Abstract

Mathematical reflective thinking, a cornerstone of deep comprehension and effective problem-solving, frequently presents student challenges. This research explores the efficacy of a metacognitive strategy, examining its influence on primary school students' mathematical reflective thinking, particularly considering variations in Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) abilities. This research employed the quantitative methodology with a quasi-experimental design, incorporating pre-test and post-tests with non-randomized groups. Fifty fifth-grade students participated, and data was gathered through assessments and questionnaires. Statistical analysis, including univariate tests and independent samples t-tests, was conducted. The findings revealed a significant impact, with a p-value of 0.040 and an R-squared value of 0.855, indicating that 85.5% of the variance in reflective thinking could be attributed to the metacognitive approach. Notably, students demonstrating higher SRL levels exhibited a greater propensity to enhance their reflective thinking through metacognitive processes, such as planning, monitoring, and evaluation. Consequently, future research should explore reflective thinking with diverse learning interventions while still considering SRL differences and focusing on strengthening SRL generalization activities. This study implied that a metacognitive approach is a valuable pedagogical tool for educators and researchers aiming to foster mathematical reflective thinking while acknowledging and addressing individual cognitive variations, especially those related to SRL.

Abstract

Kantin sekolah SMP YBPK Kota Kediri merupakan salah satu kantin sekolah yang kurang dikelolah dengan baik, keterbatasan modal dan kekurangan sumber daya pengelola kantin yang komptenen menjadikan kantin dioperasionalkan tidak selayaknya kantin sekolah pada umumnya. Jajanan dan minuman yang dijual berasal dari usaha sampingan guru dan jajanan disajikan diatas meja sekolah, kemudian setelah kegiatan belajar mengajar berakhir maka meja kantin tersebut dibereskan. berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dibutuhkan kantin yang dapat dikelolah secara professional. Kantin merdeka merupakan istilah lain dari kantin kejujuran adalah solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan modal dan kekurangan sumber daya pengelolah kantin yang ada sekolah tersebut. Pendampingan pengelolaan kantin merdeka di SMP YBPK Kota Kediri bertujuan untuk mengoptimalisasikan pengelolaan kantin merdeka di SMP YBPK Kota Kediri. Terciptanya kantin merdeka yang dikelolah secara optimal merupakan hasil yang dicapai dalam program pengabdian pada masyarakat ini.

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this service activity is to provide training to PAUD teachers to develop games to enhance independent play. Method: The training method uses hands-on practice in the field. Results: The results of the training show that this training can improve PAUD teachers' understanding in providing game materials as a means to enhance children's independent play. Novelty: This training has implications for understanding children’s independent play among the community, especially parents.

Abstract

General Background: Teacher motivation is a crucial determinant of educational quality, influencing teaching performance, student engagement, and school outcomes. Specific Background: At SD Muhammadiyah 1 Candi, Sidoarjo, understanding the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of fourth-grade teachers is essential to optimize learning processes. Knowledge Gap: Despite existing studies on teacher motivation, limited research has explored the application of Herzberg’s two-factor theory in the context of Muhammadiyah elementary schools. Aim: This study aims to analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors influencing fourth-grade teachers’ teaching performance. Methods: A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using in-depth interviews, classroom observations, questionnaires, and documentation, with data analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: Findings indicate that intrinsic motivation—personal satisfaction, teaching enthusiasm, and professionalism—is the primary driver of teacher performance, while extrinsic factors such as salary, social recognition, and work environment serve as reinforcing elements. Novelty: The study highlights the dominant role of intrinsic motivation within a Muhammadiyah school context, emphasizing the interplay between personal dedication and institutional support. Implications: Strengthening intrinsic motivation alongside adequate extrinsic support fosters productive teaching conditions, improving learning quality. Abstract

General Background: Developing students’ religious attitudes is a crucial aspect of character education in primary schools, particularly in the context of Social Studies learning. Specific Background: Integrative learning based on Islamic values offers opportunities to incorporate moral and spiritual dimensions alongside cognitive and psychomotor skills. Knowledge Gap: However, limited studies examine how such integrative approaches manifest in improving students’ daily religious practices and attitudes. Aims: This study investigates how integrative Islamic-based learning in Social Studies shapes the religious attitudes of fourth-grade students. Results: Findings indicate that students exposed to integrative learning demonstrate significant improvements in cognitive understanding, affective disposition, psychomotor engagement, and the practical application of religious values in daily life. Novelty: This study highlights a comprehensive framework linking Islamic values to multiple learning domains, providing evidence beyond conventional moral education approaches. Implications: The findings suggest that embedding spiritual and moral elements within standard curricular subjects can foster holistic development, guiding educators in designing value-oriented learning activities that influence both classroom behavior and everyday practices. Highlights: Integrative learning promotes holistic development across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Practical application of religious values in daily life is enhanced. Abstract

This study aims to produce a design of learning based on local wisdom at elementary school in Sidoarjo District aquaculture area. As is known from the analysis of children's learning problems in farming areas, that enthusiasm for learning is low, meaningless learning for the coastal environment situation. The research method uses research & development to produce the design of elementary school in the pond area. The result is a learning design that adapts the material topics according to the local advantages of aquaculture, and the development of learning media from pond algae.

Abstract

Hari pertama sekolah merupakan hari paling awal dan sangat bermanfaat dalam memulai kegiatan di sekolah bagi seorang siswa, namun saat ini banyak siswa yang datang pada hari pertama tanpa didampingi oleh orang tua. Padahal peran orang tua tidak kalah penting dengan guru pada hari pertama anak masuk sekolah. Datangnya orang tua pada hari pertama sekolah dapat menumbuhkan motivasi anak dalam belajar. Orang tua juga dapat membina komunikasi dengan pihak sekolah demi kelangsungan pendidikan anak. Selain itu, orang tua juga dapat memantau kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh sekolah. Untuk mendukung kegiatan orang tua yang penting pada hari pertama masuk sekolah bagi anak, pemerintah melalui kementerian pendidikan mengeluarkan sebuah surat edaran no 4 tahun 2016 tentang hari pertama sekolah. Meskipun dalam implementasinya, surat edaran ini mengalami pro dan kontra juga beberapa kendala, namun dengan dikeluarkannya surat edaran ini dapat membantu meringankan perijinan bagi orang tua agar dapat mengantar anaknya sekolah karena pada hari pertama sekolah perlu adanya peranan orang tua.

Abstract

This research article aims to guarantee high quality and fair education. System Theory, this study aims to identify effective education management practices in urban primary schools Sidoarjo.This research is carried out using data compiled and analyzed using a qualitative research model Case Studies. The results show that education management has a positive impact on high-quality education in city schools.The subject of this study is the management of the Basic School of Muhammadiyah 1 Sidoarjo. The results of this research show that internet facilities have a positive effect on quality education, their absence undermines the quality of education in city schools. In addition, it is suggested that the Ministry of Education should arrange professional training for the head of school and teachers to improve their monitoring and supervision strategies.

Abstract

Kemudahan anak-anak mengakses YouTube dengan bebas tidak diimbangi dengan sajian konten yang diberikan. Konten di YouTube berisiko membawa dampak buruk bagi anak. Agar nonton video di YouTube tetap aman tanpa melarang anak diperlukan cara yang bisa dilakukan oleh orang tua. Salah satu cara adalah dengan menyediakan aplikasi yang didalamnya terdapat konten yang aman, sesuai usia untuk anak-anak dan parental control. Aplikasi yang digunakan dapat menghindarkan anak dari segala potensi yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data terkait sumber media yang dianggap sebagai solusi untuk mencegah anak-anak terpapar konten negatif di YouTube. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan mereview semua artikel terkait dengan YouTube Kids yang diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 2019-2022. Artikel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 6 artikel jurnal ilmiah yang terindeks ke dalam database Google Scholar terindeks SINTA menggunakan aplikasi mendeley dan VOSview. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa YouTube Kids merupakan solusi untuk mengurangi pengaruh negatif YouTube bagi anak sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penguatan pendidikan karakter religus melalui pembiasaan budaya sekolah ini berperan penting untuk membentuk generasi bangsa yang berkualitas. Penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah bermanfaat untuk terbentuknya generasi bangsa yang bukan hanya unggul dalam bidang akademik akan tetapi juga unggul mempunyai akhlakul karimah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan penguatan pendidikan karakter religius melalui pembiasaan budaya sekolah di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Driyorejo serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui pembiasaan budaya sekolah di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Driyoerjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis fenomenologi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa, kegiatan pembiasaan karakter religus melalui budaya sekolah sangat berpengaruh untuk meningkatnya sifat religus siswa, memiliki karakter yang baik, beriman, bertanggung jawab dan memiliki sikap akhlaku karimah. Faktor pendukung meliputi kondisi lingkungan, peran guru dan kerja sama antara berbagai pihak seperti, orang tua dengan warga sekolah. Hambatannya adanya penolakan pada siswa maupun wali murid. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian yang berlokasi di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Driyorejo sesuai dengan visi dan misi yaitu, terbentuknya siswa yang unggul, teladan, beriman dan bertanggung jawab serta mengamalkan ilmu pengetahun dalam aktivitas sehari-hari.
