Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bentuk kerja sama antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran anak serta pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan dan pengembangan karakter peserta didik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi partisipatif terhadap enam narasumber, yang terdiri dari guru, orang tua siswa, tokoh masyarakat, dan ketua komite sekolah. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kolaborasi tersebut terwujud melalui komunikasi yang intens, partisipasi aktif keluarga dan masyarakat dalam berbagai aktivitas sekolah, serta dukungan sosial dan material yang memperkuat proses pembelajaran. Dampak dari kolaborasi ini mencakup peningkatan motivasi belajar, pembentukan karakter positif, kesejahteraan emosional siswa, keterlibatan aktif orang tua, serta kontribusi masyarakat dalam penyediaan sarana pendidikan. Nilai-nilai budaya lokal seperti gotong royong dan sikap saling menghormati (siri’ na pacce) turut memperkuat sinergi antar pihak, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang harmonis dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi kolaborasi dan nilai budaya lokal dalam mendukung pendidikan anak yang bermutu dan berkarakter.This study aims to explore the forms of cooperation between schools, families, and communities in supporting the learning process of children and its influence on improving the quality of education and developing students' character. The approach used is qualitative, with data collection conducted through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation of six resource persons, comprising teachers, parents, community leaders, and the head of the school committee. The research findings reveal that collaboration is realized through intense communication, active participation of families and communities in various school activities, and social and material support that strengthens the learning process. The impact of this collaboration includes increased learning motivation, positive character development, improved students' emotional well-being, active parental involvement, and community contributions to the provision of educational facilities. Local cultural values such as gotong royong and mutual respect (sir na pace) also strengthen the synergy between parties, creating a harmonious and sustainable learning environment. This research confirms the importance of integrating collaboration and local cultural values in supporting the development of quality and character education in children.

Abstract

Abstract

Aggressive behavior among junior high school students is a critical issue that negatively impacts students' social-emotional development and the learning environment at school. This article critically examines the relationship between parenting styles and adolescent aggressive behavior, highlighting the role of self-control as a mediating variable. Through a qualitative literature review of 35 relevant studies from the fields of psychology, education, and family sociology, this article finds that authoritarian and permissive parenting styles are positively correlated with aggressive tendencies. In contrast, authoritative parenting tends to protect children from deviant behavior. On the other hand, self-control was found to play a significant role in mitigating the negative influence of parenting on adolescent aggression, mainly when supported by the presence of an authoritative figure, a supportive social environment, and appropriate educational interventions. These findings underscore the significance of self-control as a mediator between parenting and aggressive behavioral responses in adolescents.

Abstract

Learning local history at the primary school level plays a crucial role in shaping students' identity, character, and cultural awareness from an early age. Through stories from the surrounding environment, students have the opportunity to recognize local wisdom values and understand social dynamics that are close to their lives. Unfortunately, history learning in schools is still primarily delivered conventionally - text-based and memorized - which often makes students less interested and not actively involved. This research aims to examine the potential of Augmented Reality (AR) technology in reviving local history learning to make it more meaningful and enjoyable for students. The research employed a literature study method and a qualitative descriptive approach, analyzing 25 sources of scientific literature published between 2006 and 2025 through content analysis techniques. The research shows that AR technology can present historical material visually, interactively, and contextually, thereby strengthening students' cognitive understanding while fostering emotional involvement in the learning process. However, the effectiveness of AR is strongly influenced by the readiness of teachers in techno-pedagogical aspects, the growing digital culture in schools, and the availability of adequate supporting infrastructure.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase students' confidence and train their soft skills, namely public speaking. Through this PKM, it is hoped that it can be useful for students of SMPN 33 Makassar. The stages in this training are explaining materials that are closely related to public speaking, besides that the speaker will also explain the importance of communication in building relationships, and make students feel more confident. Public speaking does not only help students in increasing their self-confidence or just training soft skills but with the public speaking training conducted will help students improve their communication skills that can be used in forming relationships or communication networks, even expected in this training will also help the school to find talents that exist in students in the field of public speaking such as presenters or Master Of Ceremony (MC).

Abstract

Preparing school work plans is an important part of effective educational management. The aim of this training is to increase participants' understanding and skills in preparing work plans that focus on goals and measurable results. The training participants consisted of school principals, teachers and school committee members from Polman Regency, West Sulawesi. Training is carried out by identifying potential obstacles in developing work plans, including differences in knowledge levels, limited resources, and collaboration challenges between related parties. Through a participatory and interactive approach, participants are invited to engage in discussions, case studies and practical exercises to overcome these obstacles. The impact of this training is increasing participants' understanding of the importance of work plans as a strategic tool in educational management, as well as mastering practical skills in developing comprehensive and measurable work plans. Collaboration among participants is also enhanced to ensure active participation and shared responsibility in implementing the work plan. It is hoped that this training will have a positive impact on improving the quality of education and performance of schools/madrasahs in Polman Regency. The experiences and lessons learned from this training can also become the basis for developing similar activities in the future

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, antropologi sosial digunakan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana undang-undang perlindungan anak diterapkan dalam institusi pendidikan formal. Pendidikan formal dan perlindungan anak adalah dua komponen penting dalam perkembangan anak-anak. Meskipun telah ada usaha untuk melindungi anak-anak di pendidikan formal, pemahaman kita tentang bagaimana hukum perlindungan anak diterapkan dan bagaimana perubahan budaya dan sosial memengaruhi proses ini masih terbatas. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana hukum perlindungan anak diterapkan di beberapa lembaga pendidikan formal. Proses pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi partisipatif, wawancara dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan, dan analisis dokumen tingkat lembaga terkait kebijakan dan praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang kesulitan penerapan hukum perlindungan anak dalam pendidikan formal. Analisis antropologi sosial akan digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya, norma, dan struktur sosial mempengaruhi penerapan hukum tersebut. Studi ini juga akan mempelajari bagaimana penerapan hukum perlindungan anak berdampak pada pengalaman pendidikan anak-anak, baik dari segi psikologis maupun sosial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kesulitan dan peluang dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan formal yang aman, inklusif, dan mendukung untuk perkembangan optimal anak-anak. Dengan menggabungkan elemen hukum, pendidikan, dan antropologi sosial, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap perbaikan kebijakan, praktik pendidikan, dan perlindungan hak anak di lingkungan pendidikan formal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pentingnya keterlibatan orang tua dalam proses pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengeksplorasi dampak signifikan keterlibatan orang tua dalam proses pendidikan; delapan informan terdiri dari empat siswa SMA, dua orang tua siswa, dan dua guru. Informan mewakili berbagai tahap kehidupan, berkisar antara 18 dan 55 tahun. Melalui wawancara yang menyeluruh, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap keinginan siswa untuk belajar, memperkuat hubungan siswa-guru, dan membuat lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung perkembangan secara keseluruhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memainkan peran penting dalam mendorong kesuksesan akademik dan perkembangan sosial di sekolah menengah atas. Penemuan ini memberikan dasar untuk membuat kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan yang lebih baik serta menekankan pentingnya keterlibatan orang tua sebagai elemen kunci dalam memahami dan meningkatkan sistem pendidikan.

Abstract

This article reviews how students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Makassar State University, class of 2021 interpret the concept of beauty. This study arises because the author wants to understand how the meaning of beauty among students, considering that the author's findings from initial observations indicate variations in perception in understanding the concept of beauty. This difference tends to be related to appearance, so students try to look attractive by using makeup when going to campus. This shows that the concept of beauty has become a necessity that seeks social recognition, appreciation, and self-achievement among students. This research uses Alfred Schutz's Phenomenological theory in a qualitative research approach with a phenomenological type of study. The results showed that each student has a different perception of beauty in their appearance when on campus. They tend to focus more on objective aspects of understanding beauty, such as white skin, attractive appearance, face, attitude, and behavior, rather than subjective aspects related to the heart, soul, and positive thinking. Students who want to look beautiful tend to assume that by putting on makeup and following beauty trends, they will be more accepted in their social environment.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan bercerita siswa SDN 82 Pattene melalui aktivitas mendongeng. Dengan demikian, mendongeng terbukti efektif sebagai metode pembelajaran kreatif yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara dan membangun budaya literasilingkungan sekolah. Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan mendongeng interaktif yang melibatkan penjelasan teknik mendongeng, demonstrasi oleh pendongeng profesional, dan praktik langsung oleh siswa secara berkelompok. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 September 2025 dengan narasumber utama Kak Chairunnisa Latief, S.Pd (Kak Nisa), pendiri Kampung Dongeng Mardhati Makassar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keberanian, ekspresi, dan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, komunikatif, serta memiliki minat yang lebih tinggi terhadap kegiatan literasi. Program ini juga mendorong lahirnya gerakan “Satu Hari Satu Cerita” sebagai bentuk keberlanjutan di sekolah. Dengan demikian, mendongeng terbukti efektif sebagai metode pembelajaran kreatif yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara dan membangun budaya literasi di sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: Mendongeng; Kemampuan Berbicara;  Bercerita; Literasi Anak
