Abstract

Abstract. This development research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Learning Resources Learning Cycle models through stages in the four D (4D) development research model proposed by Thiagrajan (1974). The type of research used is descriptive research. The research was carried out at junior high school level (SMP) precisely in Makassar VII grade VIII. The research instrument used was a learning cycle activity observation sheet and a student questionnaire response to Learning Resources. Based on the results of the effectiveness test with parametric statistical analysis between differences in class learning outcomes taught by Learning Sources the learning cycle model shows positive results compared to classes that are not taught using learning resources or conventionally, which is shown by the average corrected learning outcomes in the experimental class of 76 , 84 is higher than the class taught conventionally which is 69.82, and obtained a positive response of students by 95.83%. So from the results of the study concluded that the application of Learning Resources leaning cycle models of students provide a positive response to its application. Keywords: Learning resources, learning cycle.

Abstract

Abstract.  This research is a correlational research that aims to determine the relationship of emotional intelligence with student biology learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau of Barru District. Population in this research was class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau, with total of sample are 60 students selected by random sampling technique that was random sample determination. The research instrument in question is a questionnaire of students' emotional intelligence and learning outcomes on the material of the respiratory system, digestive system and excretion system. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using normality test, linearity test and correlation test using Product Moment Correlation. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS obtained a significance value of 0.006 <α (0.05) indicated that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning outcomes. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and biology learning outcomes student class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Tanete Rilau Barru District. Abstract

Abstract. This study is a quasi experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design that aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of direct instruction learning models in the study of biology in kingdom monera material. The study sample was randomly selected and selected class X MIA 2 as the experimental class. Data collection techniques through giving tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) learning to measure student learning outcomes and observation of learning activities of students during the learning process. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis with t test. The results showed that the direct instruction learning model was effectively applied in the biology learning class X MAN 1 Makassar in Kingdom Monera material. Improved student learning outcomes are seen in the normalized gain average of 0.7423 which is in the high category. The proportion of students who reach KKM or in the complete category after being taught with Direct Instruction learning model is 78.95%. The activities of students as much as 81.58% are in the active category. Keywords: direct instruction, learning outcomes, learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract.  This research is pra-experimental design that aims to determine effectiveness of student‟s learning interest and outcomes toward learning strategies based humor on genetic subject of student grade XII SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Independent Variabe in this research is the application of learning strategies based humor on genetic subject, while the dependent variable is the student‟s learning interest and outcomes of genetic subject. The population in this study were all students of class XII SMA Negeri 11 Makassar with totally seven classes, while the sample is student‟s grade XII with totally 66 students. Pretest-posstest was used as data collection technique, by used a questionnaire of student learning interest and genetic  achivement test. Data analysis technique that used is a descriptive analysis using the n-gain and inferential analysis using paired sample t-test. Based on the descriptive analysis showed that n-gain value of student‟s interest and learning outcomes of genetics achieve an increase of >75% in the category of medium-high, which are respectively 77% and 92%, whereas the inferential analysis using SPSS showed a significance value 0.000 > α = 0.05 which indicates H0 isrejected and H1 is accepted, that the known application learning strategies based humor on genetic subject  has a significant influence (real) towards the student‟s learning interests  and outcomes. Therefore, based on these two data analysis concluded that the learning strategies based humor on genetic subject effectively to student‟s learning interest and outcomes of student of grade XII SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this study was to develop a valid handout which containing Islamic values on the material of a reproduction system that is valid and to analyze teacher and student response data to handouts. This is a research and development research (R & D), which adapts the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stage : (1) Analyze; (2) Design; (3) Development; (4) Implementation; (5) Evaluation. The validity tast of teaching materials is based on the results of the assessment of 2 expert validators, while the response data of teacher and students is obtained from the assessment of teachers and student on the use of teaching materials in MAN in Makassar city with research subjects of 2 biology teachers per school and 20 students in each school. Analysis of the result of the study showed that the developed handouts were in the valid category based on the average score of 3.3. The result of the trial are limited to the responses of teacher obtained an average value of 3.7 and are in the good category. The results of trials on students responses on average a value of 3.6 is a good category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of handouts containing Islamic values in the material of the human reproduction system class XI MA as teaching material meets valid and practical criteria.  Keywords: handout, Islamic values reproduction system

Abstract

Abstract. This research is classroom action research conducted over two cycles. The purpose of this study is to improve the activities and learning outcomes of students through the implementation of a Cooperative Learning Model, Two Stay Two Stray. The subject of the study, namely students in grade XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 7 Takalar. Data collection was carried out in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 school year. The research data collected there are two, namely the activities and learning results of students. The learning activities of the learners were collected during the learning process observed by two observers using observation sheets and the data of the study results obtained through the provision of evaluation tests conducted at the third meeting at the end of each cycle, the final test of the cycle given in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 20 (twenty) items. The data obtained is analyzed in 2 ways, namely qualitative analysis for learner learning activities and quantitative analysis for students' learning results. The results of research on learning activities of students showed an average in cycle I of 64.24% and in cycle II by 70.96%, an increase of 6.72%. The study results also showed an average value increase of 70.16% in cycle I and an average value of 79.84% in cycle II. Through quantitative analysis, it is known that the category of completion of students with the percentage of students completed in cycle I is 64.52% and in cycle II reaches 83.87%. So it can be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model; Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) can improve the activities and learning outcomes of studentsKeywords: cooperative learning, two stay two stray, learning activities, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to know 1) to know of learning interest and student learning outcome with learned by guided inquiry and learned by structured inquiry on biology lesson, 2) to know of comparison learning interest and student learning outcome with learned by guided inquiry and learned by structured inquiry on biology lesson. The subjects of research are all classXIMIAMIA seniorhigh school number 2 Palopo that consisted of five class, whilethe sample used consist oftwo class and taken randomly. Design of research used RandomizedPretestPosttest Comparison Group Design. The data of learning interest is obtained with questionnaire while learning outcome with learning test results. The collected data is analyzedby descriptive used NGain and inferential statistic used Independent Sample t Test with significance level α = 0.05. The results of descriptive statistic showed learning interest in lowcategory with value of NGain 0.18 and 0.16 while learning outcome in medium category withvalue 0.51 and 0.38. The results of hypotheses test showed two groups was different significantly with value of learning interest and learning outcome is 0.000 and 0.021,so it wasconclude that there was difference in learning interest and student learning outcome with learning by guided inquiry and learning by structured inquiry on biology lesson. Abstract

Abstract. This descriptive study aims to determine: 1) the suitability of learning objectives with basic competencies (BC), 2) the distribution of cognitive process levels of learning objectives based on Bloom's taxonomy revision, and 3) the completeness of the components of the formulation of learning objectives in the lesson plan (LP) for high school biology teachers at SMA Negeri 14 Gowa. There were 11 LP studied, namely 6 LP for the even semester of class XI and 5 LP for the even semester of class XII for the academic year 2020/2021 which consisted of 22 BC, 80 indicators of competency achievement (ICA), and 80 formulations of learning objectives. The instruments used are assessment sheets and checklists. The data is processed by calculating the percentage (%) of each category. It was concluded: 1) the suitability of the learning objectives with the dominant BC (63.75%) was appropriate, 28.75% was quite suitable, and 7.50% was not suitable; 2) distribution of levels of cognitive process learning objectives based on the revision of Bloom's taxonomy dominant (53.75%) C2, each level has been represented but not proportionally; 3) the completeness of the dominant learning objective component (97.50) is incomplete, containing only audience and behavior components, some even have only behavior components.Keywords: lesson plans, learning objectives, suitability, distribution, completeness.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the comparison of learning outcomes between students who are taught by applying the Question Student Have (QSH) learning method with the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) learning method on the movement system material for class XI SMA Negeri 3 Bone. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 3 Bone in the 2020/2021 academic year, which consisted of seven study groups (rombel). The sample of this study was class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 3 Bone which were selected according to the purpose of this study (purposive sampling). The design of this study was a pretest-posttest comparison group design. Measuring learning outcomes by providing learning outcomes tests. The average learning outcome of students taught by the QSH method is 23.11, while the average learning outcome of students taught by the LSQ method is 31.89. The results of statistical tests using the Mann Whitney Test analysis method were obtained by Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) = 0.04 < 0.05, so it is said that there are differences in biology learning outcomes between students using the Problem Learning method and the Learning Beginning with Problem method on the motion system material, where LSQ is better applied than QSH.Keywords: student have question, learning starts with a question, learning outcome

Abstract

This research aims to produce simulation scenarios for biology materials in Grade XI of Senior High School focusing on the mechanism of human blood circulation. The type of research used is R&D research employing the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The validity and simulation scenarios were assessed by two validated biologist experts from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNM, using simulators and simulation scenario questionnaires. Based on the questionnaire data obtained, the validity of the simulation scenario is Va = 4.12, which falls into the "valid" category (3.5 ≤ Va ≤ 4.5). The practicality of the simulation scenarios was assessed by collecting data through teacher and student assessments based on a practicality assessment questionnaire. The obtained data showed an average percentage of all aspects at 87.41%, indicating a very positive teacher response to the circulation mechanism simulation scenario, while data based on student responses showed an average percentage of all aspects at 82.62%, indicating a positive response from students to the circulatory mechanism simulation scenario. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the simulation scenario for the human circulation mechanism is both valid and practical.Keywords: Simulation scenario, simulation method, 4D, validity, practicality
