Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi Vihara Avalokitesvara di Pamekasan, Madura, sebagai sumber pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika. Vihara ini, selain menjadi simbol toleransi antar umat beragama, mengandung berbagai elemen budaya yang terkait dengan konsep matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas etnomatematika pada Vihara Avalokitesvara di Desa Candi, Pamekasan, sebagai upaya meningkatkan jiwa berkebhinekaan global pada siswa SD; dan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai matematika yang terdapat pada Vihara Avalokitesvara untuk mendukung jiwa berkebhinekaan global siswa SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa objek budaya seperti Vihara Avalokitesvara dapat menjadi konteks pembelajaran matematika yang relevan dan bermakna, meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep matematika. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur geometris pada vihara, seperti bangun datar (persegi panjang, persegi, segitiga, trapesium, lingkaran, dan setengah lingkaran) dan bangun ruang (balok, kerucut, tabung). Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memperkaya pembelajaran matematika, tetapi juga memperkuat nilai-nilai kebhinekaan global, toleransi, dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman budaya. Guru diharapkan dapat memanfaatkan elemen budaya lokal untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif, kontekstual, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical representation ability of class XI MA Sumber Payung students in understanding the concepts of arithmetic sequences and series. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results obtained by students with high math skills in understanding the concepts of arithmetic sequences and series are in the form of representations of mathematical equations/expressions, where students can create mathematical equations or models from other representations given, solve problems involving mathematical expressions and representations of words/written texts. Students can write down what is known and asked in a data or information, so that in answering questions using words or written text. Abstract

Profile of students' mathematical representation in solving trigonometric problems based on mathematics ability. Objectives: This study aims to determine and describe students' mathematical representational abilities in solving trigonometric problems based on mathematical abilities. Methods: This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach, in this study 3 subjects were selected from 36 students. Data was collected through tests and interviews. Findings: Students with high math skills are good at using visual representations and quite good at using equation representations or mathematical expressions. Students with moderate mathematical ability are quite good at using visual representations and representations of mathematical equations or expressions. Students with low mathematical ability are quite good at using visual representations but are still not good at using representations of mathematical equations or expressions. Conclusion: The three research subjects only involved visual representations and mathematical equations or expressions, but did not involve representations of words or written text in solving problems. Keywords: mathematical representation, problem solving, and mathematical ability.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202227

Abstract

Kompetensi Guru menjadi salah satu aspek yang dapat mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran di kelas. Pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi guru juga terlihat dalam instrumen Akreditasi Satuan Pendidikan 2020 (IASP 2020) yang mana kompetensi guru menjadi salah satu aspek dari 4 aspek penilaian dalam akreditasi sekolah. Berdasarkan informasi dari kepala sekolah di kecamatan Galis Bangkalan belum pernah terlibat dalam kegiatan pendampingan Lesson Study (LS), namun demikian kepala sekolah sangat antusias dan mendukung pelaksanaan pendampingan LS di kecamatan Galis Bangkalan. LS merupakan salah satu strategi pembinaan profesi guru berkelanjutan berbasis kelas & kolaboratif untuk mengoptimalkan layanan belajar bagi siswa. Pelaksanaan LS dilakukan melalui 3 tahapan yaitu, plan atau perencanaan kegiatan pembelajaran, do atau pelaksanaan perencanaan tersebut oleh guru model, tahapan selanjutnya adalah see atau merefleksi proses pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah dengan metode diskusi, workshop dan pelatihan. Analisis data dilakukan pada hasil angket yang diberikan kepada peserta workshop. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah (1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru terkait miskonsepsi dan bagaimana mengatasinya; (2) meningkatnya pemahaman guru tentang LS dan, (3) meningkatkan keterampilan dan kompetensi guru dalam planing (merencanakan), implementing (melaksanakan), dan evaluating (penilaian) pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan penalaran matematis siswa SMA melalui pengamatan gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas XI SMAN 1 Sampang. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara memberikan angket gaya belajar dan tes penalaran matematis yang memuat indikator sense-making, conjecturing, convincing, reflecting, serta generalizing; dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan proses wawancara. Kemudian, hasil tes dianalisis dan divalidasi dengan metode triangulasi waktu. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah siswa dengan gaya belajar visual memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis. Siswa dengan gaya belajar auditori memenuhi 4 indikator penalaran matematis, yaitu sense-making, conjecturing, convincing, dan generalizing. Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik hanya memenuhi 2 indikator, yaitu sense-making, dan conjecturing. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya belajar visual memiliki penalaran matematika yang lebih baik daripada siswa dengan gaya belajar auditori dan kinestetik.

Abstract

Pembuatan website Desa Pademawu Barat oleh mahasiswa KKN 20 Universitas Madura merupakan langkah strategis untuk membawa desa menuju era digital. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, mulai dari observasi kebutuhan desa, pengumpulan data dan dokumentasi, perancangan dan pembuatan website, pengisian konten awal, hingga uji coba, sosialisasi, dan pengenalan kepada perangkat desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa website desa dapat berfungsi sebagai sarana penyebaran informasi yang lebih cepat, transparan, dan mudah diakses. Selain itu, website juga menjadi media promosi potensi ekonomi, wisata, dan budaya yang dimiliki desa, sekaligus memperkuat identitas Desa Pademawu Barat. Dengan adanya website ini, desa diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik serta membuka peluang pembangunan yang lebih luas di masa depan.

Abstract

The teacher's self-regulation in solving problems with contradictory information needs to be investigated because this certainly has an impact on students' self-regulation abilities. However, research related to this is still limited. Problem with Contradiction Information (PWCI) is appropriate to view self-regulation. This research is a case study which involved teachers in East Java, Indonesia and already have an educator certificate. There are 24 teachers as participants of this research, 14 females and 10 males. The objectives of this study describe how the teacher's response when completing PWCI and how the teacher's self-regulation when solving PWCI. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The results show that (1) There are two types of teacher responses in completing PWCI, the first type is the teacher who answers the questions directly without checking the provided information, the second type is the teacher who is thorough and cross-checks before working on the questions, (2) The emergence of self-assessment teacher regulation when completing PWCI is divided into four, namely, teacher self-regulation appears at the stage of understanding, implementing, re-checking and does not appear when completing PWCI. Most of the teachers are not aware of the contradictions in the questions given.

Abstract

This research examines whether the multiplication abilities of third-grade students in Pamekasan improve before, during, and after using JAMED media for mathematics instruction. The study aims to assess the students' multiplication skills across these three stages, analyzing any observed improvements. The research employs a single subject experimental method with an A-B-A design, using action tests for data collection. The subject is a third-grade student with the initials AW. Findings show that the student’s multiplication ability was very low in the initial baseline (A1), improved to a sufficient level during the intervention (B), and reached a high level in the final baseline (A2). This indicates a significant positive impact of JAMED media on the student's multiplication skills.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) aimed to enhance teachers’ pedagogical and professional competencies through training on the development of creative and innovative learning media based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) by utilizing GeoGebra at MI Islamiyah Sumur Putih, Pamekasan. The program was conducted in response to teachers’ needs for learning media that are not merely conventional, but capable of fostering active student engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in line with the demands of 21st-century learning. The implementation method employed a training and workshop approach consisting of needs analysis and observation, delivery of materials on PBL concepts and the use of GeoGebra as an interactive learning medium, hands-on practice in designing PBL-based learning media, presentation of the developed products, and joint reflection and evaluation. The results indicated an improvement in teachers’ understanding of PBL implementation as well as practical skills in designing and applying GeoGebra-based learning media that are creative, innovative, and contextual. The interactive and participatory nature of the activities also encouraged a shift in learning paradigms from teacher-centered to student-centered approaches. The program received positive responses from the partner school and is expected to have a sustainable impact on improving the quality of teaching and learning processes in the madrasah.
