Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to enhance public understanding, particularly among the women of Majelis Ta'lim Utsman Bin Affan, regarding nikah sirri from the perspectives of Islamic law and state law. Many people perceive nikah sirri as purely a religious matter, neglecting its broader implications, particularly on the rights and responsibilities of spouses and children. Through interactive socialization and guidance, participants were provided with detailed explanations and engaged in discussions to facilitate better comprehension of the consequences of nikah sirri. These include its impacts on legal, social, and psychological aspects of family life. The activity showed significant results, with participants demonstrating an 80% improvement in understanding compared to their initial knowledge. This initiative not only increased participants' awareness but also encouraged them to share the knowledge gained with their families and communities. The education provided highlighted the importance of considering religious, legal, and social dimensions in choosing formally registered marriages. The findings indicate that the education offered by Majelis Ta'lim Utsman Bin Affan plays a crucial role in reducing nikah sirri practices and fostering greater public awareness about the necessity of marriage legality. By promoting harmonious family life, this program contributes to building a more legally and socially conscious society.

Abstract

This iddah period legal socialization activity aims to increase public understanding, especially the congregation of the Central Cikarang Taklim Nurul Iman Council, about the importance of obeying Islamic law. The material presented includes the meaning, legal basis, types of iddah, prohibitions during the iddah period, as well as legal sanctions for marrying a woman during the iddah period. The method used is a simple lecture with support in the form of modules as learning media, which makes it easier to deliver material to congregations with diverse educational backgrounds. Group discussions are an important part of this activity, which encourages active congregational participation through questions and responses to the material presented. The results of the activity showed that this socialization was successful in increasing the congregation's understanding of the laws of the iddah period, which could be seen from their enthusiasm in participating in discussions and asking questions. Factors supporting the success of this activity include moral support from the surrounding community, adjustments to the regular weekly recitation schedule, the congregation's trust in the assembly, and the contribution of a solid implementation team. This activity not only supports the achievement of the implementing team's academic goals, but also has a positive impact in building awareness of the congregation regarding the importance of complying with Islamic law as a guideline in social life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of religious values in shaping adolescents' character in facing negative influences, particularly LGBT, in both the school and family environments. The methods used in this research include in-depth interviews with Mr. Wawan Iwank Kurniawan, an Islamic Religious Education teacher at SMKN 1 Cikampek, and direct socialization to students in the classroom to enhance their understanding of the importance of religious values in dealing with such social issues. The findings indicate that religious values such as faith, worship, and morality play a crucial role in shaping adolescents' character. Parents, as the "first madrasa," play a primary role in instilling religious values from an early age, while schools contribute by reinforcing religious understanding through humanistic and relevant teaching. Although most parents at SMKN 1 Cikampek are aware of the importance of religious education at home, challenges in optimizing their role still exist. The collaboration between parents and schools has proven effective in strengthening students' character and countering negative influences such as LGBT.

Abstract

With the development of communication and information technology, society's transaction patterns have changed dramatically, especially in terms of sharia economics. Electronic commerce, or e-commerce, has become the main alternative for consumers and business people to carry out transactions quickly. Since Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country, it is very important that e-commerce practices comply with sharia principles, such as honesty, transparency, and freedom from gharar (uncertainty) and maysir (gambling). Sharia-compliant digital transactions are very much needed, especially among students. The aim of this activity is to increase Karawang Islamic Middle School students' understanding of sharia economic concepts and the characteristics of halal digital transactions. By using educational methods, it is hoped that students can understand the types of transactions that are in accordance with sharia and develop a critical view when choosing a digital platform for transactions. Students not only gain theoretical knowledge through these socialization activities, but they are also motivated to participate actively in discussions about their experiences of online transactions. As a result, they have the ability to prepare themselves to face challenges in the digital world while adhering to sharia principles. By understanding in depth, students are expected to help create a stronger sharia economic ecosystem in the internet era.

Abstract

Promiscuity among young people often has negative impacts, such as early marriage or pregnancy out of wedlock. Pregnancy before marriage is a serious issue that confuses many parties, including parents, teachers and community leaders. In situations like this, parents often feel embarrassed and try to find solutions to save the family's good name. Marriage itself is an inner and outer bond between a man and a woman, with the aim of forming a harmonious and eternal family based on divine values. According to some scholars, the legal origin of marriage is mubah (permissible) if it is related to al-ahkam al-khamsah. However, in practice, marriage is often seen as a way to fulfill one's physical or biological needs. This phenomenon occurs more and more often in modern life. Pregnancy out of wedlock is a consequence of sexual relations before marriage. In Indonesia, women who become pregnant out of wedlock are usually married off immediately. Such marriages, known as "pregnancy marriages," may be with the man responsible for the pregnancy or with another man. This article will discuss social and religious approaches in providing counseling about marriage due to adultery, with a focus on strategies to increase legal and moral awareness in the Al-Barakah Ta'lim Council.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Permendikbudristek No. 46 of 2023, Indonesia's bullying prevention policy, in junior high schools in Karawang Regency, where empirical evidence on policy translation at the regency level remains limited. A descriptive-qualitative approach was used. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with school stakeholders (principals, counselors, teachers) and document analysis from three pilot junior high schools in West Java. Thematic analysis was applied inductively. The findings show that bullying prevention is implemented through five integrated strategies: (1) character education embedded in daily routines, (2) establishment of school supervisory teams, (3) teacher capacity building, (4) parental socialization sessions, and (5) school-based awareness campaigns using posters, social media, and educational videos. Character reinforcement is further operationalized through Pancasila Student Profile (P5) projects and routine spiritual, literacy, and numeracy activities. While all three schools implemented the policy, variation was observed: one school demonstrated high consistency across all five strategies, whereas two schools showed partial implementation due to limited teacher training and irregular parental engagement. Nevertheless, all schools reported increased stakeholder awareness (approximately 70–85% of teachers and staff reported improved understanding of bullying indicators) and improved preventive practices, including a 40–50% reduction in reported minor bullying incidents over a six-month period. The study’s reliance on self-reported stakeholder perceptions and document analysis may introduce social desirability bias. The small sample of three schools in one regency limit the generalizability of findings to other regions with different sociocultural or institutional conditions. Additionally, the cross-sectional design captures implementation at a single point in time, precluding conclusions about long-term policy sustainability. Future research should include longitudinal designs and observational methods to validate behavioral changes. This is among the first empirical studies of Permendikbudristek No. 46 in a regency context, offering practical insights for district education authorities and schools implementing national anti-bullying policies.

Abstract

This study analyzes underage marriage in a single household in Wanajaya Village, Cibitung, Bekasi, through the lens of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah (the higher objectives of Islamic law). It aims to identify the socio-religious factors driving early marriage, assess its impacts on the individuals and family, and evaluate alignment between local practices and the five core Maqāṣid protections: religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. A qualitative single-case study design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document review involving 6 participants from one household (underage married woman, her parents, husband, and sibling) and one religious leader in Wanajaya Village. Thematic analysis was guided by the Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah framework. The underage marriage was conducted without court dispensation, facilitated by an unofficial payment to a KUA intermediary. Primary drivers included economic hardship, arranged matchmaking, and low parental education. The impacts – reproductive health concerns, psychological distress, educational truncation, economic vulnerability, and marital instability – violated four of the five Maqāṣid protections (life, intellect, lineage, wealth). The religious leader acknowledged that despite religious justifications, early marriage often leads to greater harm. The study is limited to a single household plus one religious leader, and is not statistically generalizable. Self-reported data may contain bias. Findings offer analytical insights into how procedural circumventions and narrow definitions of readiness contradict higher aims of Islamic law. Unlike prior quantitative or legal analyses, this study combines in-depth household-level fieldwork with a normative Maqāṣid-based critique, including the perspective of a village religious leader, revealing micro-level mechanisms and rationales that sustain underage marriage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze adolescent participation in religious activities at Baiturrahman Mosque, Bumi Karawang Permai Housing Complex, and to identify the influencing factors and impacts arising from such involvement. The research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving mosque administrators, adolescents, and members of the surrounding community. The findings indicate that adolescent participation in religious activities is reflected through their involvement in Islamic studies, social religious programs, Islamic holiday commemorations, and various mosque youth activities. The level of participation is influenced by several factors, including family support, peer environment, the role of mosque administrators, personal motivation, as well as the development of technology and social media. In addition, communicative approaches and inclusive activity environments play an important role in attracting adolescents to become actively involved in mosque activities. This participation has positive impacts on the development of religious character, the enhancement of social responsibility, and the strengthening of relationships among adolescents and the wider community. However, several obstacles remain, such as inconsistent attendance and the influence of digital activities that reduce the intensity of adolescent engagement. Therefore, sustainable guidance and development strategies are needed to encourage more active and productive adolescent participation in religious activities within the mosque environment.
