Abstract

Adolescent girls are a group that is vulnerable to nutritional deficiency problems. Nutrients in the blood can be determined through hemoglobin levels. Foods that are high in vitamin C and vitamin A are fruits and vegetables. In addition to vitamins, fruits and vegetables also contain fiber, folic acid, and various minerals. Sufficient recommendations for fruit and vegetable consumption according to the Balanced Nutrition Guidelines (2014) for toddlers, pre-school age (5-6 years) and school-age children (6-12 years) are 300-400 grams per day. Based on the initial survey conducted on students of TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan, Paron Ngawi, which was conducted by interview, there were 8 out of 11 students who did not understand about nutritional problems in adolescents. The target community service activities are students of TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan, Paron Ngawi. The location of this community service implementation is at TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan Paron Ngawi. Time of activity, the implementation of community service activities will be carried out in September 2023, with the aim of community service activities is to provide or add to the education of young women TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan Paron Ngawi about consuming fruit and vegetables and nutritional problems in adolescents. When the pre-test and post-test were carried out regarding the knowledge of young women at TPA Al Muttaqin Jegolan Paron Ngawi before counseling was carried out about anemia, most of them had less knowledge as many as 19 people, 5 people had sufficient knowledge and 6 people had good knowledge, while the level of knowledge after counseling experienced an increase, namely respondents with a good level of knowledge as many as 20 people, enough knowledge as many as 7 people and less knowledge as many as 3 people

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan remaja, sikap remaja, dan kepatuhan mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah terhadap kejadian anemia remaja putri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan desain case control yang dilakukan di SMK Kesehatan Bina Karya Medika Ponorogo. Teknik sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 108 remaja putri berusia dari 15-19 tahun. Pengukuran pengetahuan, sikap dan kepatuhan menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran hemoglobin mengunakan easy touch GCHb. Analisis data secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Chi Square. Pengetahuan remaja yang kurang mempunyai risiko 3,42 kali lebih besar, tidak patuh mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah berisiko 3,4 kali lebih besar, dan sikap negatif mempunyai risiko 1,7 kali lebih besar mengalami anemia. Terdapat hubungan signifikan pengetahuan remaja (p= 0,004), kepatuhan mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah (p=0,004) terhadap kejadian anemia. Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan sikap remaja dengan kejadian anemia remaja putri walaupun memiliki resiko tinggi anemia (p= 0,229). Pengetahuan remaja tentang anemia dan kepatuhan mengonsumsi tablet tambah darah terbukti signifikan dan merupakan faktor risiko anemia.

Abstract

Background: The food consumption of the Indonesian population in general does not fulfill pillar of the first balanced nutrition message. As much as 12,52% of adolescents in Indonesia have food consumption patterns with poor variety, poor proportions and poor adequacy.  Nutrition and health problems in adult occur in every individual, including young adults who live in Islamic boarding schools. Food pattern was influenced by several things, including physical activity, stress level and eating habits and knowledge.of the article. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between stress levels, physical activity and knowledge of balanced nutrition with the eating habits ini adolescent.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. This study was conduct in one of University based on pesantren in East Java in october 2022 until March 2023. The sample in this study aged 18-24 years were selected using propotinal random sampling technique with a total of 105 subjects who were calculated using the slovin formula. Data collection included interviews by filling out the SQ-FFQ questionnaire for eating patterns, DASS-42 for stress levels, IPAQ for physical activity and a questionnaire for knowledge of balanced nutrition. Data were analyzed using SPSS with Fisher's test with CI 95%.Results: There was a significant relationship between stress levels and eating habbit (p-value 0,039). Meanwhile, physical activity (p-value = 0,260 ) and knowledge of balanced nutrition (p-value = 0,165) thatdid not have a significant relationship with eating habbit  in adolescent (P>0,05).Conclusion: Stress levels had a significant relationship with eating patterns in female students. There was no relationship between physical activity and knowledge of balanced nutrition with eating patterns in female students.Keywords Eating habbits, Physical activity, Knowledge of nutrition balance, stress level, student

Abstract

Rumah sakit merupakan pelayanan kesehatan yang memberikan layanan komprehensif, dikelompokkan menjadi rumah sakit pemerintah dan swasta dengan salah satu layanan pendukung medis yaitu pelayanan gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kepuasan pelayanan makanan, sisa makanan dan sosial ekonomi pasien di rumah sakit pemerintah dan swasta. Penelitian menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional, dilakukan di RSUD Ir. Soekarno Kabupaten Sukoharjo dan RSU Islam Klaten pada Bulan Oktober-November tahun 2024. Sampel penelitian dihitung menggunakan rumus Lemeshow dengan total 64 responden, berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan kriteria eksklusi yang ditetapkan. Instrumen penelitian mencakup kuesioner kepuasan pelayanan makanan (waktu makan, penampilan, rasa, kebersihan, keramahan pramusaji, dan variasi makanan), taksiran comstock, serta kuesioner sosial ekonomi (Pendidikan, pekerjaan dan pendapatan). Hasil penelitian dengan Uji Mann-Whitney menunjukan bahwa indikator kepuasan pelayanan makanan seperti waktu makan (p=0,387), penampilan (p=0,736), rasa (p=0,302), keramahan pramusaji (p=0,231), kebersihan alat dan makanan (p=0,378), variasi makanan (p=0,770), serta sisa makanan (p=0,081), tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p>0,05). Uji Chi-Square terhadap status pendidikan (p=1,000), pekerjaan (p=0,446), dan pendapatan (p=0,317) juga menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan. Kesimpulan, tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kepuasan pelayanan makanan, sisa makanan, dan sosial ekonomi pasien di rumah sakit pemerintah dan swasta.

Abstract

The lack of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia is caused by a lack of media that can open up public knowledge about the importance of this. As the industrial era 4.0 progresses, many digital media have emerged as a means to educate the public about preventing iron deficiency anemia, one of which is health promotion media in the form of video media Instagram Reels and TikTok. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Instagram Reels and TikTok educational media on knowledge about preventing iron deficiency anemia in adolescent girls. The research used quasi experiment method with a pre-posttest group design. The sample amounted to 105 respondents (Instagram Reels n:35, TikTok n:35, and leaflet n:35. Knowledge data were obtained by filling out pre and posttest questionnaires, processed using the Wilcoxon test. The mean difference between the three groups used Kruskal-Wallis and Post Hoc Mann Whitney tests. The effectiveness of the three media was tested using the N-Gain Score. The results of the pre and post-test research on the three media had p-value 0.000 which shows an increase in knowledge. The frequency distribution of knowledge in the TikTok group was 100%, Instagram Reels 94.3% and leaflets 51.4%. The effectiveness test of the N-Gain score of TikTok media is 81% including it in the effective category, Instagram Reels is 60% including in the moderately effective category and leaflets are 28% including in the ineffective category. The conclusion is that TikTok media is most effective compared to Instagram Reels media and leaflets.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini memberikan edukasi berupa seringnya terjadi penyalahgunaan obat yang seringkali terjadi dilingkungan masyarakat umum. Pendekatan eduktif untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan obat di Dusun Ngrancang dilakukan dengan cara penyuluhan materi kesehatan tentang DAGUSIBU. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk menekankan pentingnya tata cara dalam mendapatkan, menggunakan, menyimpan, dan membuang obat dengan baik dan benar, hal ini dapat diwakili oleh istilah “DAGUSIBU”. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa one group pre-test and post-test yang menilai tingkat pengetahuan ibu-ibu pengajian mengenai materi DAGUSIBU. Media edukasi yang digunakan berupa leaflet. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait manajemen obat yang baik dan benar. Intervensi ini menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan berbasis kelompok dapat secara efektif meningkatkan literasi kesehatan khususnya dalam penyalahgunaan obat.

Abstract

Various factors such as socioeconomic conditions, dietary patterns, and exclusive breastfeeding practices contribute to the incidence of undernutrition among toddlers. A preliminary study in Merak Village recorded that approximately 21.5% of toddlers were affected by undernutrition. This study aims to explore the association between socioeconomic status, dietary patterns, and exclusive breastfeeding practices with the incidence of undernutrition among toddlers in Merak Village. A case-control design was employed, involving 50 respondents in each group, selected through purposive sampling. The sample size was determined using the Lemeshow formula. Undernutrition served as the dependent variable and was assessed based on the weight-for-age (W/A) index. sosioeconomi and exclusive breastfeeding variables using questionnaires and eating pattern using SQ-FFQ questionnaires. The data were statistically analyzed through the chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression model. The findings demonstrated significant associations between undernutrition and several variables, including family income (p = 0.012; OR = 0.316), meal frequency (p < 0.001; OR = 11.156), quantity of food intake (p < 0.001; OR = 24.571), and exclusive breastfeeding (p < 0.001; OR = 0.141). In contrast, maternal education (p = 0.288; OR = 0.566), paternal occupation (p = 0.691; OR = 1.000), and maternal occupation (p = 0.161; OR = 1.909) did not exhibit statistically significant relationships with undernutrition. Multivariate analysis further revealed that meal frequency, the amount of food intake, and exclusive breastfeeding were influential determinants of undernutrition among toddlers. Among these, exclusive breastfeeding emerged as the most dominant factor. Overall, family income, dietary practices, and breastfeeding status were identified as key risk factors contributing to undernutrition in early childhood.

Abstract

Background: Iron deficiency is a common health issue among adolescent girls, mainly due to poor eating habits and inadequate sleep. The prevalence of anemia in this group remains high, ranging from 40% to 88%. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the relationship between nutritional intake, diet quality, and sleep quality with hemoglobin levels among adolescent girls. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 80 adolescent girls aged 15–19 years, selected from a population of approximately 230 adolescent girls in Ponorogo. Hemoglobin levels were measured using the Easy Touch GCHB instrument via capillary blood sampling. Sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Nutritional intake was evaluated using the Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), and diet quality was measured with the Diet Quality Index (DQI). Multinomial logistic regression analyzed the relationships between nutritional intake, sleep quality, and hemoglobin levels. Results: The study found that 50% of participants had normal hemoglobin levels, 42.5% had mild anemia, and 7.5% had moderate anemia. The mean hemoglobin level was 13.8, the average diet quality score was 57.47, and the mean sleep quality score was 7.33. Poor nutritional intake increased the risk of mild anemia by 20.32 times (OR=20.320, 95%CI=3.12-41.55, p-value=0.004). Moderate sleep quality increased the risk of mild anemia by 22.93 times (OR=22.932, 95%CI=2.91-182.55, p-value=0.013). Conclusions: Interventions to improve nutritional intake and sleep quality are essential for adolescent girls, as these factors are strongly associated with iron deficiency in this group.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah menjadi upaya menurunkan factor resiko terjadinya penyakit kardiovaskuler di desa Sambirejo. Mitra dari kegiatan ini adalah kelompok ibu-ibu yasinan di desa Sambirejo, Mantingan, Ngawi, Jawa Timur sebanyak 28 orang. Kegiatan berupa (1) penyuluhan; (2) pemeriksaan kadar glukosa, kolesterol dan tekanan darah; (3) membuat buku saku penyakit kardiovaskuler; (4) pengadaan dan pelatihan alat pengukuran kadar glukosa, kolesterol dan tekanan darah kepada kader posyandu sebanyak 30 orang. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pengetahuan mitra mengenai penyakit kardiovaskuler meningkat dari <50% meningkat menjadi >80%; (2) kadar glukosa, kolesterol dan tekanan darah mitra terdeteksi dini sehingga dapat dilakukan langkah lebih lanjut; (3) mitra mendapatkan buku dan dapat melakukan konsultasi dengan tenaga kesehatan dari bidang farmasi dan gizi; (4) mitra mendapatkan tambahan alat pengukur kadar glukosa, kolesterol dan tekanan darah serta meningkatnya keterampilan menggunakan alat tersebut.

Abstract

Pencegahan stunting merupakan salah satu tantangan besar dalam kesehatan masyarakat, terutama di wilayah Puskesmas Padas, Ngawi. Stunting dapat berdampak buruk pada tumbuh kembang anak dan kualitas sumber daya manusia di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan intervensi pengabdian masyarakat yang fokus pada edukasi gizi melalui media audiovisual serta demo masak bergizi berbahan pangan lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data melalui pre-test dan post-test, wawancara, serta kegiatan edukasi yang dilakukan secara daring dan tatap muka di posyandu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas ibu balita di wilayah ini memiliki pengetahuan rendah mengenai pola pemberian makan yang tepat dan pentingnya ASI eksklusif. Program edukasi yang dilakukan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu mengenai pola makan sehat dan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Selain itu, kegiatan demo masak juga berhasil memperkenalkan cara mengolah bahan pangan lokal menjadi makanan bergizi. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan edukatif berbasis audiovisual dan praktik masak memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang gizi dan pencegahan stunting, serta dapat diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di komunitas.
