Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of person-job fit and competence on employee performance at the Central Sulawesi Education Office. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 55 employees as the research sample, which was determined using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression using SPSS. The results of the study indicate that partially person-job fit has no significant effect on employee performance, while competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, person-job fit and competence have a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a coefficient of determination of 0.797, indicating that both variables are able to explain 79.7% of the variation in employee performance. These findings indicate that increasing employee competence is a major factor in improving performance, while person-job fit will be more effective if supported by adequate competence. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for agencies in human resource management, especially in efforts to improve employee performance.

The community's low understanding of financial management means that financial management education is carried out which aims to provide understanding and knowledge about the importance of financial planning and how to allocate good expenditure items within the family environment. The method used in this education is the method of discussion and question and answer as an effort to find out the extent of knowledge of residents about their finances. The results of this education show an increase in public knowledge about managing their finances, before this education was carried out only some residents knew the ideal percentage of expenditure items in their family. then after educating the implementing party to evaluate it, it can be seen that there is an increase in residents' understanding of the ideal percentage for spending based on needs, wants and savings and the maximum debt they have.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and work motivation on employee loyalty at the Bungku Pesisir District Office, Morowali Regency. The study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 40 employees as respondents. The research instrument consisted of 36 statement items with the variables of leadership style (X1), work motivation (X2), and employee loyalty (Y). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that leadership style and work motivation were in the high category, while employee loyalty was also classified as very good. Normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests showed that the regression model met the requirements of the analysis. The results of multiple linear regression showed that leadership style and work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty, both partially and simultaneously. A determination coefficient (R²) of 0.725 showed that 73% of employee loyalty variations were influenced by these two independent variables, while the other 27% were influenced by other factors outside the study. Thus, this study concludes that improving effective leadership style and strong work motivation play an important role in strengthening employee loyalty in the Bungku Pesisir District Office. The results of this study imply that organizations need to improve the quality of leadership and create a work environment that can motivate employees optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and human resource quality on employee performance at the Class III Kolonodale Port Operations Unit (UPP). Employee performance is key to an organization's success in providing optimal public services. Two important factors analyzed in this study are leadership as a guide and motivator, and human resource quality, which encompasses skills, knowledge, and work attitudes. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach with data collection using a questionnaire. The population in this study was all 40 employees of the Class III Kolonodale UPP Office, who also served as a sample (census). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results show that simultaneously, leadership and human resource quality significantly influence employee performance. Partially, each variable of leadership and human resource quality also has a significant influence on employee performance. These findings indicate the importance of fair, communicative, and supportive leadership, as well as improving human resource quality through training and competency development, in enhancing employee performance.
