrical conductivity from 179.83 umhos (March) to 173.41 umhos (June) and TDS from 95.9 mg/L (March) to 92.7 mg/L (June) shows the system's ability to reduce dissolved ion concentrations. The stability of pH between March (7.58) and June (7.38) indicates that the filtration system does not affect the water's pH balance, remaining within the class 2 water quality standard (6-9). The relatively stable water temperature between March (27.5°C) and June (27°C) also shows that the filtration system does not significantly affect the water temperature  with Indonesian Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001.The system effectively removes contaminants, reduces turbidity, and kills pathogenic bacteria, making the water suitable for recreation, freshwater aquaculture, livestock, agriculture, and other uses. Regular monitoring and maintenance are necessary to sustain water quality.Indonesia's river water quality has been declining due to industrial pollution, pesticide and fertilizer use, and plastic waste. To combat this, efforts are being made to improve wastewater management, promote sustainable agriculture practices, and enhance public awareness.

Abstract

Boilers function to produce hot water or hot steam from combustion products to be converted as energy. Steam is used to drive turbines to produce electrical energy, apart from that steam is also used for heating. The boiler fuel uses biomass in the form of tree bark, namely acacia mangium. The aim of this study is to find out whether the process running in the Power boiler is good or not, it can be seen from its efficiency, so that the energy balance calculation is carried out on the Power boiler itself. Therefore, a study is needed to determine the energy balance of the unit. From the heat balance calculation, the heat data for producing steam was 1924,927,054 kcal, the latent heat of vaporization was 5732,620,038 kcal and the feed water heat was 11156296.65 kcal. So from the calculations obtained we can find out the energy balance in the boiler and the resulting Supply Steam Consumption

Abstract

Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas that is used as a safe, clean and efficient energy source. LNG itself is liquefied and has been processed to remove impurities and heavy fraction hydrocarbons which are then condensed into liquid at atmospheric pressure with a temperature of -160 ºC. In Indonesia, LNG has good prospects for development, both in terms of raw material potential and its market. So, it is very appropriate if an LNG plant is established in Indonesia with the aim of meeting domestic LNG needs and opening up new jobs to reduce unemployment in Indonesia. LNG is made through several stages of the process, namely the Absorption, Dehydration, Fractionation and Liquefaction processes. The factory will be established in Muara Enim, Lahan Regency, South Sumatra Province. From economic calculations, it is obtained that the return on investment is 3.08 years after the factory is established. The rate of return on capital is 38.1%, and the BEP is 37.6%. Based on the economic analysis, the LNG plant from Natural Gas is feasible to be established.

Abstract

Seluruh parameter berada dalam batas aman sesuai PerMen No. 5 tahun 1985 dan PerMen No. 8 tahun 2020.
