Abstract

This study examines the role of principal leadership in managing the Tahfidz-based curriculum at MTs Hidayatul Hikmah Tanjung Jabung Barat, aiming to enhance students' character through intellectual and spiritual development via Quran memorization. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, collecting data through interviews with the principal, teachers, students, and parents and direct observations of the implementation of the Tahfidz program. The data analysis technique is an interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and iterative conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that transformational leadership plays a crucial role in the effective implementation of the curriculum. The principal's clear vision, motivational strategies, and stakeholder engagement significantly contribute to the program's success. Key strategies, such as structured Tahfidz schedules, the Talaqqi method, and intensive mentoring, have improved students' Quranic memorization skills and comprehension. Despite its success, the program faces limited facilities, varying student motivation levels, and the need for enhanced teacher training.

Abstract

: Indonesia is a Republican State, not a theocracy state based on a particular religious teaching. Because that's the importance of compiling an educational formulation based on religious values ​​in general (not from a particular religion). That ideal was initiated by Ki Hadjar Dewantara. Through the reading of philosophical hermeneutics, the author wants to revitalize the educational thinking of Ki Hadjar Dewantara. Formulation of the problem in this study to investigate 1. How was the transformation of culture initiated by Ki Hadjar Dewantara? 2. What is the Education perspective of Ki Hadjar Dewantara? 3. What is the relation between education (religion) and the perspective culture of Ki Hajar Dewantara's thinking? The results of the study revealed that 1. Through the three-way journey: continuous, convergent, concentric, Ki Hadjar tried to compile his argument about maintaining local traditions and embracing them in national culture. 2. Human nature is an independent and outward soul. Practically, the concept of education that he applied in Taman Siswa is by rejecting the teachings of coercion, orders and punishments, because they are deemed inhuman and in accordance with human nature. Whereas, the nature of nationalism is to live together, one country and one nation, with the spirit of nationalism. 3. The relation between education (religion) and culture are each placed in public space (education and culture) and private (religion)

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the relationship between teacher training and the use of learning media on student learning achievement at MAN Tulungagung, Indonesia. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research population was 243 teachers, and the sample was taken using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, resulting in a sample of 151 respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a rating scale using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques used linear regression analysis and multiple regression using SPSS software. The research results showed a positive and significant relationship between teacher training and student learning achievement (β = 0.37, p < 0.05). Likewise, there is a positive and significant relationship between the use of learning media and student learning achievement (β = 0.45, p < 0.05). Multiple regression analysis showed that these two factors simultaneously have a significant influence on student learning achievement (β_Teacher Training = 0.35, p < 0.05; β_Learning Media = 0.42, p < 0.05). The research results highlight the importance of improving teacher training quality and using innovative and effective learning media to improve student learning quality. The synergy of these two factors can create a more holistic and in-depth learning experience for students. Therefore, an integrated strategy of teacher training and learning media-based curriculum development can improve student achievement.

Abstract

This research will examine how organizational institutions influence the formation of individual behaviour, while many other studies emphasize how individual behaviour influences organizational culture. This research will provide a broader picture of the factors that influence the formation of individual behaviour, especially from the perspective of organizational institutions. The method used in this research is a literature study, which collects data through written sources such as relevant journals and books. Data analysis was done using descriptive analysis, looking for patterns and finding themes from the collected materials. This study concludes (1) Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia can shape the biographical character of moderate Indonesian Islam, (2) Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia seek to shape individual behaviour that has the expected abilities following Islamic teachings and principles, (3) Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia strive to form positive personalities, namely individuals who have integrity, professionalism, innovation, responsibility and exemplary. (4) The process of behaviour change that occurs in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia can occur through social interaction, understanding of Islamic teachings, and the relationship between individual behaviour and the consequences it produces. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji bagaimana institusi organisasi mempengaruhi pembentukan perilaku individu, sementara banyak penelitian lain yang menekankan bagaimana perilaku individu mempengaruhi budaya organisasi. Penelitian ini akan memberikan gambaran yang lebih luas mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan perilaku individu, terutama dari sudut pandang institusi organisasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur, yaitu pengumpulan data melalui sumber tertulis seperti jurnal dan buku yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, mencari pola dan menemukan tema dari bahan yang dikumpulkan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan (1) Lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dapat membentuk karakter biografi Islam Indonesia yang moderat, (2) Lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia berupaya membentuk perilaku individu yang memiliki kemampuan yang diharapkan sesuai dengan ajaran dan prinsip Islam, (3) Pendidikan Islam institusi di Indonesia berupaya untuk membentuk pribadi-pribadi positif, yaitu individu-individu yang mempunyai integritas, profesionalisme, inovasi, tanggung jawab dan keteladanan. (4) Proses perubahan perilaku yang terjadi pada lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dapat terjadi melalui interaksi sosial, pemahaman ajaran Islam, dan hubungan antara perilaku individu dengan akibat yang ditimbulkannya.

Abstract

Cassava, one of the staple foods of Indonesian people beside rice and sago, is promoted by the government as rice consumption replacements, together with corn, sago or potatoes. Cassava is indeed very easy to plant in all types of land, as in Krajan Hamlet, Blimbing Village, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency where almost every house has cassava plants on its garden. This fact encourages the engagement team to take the initiative to provide training of creative cassava processing. This activity aims to increase the economical value of cassava, which is one of the assets in the Krajan Hamlet, and is expected to be able to increase the family income, most of which are former migrant workers. Through the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method with some of its tools, found that the innovative and creative cassava process training in the form of "Si Engkong" cake can provide new insights and knowledge about cassava processing that have high selling points within the community. With a better processing of cassava, "Si Engkong" cake is expected to become a new trade commodity for the residents of Krajan Hamlet and its surroundings, so that it can raise the community's economy level. Keywords: ABCD, cassava processing, economical value, processed cassava, training Abstrak Singkong, salah satu makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia selain nasi dan sagu, dipromosikan oleh pemerintah sebagai pengganti konsumsi beras, bersama dengan jagung, sagu atau kentang. Singkong memang sangat mudah ditanam di semua jenis tanah, seperti di Dusun Krajan, Desa Blimbing, Kecamatan Dolopo, Kabupaten Madiun di mana hampir setiap rumah memiliki tanaman singkong di kebunnya. Fakta ini mendorong tim pengabdi untuk mengambil inisiatif memberikan pelatihan pengolahan singkong. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomis singkong, yang merupakan salah satu aset di Dusun Krajan, dan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga, yang sebagian besar adalah mantan pekerja migran. Melalui metode ABCD (Pengembangan Masyarakat Berbasis Aset) dengan beberapa alatnya, ditemukan bahwa pelatihan proses singkong yang inovatif dan kreatif dalam bentuk kue "Si Engkong" dapat memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan baru tentang pemrosesan singkong yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Dengan pengolahan singkong yang lebih baik, kue "Si Engkong" diharapkan menjadi komoditas perdagangan baru bagi penduduk Dusun Krajan dan sekitarnya, sehingga dapat meningkatkan tingkat ekonomi masyarakat. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the implementation of unggul accreditation as a brand image strategy to enhance the competitive advantage of higher education institutions. Focusing on the Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) Study Program at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, this research explores how quality-based marketing strategies—through planning, brand-building factors, and positioning—contribute to institutional reputation and student trust. Using a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that unggul accreditation serves not only as a quality assurance label but also as a key branding component that differentiates the program from its competitors. Key success factors include the formation of an accreditation team, strong curriculum design, excellent infrastructure, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Strategies employed include clear positioning, effective differentiation, and integrated branding efforts that leverage institutional excellence, brand association, and uniqueness.

Abstract

Public sector efficiency plays a critical role in determining the quality of public services and fostering sustainable economic development. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between public sector efficiency and economic development across nations through a library research approach. Drawing upon a comprehensive review of academic literature, policy reports from international organizations such as the World Bank, IMF, and OECD, and previous empirical studies, this research synthesizes key findings on how efficient governance contributes to economic growth, human development, and poverty reduction. The results indicate that countries with higher levels of public sector efficiency tend to exhibit better development outcomes, including more effective service delivery, improved budget allocation, and inclusive growth. Furthermore, strong institutional capacity, fiscal transparency, and accountable governance are consistently associated with positive development performance. The study concludes that enhancing public sector efficiency through bureaucratic reform, digital innovation, and institutional strengthening is essential to achieving sustainable development goals. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and scholars seeking to formulate governance-based strategies for national and global development.

Abstract

This study examines the management of innovation initiation in Islamic education and its implications for strengthening madrasah competitiveness, using MAN 2 Tulungagung and MAN 2 Kota Kediri as multisite cases. While existing studies on Islamic educational innovation primarily focus on implementation and outcomes, the initiation phase of innovation remains underexplored, particularly in the context of madrasah management. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach within a naturalistic paradigm, this research explores how innovation initiation is strategically managed across three domains: curriculum, student development, and human resources (teachers). The findings indicate that innovation initiation is driven by benchmarking, internal awareness building, and systematic identification of student potential through psychological and talent–interest assessments. MAN 2 Tulungagung initiated innovation through talent-based superior classes and differentiated instruction aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, supported by structured teacher development. In contrast, MAN 2 Kota Kediri adopted an integrative model that connects intrakurikuler, kokurikuler, and ekstrakurikuler programs through its “Red Carpet” philosophy, emphasizing holistic talent development and character formation. Across both sites, innovation initiation is characterized by collaborative decision-making, curriculum flexibility, professional learning communities, and strong leadership commitment. This study contributes novel insights by conceptualizing innovation initiation as a strategic managerial process that precedes implementation and directly shapes institutional competitiveness. It demonstrates that innovation initiation grounded in Islamic educational values functions as a foundational driver of academic excellence, institutional differentiation, and sustainable competitive advantage in contemporary madrasahs.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perdebatan panjang terjadi khususnya dalam hal teori belajar. Bermuara pada pertanyaan, apakah siswa dapat mengkonstruk sendiri pengetahuannya atau guru satu-satunya sumber belajar utama? Ki Hajar Dewantara dalam sejarahnya merupakan tokoh awal pendidik Indonesia yang visioner. Beliau membentuk Taman Siswa untuk menentang konsep pendidikan ala Belanda yang menghegemoni dan menjajah (Inferiority complex) kaum pribumi kala itu, sehingga membuat rakyat Indonesia tidak bisa berfikir secara merdeka. Konsep “berfikir merdeka” itulah, yang saat ini ditangkap oleh pemerintah melalui penerapan Kurikulum 2013 dengan pendekatan scientific. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian literatur yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan hermeneutika filosofis, dengan tokohnya Gadamer. Penelitian ini ingin mengungkap (1) Bagaimana konsep teori belajar konstruktivisme Ki Hajar Dewantara? (2) Bagaimana relevansi pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara mengenai teori belajar konstruktivisme dengan Kurikulum 2013? Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk memberikan gambaran pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara tentang Teori Belajar Konstruktivisme dan relevansinya dengan Kurikulum 2013. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan: Pertama, teori belajar konstruktivisme Ki Hajar Dewantara yaitu: (1) Kesetaraan antara Peserta Didik dan Guru (2) Pemanfaatan sumber belajar lingkungan dan budaya (3) Pembelajaran berbasis observasi (4) Pembelajaran merdeka (5) Tut Wuri Handayani. Kedua, pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewamtara atas Relevansinya dengan Kurikulum 2013 dikaji melalui 2 aspek, yaitu: penekanan instruksional serta peran guru dan siswa.

Abstract

Perkembangan manajemen yang begitu dahsyat era modern ini, berawal dari perubahan paradigma manajemen tradisional menuju manajemen modern yang berbasis pengetahuan. Paradigma baru itu kemudian dibawa pada ranah manajemen lembaga pendidikan Islam. Ada tiga tingkatan dalam perencanaan strategik. Pertama ialah menetapkan strategi tingkat korporat, kedua bagaimana unit bisnis mengembangkan strategi dan ketiga strategi operasional. Objek dalam penelitian ini yaitu UIN SATU Tulungagung karena mempunyai keunikan mengembangkan unit bisnis. Penelitian ini ingin menggali sisi kosong mengenai strategi unit bisnis yang dikembangkan oleh UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah (SATU) Tulungagung di level fakultas dan Badan Layanan Umum. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, jenis studi lapangan (field research) dengan meminjam teori strategi generic dari Porter. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan: 1) Strategi unit bisnis untuk meningkatkan daya saing lembaga yaitu dengan mengembangkan BLU dan empat Fakultas yang ada di UIN SATU Tulungagung 2). Dalam perguruan tinggi Islam istilah hierarki strategi bertransformasi menjadi strategi institusional, strategi fakultas, dan strategi jurusan. 3). Strategi Unit Bisnis di UIN SATU Tulungagung menggunakan empat strategi generik, yakni: Strategi Kepemimpinan Biaya, Strategi Fokus–Biaya Rendah, Strategi diferensiasi dan Strategi Fokus, yang diterapkan oleh masing-masing Fakultas dan Badan Layanan Umum. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya mengembangkan strategi unit bisnis pada lembaga pendidikan yang menggunakan BLU. Kata Kunci: Bussines Unit Strategies, Manajemen Strategik, Daya Saing
