Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties faced by fifth-grade elementary students in understanding the geographical location of Indonesia on a map due to the lack of creative and innovative learning media. Therefore, the study aims to develop a learning media called The Amazing E-Book Map. The research method used is D&D (Design and Development) with the PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) development model. Data was collected through observations, interviews, assessments of media feasibility by subject matter experts and design experts, and user responses (teachers and students). The data analysis employed both qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of the media feasibility assessment showed that the subject matter experts gave a score of 88.75%, and the design experts gave a score of 91.42%. The overall average percentage of media feasibility scores from the experts was 90.08%, categorized as "Very Good" with the feasibility level of "Highly Feasible, can be used without revision." Additionally, user responses indicated scores of 98.57% from both teachers and students, with an overall average of 98.57%, also categorized as "Very Good." These results demonstrate that this media is highly relevant for use in teaching, both as a self-learning tool and for overcoming students' difficulties in understanding the material

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sejumlah siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis teks eksplanasi yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti bimbingan guru yang tidak efektif, pendekatan pembelajaran yang belum tepat, dan motivasi yang kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen (quasi experimental research) dengan posttest-only control group design. Sampel berjumlah 38 siswa kelas V dengan 19 orang di setiap kelas (kelas A dan B). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa hasil tes (posttest). Penilaian didasarkan pada 4 aspek yang ditetapkan sebagai indikator menulis teks eksplanasi meliputi struktur teks, isi teks, ciri kebahasaan dan aspek mekanik. Hasil penelitian memperoleh dua temuan. Pertama, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi pada kelas kontrol tergolong dalam kategori baik, cukup baik, dan memerlukan bimbingan. Sedangkan, pada kelas eksperimen kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik, baik, dan cukup baik. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil posttest kelas eksperimen lebih besar dengan rata-rata sebesar 85,52 daripada hasil rata-rata posttest yang diperoleh kelas kontrol sebesar 71,71. Kedua, model pembelajaran RADEC efektif dan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini terlihat dari perolehan hasil uji Mann-Whitney dengan nilai korelasi Rank-Biserial (rB) sebesar 0,53. Selain itu, kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai median dan distribusi nilai yang lebih tinggi dan dan konsisten dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how the transformational leadership model in improving the quality of academic services implemented in elementary schools. This study was conducted using survey methods and interviews with 50 elementary school teachers in Sumedang, West Java Province, Indonesia. This study aims to find out how implementing transformational leadership in elementary schools improves academic services across different dimensions, aiming to identify the average improvement. The findings indicated that the overall dimensions of the transformational leadership model were rated as good. These dimensions include idealized influence (charismatic), intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, and inspirational motivation. While not achieving a perfect score, it is anticipated that the average scores across these four dimensions of the transformational leadership model will significantly contribute to improving the quality of academic services in elementary schools.

Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat kemampuan pemahaman terhadap isi bacaan dan hal ini menyebabkan peserta didik mengalami kesulitan untuk menyelesaikan soal – soal yang berhubungan dengan isi bacaan yang kemudian berdampak motivasi belajar dan rendahnya minat peserta didik sehingga berujung pada ketidaksukaan peserta didik terhadap pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yaitu dengan materi teks biografi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan metode speed reading dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada teks biografi di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasy eksperimen – Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design dengan populasi yang diteliti adalah peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen terdiri dari 30 peserta dididk dan kelas kontrol pun terdiri dari 30 peserta didik. Pengukuran data diolah dengan menggunakan IBM SPSS 26. Berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan uji N-Gain hasil dari pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya efektivitas metode speed reading untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman yaitu dengan ditandai nilai persentase kelas eksperimen 47% sedangkan nilai persentase kelas kontrol 6,1%. Maka, dapat disimpulkan penggunaan metode speed reading lebih efektif daripada metode konvensional.

Abstract

The transformation of culture to the younger generation is very important to be carried out through learning in schools by integrating culture and cultural values in the ethno-pedagogical-based learning process. Based on this statement, the purpose of this study was to analyze school teachers' perceptions of Ethno pedagogy and its implementation in learning in elementary schools. The method used in this research is the descriptive method with survey design. The subjects in this study were elementary school teachers in one of the cities in West Java with a total of 89 teachers. The research instrument is an interview sheet instrument to determine the perception of elementary school teachers on Ethno pedagogy and its implementation. The results of his research obtained several themes regarding Ethno pedagogy, namely learning based on local wisdom values, culture-based learning, and learning based on ethnic diversity, ethnicity, and customs, 81% of 89 elementary school teachers had implemented Ethno pedagogy-based learning, and 100% of 89 teachers stated that Ethno pedagogy is very important to understand and implement in learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Low comprehension of poetry texts among students is a significant educational challenge. It is characterized by difficulties in interpreting content and answering related questions. Monotonous teaching methods that fail to engage students or provide opportunities for deep exploration of poetic texts often cause this issue. If left unaddressed, this problem can hinder learning goals. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Reflect, Review (SQ4R) method, assisted by e-book media, on improving poetry text comprehension in fourth-grade students. A quantitative, pre-experimental approach using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was employed. The entire population of 30 fourth-grade students was sampled through saturated sampling. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests and analyzed using a paired-samples t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in poetry comprehension, supporting the alternative hypothesis. The N-Gain analysis revealed a moderate level of improvement. Despite the modest gain, these findings suggest that the SQ4R method, when combined with e-book media, can significantly enhance students' poetry comprehension skills. This approach offers a more engaging and effective learning strategy compared to traditional methods. Future research should investigate the long-term effects of this method and its applicability across different age groups and literary genres. These results provide valuable insights for educators looking to diversify their teaching methods in reading comprehension instruction.

Abstract

The lack of development of teaching materials in learning activities impacts student understanding because students cannot fully explore their knowledge. As a result, students feel bored because there are no other teaching materials that can be a source of student learning at school where the teacher cannot provide the teaching materials needed by students, so these conditions become a factor in conducting this research. This study uses the Research and Development methodology with the ADDIE product development model, which consists of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of problem-based PPKn E-Module development on understanding Pancasila values and the effectiveness of problem-based PPKn E-Module implementation in increasing student understanding. Based on research conducted by researchers on the development of E-Modules, the results show that E-Modules are suitable for use in learning with a feasibility level obtained from media experts of 95%, material experts of 92.5%, individual student trials of 89.1%, small group trials of 83%, and field trials of 86.5%. Data analysis from the students' pre-test and post-test showed a difference in average results between the pre-test of 71.61% and the post-test of 83.39, so it can be said that problem-based learning-based PPKn E-Module is effectively used in learning. Minimnya pengembangan bahan ajar dalam kegiatan pembelajaran memberikan dampak terhadap tingkat pemahaman siswa karena siswa tidak bisa menggali pengetahuannya dengan maksimal. Akibatnya siswa merasa bosan karena tidak adanya bahan ajar lain yang dapat menjadi sumber belajar siswa di sekolah yang mana guru tidak mampu menyediakan bahan ajar yang diperlukan siswa sehingga kondisi tersebut menjadi faktor dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Research and Development dengan model pengembangan produk ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima fase: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelayakan pengembangan E-Modul PPKn berbasis problem based learning pada pemahaman nilai-nilai Pancasila dan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan E-Modul PPKn berbasis problem based learning terhadap peningkatan pemahaman siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan peneliti tentang pengembangan E-Modul, diperoleh hasil bahwa E-Modul layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan tingkat kelayakan yang didapat dari ahli media sebesar 95%, ahli materi sebesar 92,5%, uji coba siswa perseorangan sebesar 89,1%, uji coba kelompok kecil sebesar 83%, dan uji lapangan sebesar 86,5%. Analisis data dari hasil pre-test dan post-test siswa menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil rata-rata antara pre-test sebesar 71,61% dan post-test sebesar 83,39%, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa E-Modul PPKn berbasis problem based learning efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Motor skills are natural abilities that are used throughout life. However, at this stage of student development, there needs to be increased development of motor skills. Not all students' motor development processes are the same. From the results of observations, several children experienced delays in writing motor skills, especially when writing. Researchers took action that was influential in treating fine motor disorders in students, namely handwriting therapy by applying Android learning media in the form of the ABC Kids application to class III students at SDN Sukaraja I Sumedang. This research implemented a one group pretest-posttest design with a total of 19 students as research subjects. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The research was conducted for 3 days. The first two days showed that students still did not know letters and could not write well, and on the third day students began to show the ability to recognize letters and write well. The results of the normality test show that a value of sig=.0013 is obtained, which means it is smaller than a 0.05, which indicates that the data is not normally distributed with a small number of samples, so a non-parametric statistical test is carried out. In the Wilcoxon test, a significant value of .000 is obtained < 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. The results of the research show that there are differences in the fine motor development abilities of students before and after being given the ABC Kids application to lower class students in elementary school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menerapkan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Kelebihan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching yaitu menekankan daya pikir siswa untuk mengerti materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidaknya model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching terhadap minat dan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, perbedaan penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dengan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap proses pembelajaran di kelas, tanggapan dari guru dan peserta didik ketika model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching diterapkan terkhusus pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Sedangkan desain dari penelitian ini yaitu non equivalent control group design, diujikan pada dua kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu berupa wawancara, angket minat belajar dan tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman Kemudian, data dari penelitian ini menghasilkan dua hasil yaitu data kuantitatif serta kualitatif. Berdasarkan pada hasil rekapitulasi rata- rata nilai Gain kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada kelas eksperimen didapat hasil yaitu 0,70 dengan klasifikasi tinggi yang artinya model Reciprocal Teaching berpengaruh positif. Kemudian berdasarkan pada rekapitulasi rata-rata nilai Gain angket minat siswa pada kelas eksperimen didapatkan hasil yaitu 0,10 dengan klasifikasi peningkatan rendah artinya meskipun peningkatan rendah di kelas eksperimen, penerapan model Reciprocal Teaching berpengaruh positif untuk meningkatkan minat siswa.
