Abstract

This research aims to test the dimension of literacy in physical education in students at Singaperbangsa Karawang University. Research is conducted using quantitative approaches with survey methods. The population in this study was all student-athletes in various sports at Singaperbangsa Karawang University which amounted to 721 people. The study sample was determined using proportional random sampling techniques totalling 342 people. The dimensions of physical literacy used are the dimensions of variation and utilization of books (BK), dimensions of variation and use of scientific articles (WM), dimensions of variation and utilization of technology (TECH), and dimensions of environmental variation (LK) . Data analysis used is Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with Second-Order Confirmation Factor (SOCF) with Lisrel program version 8.80. Data analysis showed that the literacy scale developed for physical learning is a valid and reliable scale and consists of 15 indicators. The dimension of variety and use of writing materials is the most dominant in shaping college student literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Discovery Learning model on students' learning activities in basic football technique lessons for eighth-grade students at SMP Tunas Dharma. The background of this research is based on the low level of student learning activity and the lack of variety in teaching models applied by teachers, resulting in students tending to be passive during the learning process. Discovery Learning was chosen because it emphasizes student-centered activities to discover concepts through observation, exploration, and drawing conclusions independently. This research employed an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample involved all 54 eighth-grade students at SMP Tunas Dharma. The research instruments were tests of learning activity in basic football techniques including passing, dribbling, shooting, and heading. The results showed an increase in students' learning activities after the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. This was evidenced by higher average posttest scores compared to pretest scores. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model positively influences students' learning activities in basic football technique lessons at SMP Tunas Dharma. This study is expected to serve as a reference for physical education teachers in selecting appropriate teaching models to enhance students' activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK) sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Karawang melalui pelatihan Remix Jump Program, yaitu model pembelajaran kebugaran jasmani berbasis musik digital, gerak ritmis, dan latihan pliometrik sederhana. Kegiatan dilaksanakan sebagai respon terhadap rendahnya variasi pembelajaran PJOK di sekolah, di mana 85% guru belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan pembelajaran berbasis musik dan 90% belum mengenal model Remix Jump. Pelatihan dilakukan dalam empat tahapan, yaitu: (1) persiapan dan koordinasi, (2) sosialisasi dan workshop praktik, (3) evaluasi dan monitoring, serta (4) tahap keberlanjutan. Sebanyak 20 guru PJOK dari wilayah Telukjambe, Klari, dan Cikampek mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek kognitif, psikomotorik, dan afektif. Nilai rata-rata pemahaman guru meningkat dari 51 menjadi 86, dan 80% peserta mampu mempraktikkan minimal tiga variasi gerakan Remix Jump dengan benar. Seluruh peserta juga menghasilkan perangkat ajar berbasis Remix Jump yang kreatif dan aplikatif. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran PJOK serta mendukung implementasi kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi, sekolah, dan pemerintah daerah.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan kegiatan sosialisasi bekerjasama dengan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Singaperbangsa yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam membangun literasi pendidikan jasmani. Dengan adanya sosialisasi website literasi pendidikan jasmani sebagai media belajar dan informasi secara online Universitas Singaperbangsa di rasa sangat tepat sebagai hal yang bermanfaat dan memberikan kontribusi kepada perguruan tinggi. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah adanya peningkatan mahasiswa dalam membaca dan menulis sehingga kemampuan mahasiswa semakin baik dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan hasil tulisannya, kegiatan, dan tugas makalahnya. Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat bertujuan untuk mengembangkan literasi pendidikan jasmani sebagai media belajar dan informasi secara online Universitas Singaperbangsa. Metode sosialisasi yang digunakan terdiri dari sosialisasi teoritis dan praktis yaitu dengan melaksanakan webinar sosialisasi literasi pendidikan jasmani dengan pemateri sesuai dengan bidang keahliannya yang menjelaskan tentang literasi pendidikan jasmani, tata kelola website, dan pembuatan konten-konten website sesuai dengan kajian. Teori-teori literasi pendidikan jasmani akan diberikan secara klasikal dan praktik dengan cara mahasiswa langsung mengelola website untuk disebarluaskan, perbincangan, konseptual atau ide kreatif yang dapat dimuat dalam website literasi pendidikan jasmani ini. Respon fasilitator terhadap penyelenggara pengabdian sosialisasi literasi pendidikan jasmani sangat baik, sehingga fasilitator dapat mengimplementasikan materi yang di dapat pada pengembangan literasi pendidikan jasmani.

Abstract

Low cardiovascular endurance among elementary school students remains a concern in school-based physical education, particularly given limited engagement in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the Remix Jump Program and conventional physical education in improving students' cardiovascular endurance as measured by the Bleep Test. A quantitative quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control-group design was employed, involving 20 fifth-grade students from SDN Pantai Mekar 01, Bekasi Regency, divided into an experimental group (n = 10) and a control group (n = 10). Cardiovascular endurance was assessed using the Bleep Test (Multi-Stage Fitness Test) before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and an independent-samples t-test to compare mean gain scores between groups at the 0.05 significance level. The experimental group improved from a mean score of 6.57 to 10.45 (Δ = +3.88), whereas the control group increased from 6.08 to 7.06 (Δ = +0.21). Inferential analysis indicated a statistically significant difference in mean gain scores between groups (p < 0.05). Based on cardiovascular endurance outcomes measured by the Bleep Test, the Remix Jump Program was associated with greater improvements compared to conventional physical education within the scope of the measured variable. These findings provide preliminary evidence for the contextual application of structured music-based rhythmic exercise in elementary school physical education settings.

Abstract

The low levels of physical activity among elementary school-aged children, resulting from the prevalence of gadget use and the continued reliance on conventional physical education instruction, form the background of this study. The study aims to develop an interactive multimedia-based physical activity model for children aged 10–12 years and to test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, followed by a quasi-experimental test with a non-equivalent control group. The study subjects consisted of 80 students from three schools. The instruments included a validation sheet, a basic motor skills test (TGMD-3), and a motivation questionnaire. Expert validation results showed an average feasibility of 93.19% (highly feasible). The small-scale pilot test yielded 91.5%, and the large-scale pilot test yielded 94% (highly practical). Results of the Independent t-test showed significant differences in improvement between the experimental and control groups in basic motor skills (p=0.000) and motivation (p=0.000). The N-Gain for the experimental group in basic motor skills (0.69, moderate) and motivation (0.73, high) was higher than that of the control group. The conclusion of this study is that the interactive multimedia-based physical activity model (Fun Move) is valid, practical, and effective for improving basic motor skills and physical activity motivation in students aged 10–12 years.
