Abstract

This study explores how office managers contribute to maintaining employees’ work-life balance to help sustain their performance. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings highlight that office managers play a key role in fostering a work environment that supports both mental well-being and productivity. Theoretically, this research supports the perspective within human resource management that work-life balance is a critical factor in employee performance. On a practical level, the insights from this study can inform organizations in designing flexible work policies, managing workloads more effectively, and enhancing managerial support. What sets this study apart is its focus on the role of office managers, an area often overlooked compared to that of senior management in bridging professional demands with employees’ personal needs. By doing so, it contributes to a contextual understanding of how middle management can help promote employee well-being in today’s evolving workplace.

Abstract

Administrative facilities and infrastructure play a vital role in supporting the smooth academic process in higher education institutions. This study aims to compare the completeness of administrative facilities and infrastructure between two departments within the same institution. A comparative method was used through direct observation of the physical conditions in both departments. The results show that Department A meets 93% of the facility indicators, while Department B meets 83%. Department A is equipped with tools such as a fax machine, microwave, and perforator, whereas Department B only has a coffee machine. In terms of infrastructure, Department A meets all indicators (100%), including restroom availability, while Department B meets 88% due to the absence of a restroom. The administrative room in Department A is more crowded and less organized because it manages seven study programs, unlike Department B, which manages only two and appears tidier. Both departments face issues with lighting and air circulation due to constantly closed windows, despite having air conditioning. This study recommends improving spatial management in Department A and adding restroom facilities in Department B. Enhancing natural lighting and ventilation is also advised to improve staff comfort and well-being. The findings highlight the existing gap in facilities between departments and serve as a valuable reference for management in planning equitable and efficient facility development in the future.

Abstract

This study is important because understanding the work preferences of Generation Z is crucial for organizations to attract and retain young talent in the digital era. The research aims to identify the key factors influencing Generation Z’s choice of workplace and their expectations regarding a modern work environment. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 Generation Z informants and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that Generation Z prioritizes financial stability through fixed salaries, flexibility in work time and location, a supportive work atmosphere, and career development opportunities. Additionally, they value the integration of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, as a means to enhance work efficiency, while emphasizing the need for a balance between technological and human roles. Collaborative leadership styles, constructive feedback, transparency, and autonomy are also among their primary expectations from management. The implications of this study suggest that management should adapt recruitment and retention strategies by offering competitive compensation, work flexibility, a positive work environment, and opportunities for personal growth to create an attractive workplace for Generation Z.

Abstract

This study compares the effectiveness of open and closed office spaces in the Office Using direct observation and in-depth interviews, the study found that open spaces encourage collaboration and communication, although they can reduce privacy and increase noise. Meanwhile, closed spaces provide greater focus and privacy, ideal for individual tasks and confidential meetings. The findings suggest that a hybrid approach combining both layouts offers the most effective solution to accommodate a variety of work needs. Theoretically, this study highlights the importance of integrating psychological and task-based considerations in workspace design. Practically, it informs organizations about the value of flexible, activity-based office layouts that align with employees’ work styles. The novelty of this study lies in its context-specific analysis that combines observational data with user experiences, offering a more holistic perspective than previous research that often focuses on one type of layout. This highlights the need for adaptable office design to support employee well-being and productivity.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in supporting the managerial decision-making process, particularly in relation to business ethics. Technological advancements have significantly impacted the business world, especially in managerial decision-making. This study identifies the influence of AI on management, including work efficiency, reduced subjectivity, and business strategy optimization. The findings indicate that AI can effectively support office managerial activities. However, AI implementation also presents several ethical challenges, such as algorithmic bias, decision-making transparency, and data security concerns for both companies and customers. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive research design with a literature review approach. The literature review was conducted by collecting articles from journals indexed in Google Scholar and relevant to the research objectives in the last few years (2017–2024).

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh transformasi digital terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen pada media informasi yang digunakan oleh UMKM pariwisata di Lembang, Indonesia. UMKM memiliki peran besar dalam perekonomian nasional melalui penciptaan lapangan kerja, inovasi, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal. Meskipun memiliki peran strategis, penelitian terdahulu lebih banyak menitikberatkan pada efisiensi operasional dan profitabilitas, sehingga studi ini mengisi kekosongan dengan menelaah bagaimana media informasi digital mempengaruhi perilaku pembelian konsumen. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei sejumlah 244 responden. Data di dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor transformasi digital, seperti sumber daya digital, budaya dan struktur organisasi, efisiensi operasional, serta kesiapan teknologi baru, secara signifikan meningkatkan persepsi positif, niat membeli, rekomendasi, dan penilaian harga konsumen. Dengan nilai path coefficient sebesar 0,789 dan R-Square mencapai 0,623, penelitian ini mengonfirmasi bahwa digitalisasi informasi memainkan peran penting dalam mendorong keputusan pembelian di UMKM sektor pariwisata. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi pelaku usaha dan pembuat kebijakan dalam mengoptimalkan adopsi digital guna meningkatkan daya saing UMKM pariwisata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Social Media Marketing melalui platforms WhatsApp, Instagram, dan Twitter terhadap Minat Beli Konsumen di Laboratorium Bisnis Politeknik Negeri Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS 4. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling, melibatkan 150 responden mahasiswa yang aktif menggunakan ketiga platforms sosial media tersebut dan pernah melihat konten promosi Laboratorium Bisnis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh variabel Social Media Marketing pada ketiga platforms berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Minat Beli Konsumen dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,05. Instagram menjadi platforms yang memiliki pengaruh paling besar (R² = 0,675), diikuti oleh Twitter (R² = 0,526), dan WhatsApp memiliki pengaruh paling rendah (R² = 0,087). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kekuatan visual, interaktif, dan jangkauan audiens menjadi faktor penting dalam efektivitas media sosial sebagai alat pemasaran. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengelola Laboratorium Bisnis untuk mengoptimalkan strategi digital marketing, khususnya melalui platforms yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

The Go-Food application is an application that serves online food and beverage orders made by PT Gojek Indonesia. There are several new policies made by PT Gojek Indonesia to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, but there are still some driver partners and merchant partners who have not implemented these policies, such as there are Go-Food drivers who are inconsistent in using masks and gloves. , there is no guarantee for the cleanliness of food or beverage processing from the seller, and the company has not guaranteed the implementation of social distancing for its employees. This study aims to explain whether service quality has an influence on customer satisfaction of Go-Food application users during the COVID-19 pandemic for consumers in Bandung City. This study is a quantitative study with a descriptive method that examines the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction using the Go-Food application during the COVID-19 pandemic on consumers in the City of Bandung. The population used in this study was 912,000 people in the city of Bandung in the young age group (15-34 years) who used the Go-Food application during the COVID-19 pandemic with a total sample of 384 Go-Food consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic. young age group (15-34 years). The sampling technique used is a simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this research is a survey technique through the distribution of online questionnaires via google form. The data of this study were analyzed by simple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant effect on service quality on customer satisfaction using the Go-Food application during the COVID-19 pandemic on consumers in the city of Bandung.

Abstract

Manajer kantor memegang peranan penting dalam mendukung efektivitas operasional perusahaan. Untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam pengelolaan tim, waktu, dan sumber daya, dibutuhkan keterampilan manajerial yang mumpuni. Artikel ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang disusun berdasarkan kajian literatur dari berbagai sumber buku dan referensi terpercaya. Pembahasan difokuskan pada keterampilan teknis, interpersonal, dan konseptual yang harus dimiliki manajer kantor, serta strategi efektif dalampengembangannya, seperti pelatihan, coaching, mentoring, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan keterampilan manajerial berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan produktivitas, kualitas kepemimpinan, dan pengambilan keputusan. Artikel ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi manajer dan perusahaan dalam merancang strategi pengembangan yang tepat dan relevan.

Abstract

Efisiensi energi merupakan aspek penting dalam mengelola fasilitas pendidikan, terutama di lembaga pendidikan tinggi kejuruan yang kantor administrasinya sangat bergantung pada perangkat elektronik untuk operasional harian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menerapkan sistem otomasi hemat energi berbiaya rendah berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Sistem ini menggunakan berbagai sensor untuk memantau kondisi lingkungan secara real-time, seperti hunian, intensitas cahaya, dan suhu ruangan, untuk mengendalikan peralatan listrik secara otomatis.Penerapannya difokuskan pada kantor administrasi kampus, yang pemborosan energinya sering kali disebabkan oleh penggunaan perangkat secara manual dan tidak efisien. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sistem ini secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi energi sekaligus meningkatkan kenyamanan ruang kerja secara keseluruhan. Selain itu, sistem ini menawarkan kesempatan belajar langsung bagi mahasiswa kejuruan di bidang teknologi, manajemen energi, dan pengembangan sistem cerdas.Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa solusi berbasis IoT yang sederhana dan terjangkau dapat menjadi titik awal yang efektif menuju transformasi kampus hijau. Sistem ini dapat dengan mudah direplikasi di seluruh unit kampus lain tanpa memerlukan investasi besar dan mendukung integrasi pembelajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian masyarakat dalam lingkungan pendidikan kejuruan.
