Abstract

There are many dental nurses with vocational high school or one year diploma degree. The aim of this study was to analyze various factors that influence the decision of dental nurses with a vocational high school or one year diploma degree to continue three years diploma through the RPL program. The sample of this study was 100 dental nurses in the East Java who worked at hospital or primary health care (PUSKESMAS). This was a crosssectional study. We used logistic Regression to analyze the data, first step was characteristic and external factor influence on decision to join RPL, second step was the effect characteristic and external factor influence on decision to join RPL amplified by psychological factors. The results showed that 1) there was an influence of characteristics on dental nurses’ decision 2) There was no influence of external factors on dental nurses’ decision. 3) Psychological factors strengthen the influence of characteristics on dental nurses’ decision and 4) Psychological factors do not strengthen the influence of external factors on dental nurses’ decision. Further research is needed to develop characteristic and psychological among dental nurse to continue three years diploma through RPL. Abstract

Adolescents are one of the age groups that need serious attention. Good or bad adolescent will have an impact on the life of the country in the future. About 4.5% of men and 0.8% of women aged 15-19 years have had premarital sexual intercourse. This study aims to determine premarital sexual behavior of adolescents who attend high school in Malang. The study design used an observational design with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in 2017 with a population of adolescents of high school students from urban and rural areas in Malang. The sample size was 114 students from 2 schools, which were selected by simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through filling in standardized questionnaires that had been used in the IBBS 2011. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences in premarital sexual behavior between high school students in urban and rural areas. The role of the environment is very significant, especially the supervision of parents who can act as a protective factor at the beginning of adolescent premarital sexual behavior. Abstract

Obesity is a global epidemic, it was health issues that must be addressed immediately. There was a very significant increase in the prevalence of overweight and obesity of adolescents. Several studies showed that social support related to eating disorders and physical activity of adolescents causes of overweight and obesity. Other study showed that personality contributes to health outcomes and it was associated with a controllable risk factor such as obesity. The aim of the study was to measure the relationship of personality type, fatty food consumption, and physical activity level to overweight and obesity among adolescents. We used a case-control design with 270 subjects. Case population was vocational or senior high school students with overweight or obesity and the control population was vocational or high school students without overweight or obesity. Data analysis used chi-square test with 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) and Odds Ratio (OR). The results showed that there was no significant relationship between personality type and overweight or obesity (p> 0.05). There was a significant relationship between the consumption of fatty foods (p = 0.001), the level of physical activity (p = 0.040) and overweight or obesity among adolescents. Abstract

Civilized behavior is a behavior that is acceptable to people in Indonesia, less civilized sexual behavior is a behavior that is deemed not in accordance with the behavior of the community, especially in shelter communities in the district of Jember. The phenomenon of psychological dynamism of sexual behavior that is considered Uncivilized in adolescents is interesting to study because homosexual behavior has not been accepted by shelter people who tend to still hold high religious values. This study focused to discribe psychologycal dinamycs in adolescent sexual behavior from those considered civilized to uncivilized from those who did not act homosexually to homosexuals. Researcher using a qualitative method with Miles Huberman analysis to describe, conclude and presenting data.
