Abstract

This study analyzes the raw material inventory control of wood at PT Suryamas Lestariprima using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to achieve inventory cost efficiency. The results show that the EOQ calculation produces an optimal order quantity of 19.8772 m³ for durian wood, 18.8571 m³ for rambung wood, and 14.0553 m³ for miscellaneous wood, designed to minimize the company’s inventory costs. Additionally, the determination of safety stock at 14.954,5081 m³ for durian wood, 17.101,8334 m³ for rambung wood, and 384,7911 m³ for miscellaneous wood helps the company handle potential demand fluctuations during the lead time. This study also establishes the reorder point as the minimum threshold before reordering, namely 15.038,4718 m³ for durian wood, 17.230,6429 m³ for rambung wood, and 404.1126 m³ for miscellaneous wood. The application of the EOQ method results in inventory cost savings of IDR 5,409,005,289 for durian wood, IDR 2,888,543,167 for rambung wood, and IDR 1,506,367,701 for miscellaneous wood. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the company consider implementing EOQ as a standard in managing inventory to maintain operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of customer satisfaction for the Roket Indonesia application. Using the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) methods, this study measures service quality and identifies priority areas for improvement. Data was collected from 133 application users, with a sample of 100 people, and analyzed using SPSS. The results show that all 12 items tested meet the criteria for validity and reliability. The GAP analysis shows that four out of 12 attributes perform beyond expectations, while the other eight attributes need to be improved. However, the overall customer satisfaction level reached 77.78%, indicating that in general, customers are satisfied with the service provided. Based on the analysis, several areas that need to be improved are consistency in delivery, ability to resolve delivery issues, and guarantee of replacement goods if goods are damaged or lost during delivery. Improvement proposals include conducting regular audits, enhancing delivery staff training, forming a special team for resolving delivery issues, implementing an efficient and responsive complaint management system, and providing a clear and transparent goods replacement policy. This research provides valuable insights for PT. TIKI Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir Tomang in their efforts to continuously meet and exceed customer expectations. Furthermore, the results of this study can be used as a basis for improving services and business strategies in the future.

Abstract

In this study, the main problem encountered is the calculation to determine the actual operating costs in knowing the profit or deficit experienced by Bank Sampah Eswka is still not available. The ABC method is used to identify costs based on transportation operational activities for waste collection from Bank Sampah Unit (BSU) towards Bank Sampah Induk (BSI). The results showed significant efficiency in the calculation of operational costs with a difference in internal costs with a contract value in the range of IDR 993 to IDR 8,220. Thus, the use of the ABC method helps Bank Sampah Eswka to recognize the achievement of a high level of operational efficiency, which allows them to manage waste distribution and processing at a lower cost compared to contractors. This shows that the existing internal system is effective and efficient.

Abstract

There are problems related to warehouse capacity not being used optimally at PT Bosowa Berlian Motor. This can affect the storage process carried out. Therefore, this research aims to minimize the total distance traveled and total travel time by warehouse employees in carrying out their duties. The data used in this research was obtained from data on incoming and outgoing goods over a 3-months period, namely from July 2023 to September 2023. The existing layout used by PT Bosowa Berlian Motor for storage activities within a period of 3 months selected 34 products that had a frequency biggest. The Dedicated Storage method in this research is used to determine the position of goods stored based on the frequency, distance and capacity of the warehouse used by PT Bosowa Berlian Motor. There are 2 basic classifications of goods stored in warehouses with a total distance traveled under existing conditions, namely 128580m and 56860m. Based on the results of data processing, it was found that the total distance traveled between the proposed layout and the existing layout for KTB products was 77% and for MMKSI products was 8%. Therefore, the proposed layout for PT Bosowa Berlian Motor is good to implement considering the significant increase in efficiency proportions.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a transportation equipment manufacturing company that must always maintain that the products it produces can achieve sales targets. However, in carrying out the production process, PT XYZ often experiences shortages in the production process, one of which is due to problems in the welding frame body department.  Thus, the objectives of this research are to determine the flow of the production process in the welding frame body department, then analyze the waste that occurs in the body parts of the welding frame. This frame body welding department has a production process flow starting from St. Rear Frame 1 to St. Rear Frame 4, then St. Front Frame 1 to St. Front Frame 3, after that St. General Assy, Permanent Robot/Robot Handling, Fine Boring, Manual 1 and Manual 2, and ending in Tapping and Numbering. Based on the flow of the production process, it was found that St. Rear Frame 3 is the most problematic with a percentage of 21%. By using the DMAIC method, in the Define stage, it was found that the most common problem that occurred in St. Rear Frame 3 was a torn pipe in lower jig B with a percentage of 6%. At the Define stage, it is also known that the root cause of the problem is the lack of accuracy from the operator, who may be sleepy at work due to lack of rest, or even chatting, which results in setting teaching too far because it is more dominant to the lower, not to the iron connection between the lower and the subframe. Then, at the measurement stage, the target is to reduce 6% of the problems to 4%. Furthermore, at the analysis stage, an analysis is carried out to determine if the potential problem occurs and then what next steps will be conducted which is useful for minimizing waste. At the Improve and Control stage, namely, the steps taken to minimize the problem or waste (preventive actions) and what steps or ways to do if the problem or waste occurs again (contingent actions).

Abstract

Hospitals are vital for healthcare and must continually enhance service quality to boost patient satisfaction. Lengthy outpatient service times, particularly during peak demand, can detrimentally affect service quality. This study investigates the application of queuing theory to the registration service facilities at PKK Hospital. The goal is to identify an appropriate queuing model to describe the outpatient registration counters' conditions and assess the model's performance. The research employs a quantitative approach, using data from observations and literature review, with purposive sampling. The study concludes that the Multiple Channel – Single Phase queuing model is most suitable for describing the outpatient registration counters at PKK Hospital. According to the findings, this queuing model offers optimal performance, with an average service time of 4.076 minutes per patient and a corresponding waiting time of approximately 3-8 minutes.

Abstract

Indonesia, a nation with the highest number of Muslims, ranks second globally in terms of the consumption of halal cosmetics, following India. There is a growing worry about halal items. This study will examine the impact of halal awareness on intention to purchase skincare products. This study uses a Structural Equation Modelling technique using SMART PLS tools to analyze the factors driving purchase interest. These components include Religious beliefs, Self-identity, Halal Certification, and Halal Knowledge. The data collection in this study was conducted using a questionnaire, employing random sampling techniques to gather 57 samples. The findings of this study indicate that religion and self-identity do not substantially impact halal awareness. Conversely, the certification and understanding of halal practices substantially impact the awareness of halal products, including religious beliefs, self-identity, halal certification, and halal knowledge, which in turn has a major influence on the intention to acquire such products.
