Abstract

Soothing gel merupakan kosmetika yang banyak digemari oleh masyarakat yang berfungsi untuk mengatasi kulit kering. Sediaan ini mengandung bahan aktif dengan konsentrasi tinggi dalam formula gel yang dianggap mampu melembabkan kulit. Bahan aktif terdiri dari lidah buaya (Aloe vera L.) dan buah naga (Hylocereus polyrhizus (Weber) BrittonRose) dengan konsentrasi total Formula I 85% dan Formula II 95%. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji sifat fisik sediaan soothing gel dan iritasi akut dermal kelinci (Lepus Sp.). Metode penelitian ini meliputi pengujian sifat fisik gel yaitu, organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya lekat, viskositas. dan uji iritasi akut dermal. Analisa data statistik dengan SPSS 24.0. Hasil skrining bahan aktif lidah buaya positif mengandung alkaloid, fenolik, flavonoid dan saponin. Sedangkan sari buah naga positif mengandung alkaloid, fenolik, antosian, flavonoid dan terpenoid. Sediaan memiliki bau khas buah naga, langu, warna magenta tua khas warna buah naga. Kedua formula homogen dengan pH pada formula I dan II (5,3 dan 5.9), daya sebar 5,7cm dan 5,8cm, daya lekat 3,8 detik dan 2detik, viskositas 281 cP dan 142 cP. Sedangkan pada uji iritasi akut dermal diperoleh rerata nilai 0,3. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa daya lekat dan viskositas sediaan tidak memenuhi syarat dan uji iritasi akut dermal masuk dalam kategori iritasi sangat ringan.Kata kunci— uji sifat fisik, soothing gel, lidah buaya, buah naga, iritasi akut dermal

Abstract

Latar belakang: Daun kelor merupakan bahan alam yang berpotensi untuk melindungi kulit karena kandungan antioksidan yang terdapat didalamnya. Pengembangan bentuk sediaan dalam bentuk body lotion diperlukan agar dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Tujuan: Mengetahui formulasi dan evaluasi sediaan body lotion ekstrak etanol daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) menggunakan Tween 80 dan Span 80 sebagai emulgator. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorium dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) bisa diformulasikan menjadi formulasi sediaan body lotion menggunakan Tween 80 dan Span 80 sebagai emulgator. Hasil evaluasi pada FI dan FII sediaan telah memenuhi syarat uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH rentang pH sediaan topical 4,5-8 (SNI 16-4399-1996), standart uji daya 5 - 7 cm, dan uji tipe emulsi. Abstract

ABSTRACT In this research, gel hand sanitizer formulation using celery leaves of Apium graveolens Linn has been formated. This leave is reported to have antibacterial activities due to flavonoids and tannins contained. The method used physical characteristion and antibacterial inhibition test with diffusion method. It was made from three evaluation formulas with concentration of the extract 12,5, 15 dan 20% and CMC 2% respectives. The characteristic results showed that gel hand sanitizer are semi-solid, blackish brown, celery peculiar smell, pH 5.8, distribution test 2,9 cm, load 50 gram 3 cm, 100 gram 3 cm and 150 gram 3,1 cm, homogeneous and comfortable in the skin. The results showed that gel hand sanitizer formulations 1, 2 and 3 were able to provide antibacterial inhibition. Gel with 20% extract and 2% CMC Na could reduce the number of bacteria E coli and Staphylococcus aureus. It can be concluded that gel hand sanitizer using Leaf Celery Extract Apium graveolens Linn. had antibacterial activities.

Abstract

Microemulsions are thermodynamically stable colloidal dispersions of water and oil stabilized by a surfactant and a cosurfactant. The aim of the present study was to developmicroemulsion as a protein delivery based on proteins released by using ovalbumin (OVA) as a model protein. W/O microemulsion with the concentration ratio of surfactant (Tween 80-Span 80) cosurfactant (butanol) 5:1, 6:1, 7:1 were investigated. All formulation showed similarity organoleptic (yellow, transparent, low viscosity). Ovalbumin release test were analyzed using UV-Vis spectrophotometric method at wavelength 584 nm. Comomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB) were use detection of ovalbumin. Franz diffusion cells with the cellophane membraneswere used. The amount of released OVA was measured with UV-spectrophotometric and the percentage of drug released was calculated. The highest AUC of released ovalbumin from microemulsion were formula 5:1. Based on the results obtained that the w/o microemulsion 5:1 could be used as a possible alternative to protein delivery system. Keywords : Kata kunci :

Abstract

Background: Lip balm, also known as lip balm, functions to moisturize the lips so they don't get dry and chapped by sunlight, pollution, temperature, and weather. One natural ingredient that functions as a lip moisturizer is the rosella flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.), which has many cosmetic benefits such as vitamin C, antioxidants, and anthocyanins, which can moisturize the lips and give them a natural color. Objective: This research is to determine how the concentration of rosella flower extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) impacts the physical quality test and moisture test of rosella flower extract lip balm preparations with concentrations of 0%, 6%, 8%, and 10%. Results: Physical quality tests showed that the formulation was stable. The results of organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, irritation, stability, and moisture tests did not show significant differences in varying extract concentrations. In the moisture test, the percentage of moisture test for formulation 0 was 15.5%, formulation I was 22.4%, formulation II was 28.7%, and formulation III was 35.4%. Conclusion: The results of the physical quality test were not influenced by differences in the concentration of rosella flowers in each formulation. Formulation III has a concentration of 35.4%, which is the most moist.

Abstract

Research on the Formulation Physical Stability Test and hedonic test of the peel-off gel mask of binahong Leaf Extract has been conducted. This study aims to determine the best formula of the binahong Leaf Extract peel-off gel mask preparation with PVA as a filming agent. The steps of the procedure in this research include plant determination, sample preparation, making binahong leaves simplicia, making binahong leaves extract, formulation of peel off gel mask evaluation of physical properties, stability test, irritation test and hedonic test. Formulation of binahong Leaf Extract peel-off gel mask were carried out in three formulas with various variations of PVA concentrations of 5%, 5,5%, and 6%. The results of the physical properties test shows that peel-off extract masks of binahong leaves with different concentration variations differ in organoleptic, ph test, and drying time test a statistical data analysis. Based on the results of the stability test using the cycling test method with temperature ± 4̊ C and ± 40̊ C over the course of six cycles. he most stable results of existing tests are F2 and F3 showed no significant differences in each evaluation. Test irritation suggests that the gel peel-off mask was not irritating. From the hedonic test results, panelists prefer F3 compared to other formulas.

Abstract

MSMEs in the food sector are among the main supporters of Indonesia's economic activities. As a food production center in the form of tofu products, Kediri Regency is well known to the public, with white, yellow, silk, and other tofu products. Most of the tofu production carried out to date is only in the form of tofu products in their original form. This is because tofu craftsmen have not utilized other processed tofu products to increase their income. This community service activity aims to introduce innovations in processed tofu products, packaging, marketing, and processing of liquid tofu waste into new products which are expected to increase the income of tofu makers in Karanganyar village, Wates District, Kediri Regency. This community service activity was carried out using the media of presenting several materials and carrying out two-way interactive discussions. Evaluation of this activity was carried out with pre- and post-tests from the participants by answering 10 questions related to the three materials. The results obtained after being analyzed using the SPSS program showed differences between the pre-and post-tests of the participants, whereas the post-test results showed that the participants had understood the material provided during this activity. Thus, it can be concluded that this activity can be proven to be understood by the participants regarding innovation in processed tofu products and processing of tofu liquid waste.

Abstract

Body Lotion merupakan produk perawatan tubuh yang digunakan untuk melembabkan dan melindungi kulit. Penggunaan zat aktif ekstrak etanol daun mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) yang memiliki kandungan senyawa flavonoid dan tanin yang mana memilki kemampuan sebagai antioksidan yang bermanfaat untuk melindungi sel-sel kulit dari radikal bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manakah emulgator triethanolamin dengan konsentrasi 2%, 3%, dan 4% yang dapat digunakan sebagai body loton dari ekstrak etanol daun mengkudu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Semisolida Institut Ilmu Kesehatan Bhakti Wiyata Kediri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorium dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah perbedaan konsentrasi penambahan emulgator triethanolamine, yaitu formulasi 1 dengan penambahan emulgator triethanolamin 2%, formulasi 2 dengan penambahan emulgator triethanolamine 3%, formulasi 3 dengan penambahan emulgator triethanolamine 4%. Parameter yang diamati untuk mengetahui uji mutu fisik body loton meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji tipe emulsi.pada uji Ph diperoleh rata-rata pada formulasi 1 dengan hasil 5,37, pada formulasi 2 dengan hasil 6,37, dan formulasi 3 dengan hasil 7,24. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa formulasi 1, formulasi 2, dan formulasi 3 memiliki perbedaan pada uji mutu fisik, dan pada formulasi 1 dan 2 telah memenuhi syarat uji mutu fisik sediaan lotion.

Abstract

Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) is a traditional medicinal plant that is widely used in the treatment of various degenerative diseases. However, scientific data regarding the composition of its bioactive compounds are still limited, especially those analyzed using a high-precision instrument approach. This study aims to identify the phytochemical composition in 70% ethanol extract of noni fruit using Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) method. Extraction was performed by Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE) method and compound analysis using Q-ToF type LC-MS instrument with positive ionization mode. The results showed that noni extract contained 28 compounds, with 13 compounds successfully identified consisting of 7 alkaloids, 3 glycosides, 1 phenolic, 1 amino acid, and 1 aminoglycoside. The major compound identified was Methyl (5R)-2,3,4-tris-O-(methoxymethyl)-5-{2-[(2R,3R,4R,5R,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-2-piperidinyl]ethyl}-α-D-xylopyranoside, belonging to the glycoside group with a molecular weight of 485.25 g/mol. These results indicate that noni fruit contains diverse secondary metabolite compounds with the dominance of alkaloid and glycoside compounds. This study contributes to providing primary data based on LC-MS technology on the chemical composition of Indonesian natural ingredients and can be a scientific basis for the development of medicinal plant-based pharmaceutical preparations with noni active ingredients.

Abstract

Penuaan dini terjadi akibat radiasi sinar matahari ditandai dengan kulit kering, tidak elastis, kulit tipis, kematian sel kulit, dan keriput yang disebabkan karena pecahnya kolagen dan sintesa kolagen yang rusak. Salah satu sediaan semisolid yang digunakan untuk kosmetik yaitu gel. Gel merupakan sediaan yang mampu menciptakan kondisi lembab sehingga pada saat dioleskan akan timbul rasa dingin yang dapat melembabkan kulit sehingga kulit tidak kering. Tomat dan bunga mawar merah dapat menangkal radikal bebas karena tomat mengandung senyawa antioksidan tinggi yang berpotensi sebagai anti-aging pada kulit. Metode penyarian buah tomat dan bunga mawar merah dengan cara ekstraksi maserasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan aktivitas antioksidan buah tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.) dan bunga mawar merah (Rosa x damascena Herrm.) dengan menggunakan metode DPPH. Sediaan dibuat dengan tiga formulasi dan disetiap formulasi menggunakan konsentrasi zat aktif 7% dengan perbedaan konsentrasi perbandinggan geeling agent, F1 menggunakan karbopol 0,5% dan HPMC 0,5%, F2 menggunakan HMPC 1%, dan F2 menggunakan 1%. Hasil evaluasi uji karakteristik sediaan didapatkan hasil bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi gelling agent antara karbopol dan HPMC dapat mempengaruhi karakteristik sediaan gel dan hasil evaluasi uji antioksidan dianalisa menggunkan software SPSS sengan tingkat kepercayaan 0,05. Berdasarkan pengujian aktivitas antioksidan F1, F2, dan F3 memiliki aktivitas mampu menangkal radikal bebas. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh F1 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dengan nilai IC₅₀ 43,353 ± 0,07 ppm.
