Abstract

Non-test instruments are fundamental in the implementation of student needs assessment. Without the right instruments, the assessment will not be able to be carried out and the implementation of guidance and counseling services will not be able to reach services that are by student needs. This requires counselors to be able to develop instruments that can measure the psychological condition of students which can be used as a reference for making programs and providing services for students. But in reality, counseling teachers are still confused, unable to make instruments, and limited to processing and analyzing the results of the instruments obtained so that the counseling program prepared later is by the needs of students. This training and mentoring activity aims to assist counselors in developing non-test instruments independently. This activity was carried out for 9 days for Palembang City Junior High School counselors who were organized in the Palembang City Junior High School MGBK. The implementation of this activity was carried out using discussion, brainstorming, practice, and assignment methods. This activity began with filling out pretests, providing material, practice, and assignments, analyzing data, interpreting data, and ending with filling out posttests. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis showed that the t-test significance value obtained was 0.001 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the skills of counseling teachers in preparing non-test instruments before and after attending the training. During the activity, counselors were enthusiastic and eager to participate in the training. The output of this training is a questionnaire that can be used in their respective schools to assess students' needs.

Abstract

Suboptimal land use by farmers for crop cultivation activities faces obstacles including less fertile soil conditions, low soil pH and iron poisoning. To overcome this problem, efforts are needed to increase farmers' knowledge and skills, especially in the use of organic fertilizers, one of which is bokashi. The aim of this PKM activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of partners in using bokashi for plant cultivation. To achieve this goal, the method used in implementing this PKM activity is: 1). Counseling is carried out face to face with partner groups. Extension material regarding organic fertilizer, making and applying bokashi, cultivating leaf lettuce, and farmer group management; 2). Demonstration/practice of bokashi application on growing media 3). Mentoring, mentoring activities are carried out through visits to partner locations to see the results of bokashi practices that have been carried out, and holding discussions with partners. The problem with the production aspect in this farmer group is: the use of bokashi for cultivating vegetable crops is still not optimal. The solution offered to overcome production aspect problems is to transfer knowledge and technology for the use/application of bokashi for the cultivation of vegetable crops through the use of agricultural waste and available livestock materials to be used as substitutes/substitutes for inorganic fertilizers. Through the PKM activities that have been carried out, it can be seen that there has been an increase in participants' knowledge about bokashi from the initial condition of 36.63% to 94%.

Abstract

Teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Siborongborong are not fully prepared for the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum, especially in terms of pedagogy, learning structure, and preparation of teaching modules. Another crucial issue is the cultural identity crisis, where many teaching modules do not integrate Toba Batak's local wisdom, causing students to lose connection with their cultural heritage. In addition, the use of technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI) such as Chat GPT, is still very minimal due to low technological literacy among teachers, which hinders the creation of more creative, relevant, and interactive teaching modules. This service aims to improve teacher competence in developing teaching modules using artificial intelligence (AI). The methods used include intensive training, educational technology workshops, and mentoring programs for teachers. The training results showed a significant increase in teachers' understanding of the local wisdom-based Merdeka Curriculum, with an average increase of 41% from pretest to posttest. The educational technology workshop also increased teachers' knowledge regarding using Canva and Gamma applications, with an average increase of 29%. Assessment of the teaching modules produced showed that all participants reached the minimum standard with an average score of 78, which shows the service's success in improving teacher abilities. Nevertheless, some teachers still need further assistance, especially in the aspects of learning design and evaluation.

The problem is with partners: 1) Losses from production results, such as less than optimal production results or many fish dying, caused by changes in temperature and pH of fish pond water; 2) Partners do not yet have a control system for basic freshwater fish components that can monitor the temperature and acidity or pH of the water in the pond; 3) Partners do not yet have an independent source of electrical energy to supply production; 4)Partners always feels disadvantaged because the harvest is always played with by the fish collectors in the village; 5) There are very few fish collectors in Sukawangi village so they cannot accommodate all the harvest from the fish farmers to be sold on the market. Based on the priority problems faced by partners, the solutions offered by the proposing team for this PKM scheme are: 1) Applying a solar panel based water temperature and pH level sensor; 2) Implement digital marketing applications; 3) Assistance and training in the use of tools and applications. The result of this service is an increase in fish harvest from the previous 1-2 tons in 3-4 months to 2.5 tons.
