Abstract

One of the efforts to improve the quality of education is planning according to the needs of the school. The education unit has an education report card in which there is information about quality indicators based on the National Assessment (AN) which is carried out every year where the results of the AN are described in the education report card which contains the report of the education unit as a whole starting from Numeracy Literacy, Instructional Leadership of school principals, educators and education personnel, and learning environment etc. Education units in Nusa Tenggara Province in general and in Mataram City in particular have implemented data-based planning (PBD), but it is not optimal because the program is relatively new. In the education report card, there are recommendations that are referred to as the preparation of the School Activity Plan and Budget (RKAS) in which there is a priority scale of recommended programs/activities such as improving teacher competence, increasing literacy and numeracy, strengthening character education and structuring the school environment. Through Community Service (PKM), in this case to junior high school education units, socialization programs/activities are needed through workshops with the theme of data-based planning.

Abstract

The problem of clean water for people in the highlands always arises every dry season. Getting clean water every day requires a lot of effort to find a water source that is very far away. Some people even have to spend additional money to get clean water. This is also the case with people in Batulayar sub-district who live in the highlands, especially in the mountains. Surface water sources are not available so that it becomes a routine problem every year. In overcoming this problem, some people make rainwater reservoirs either in groups or individually. The reservoir is made with several materials in the form of a reservoir by making a hole in the ground surface covered with plastic or tarpaulin and a reservoir made of brick/brick masonry. The method of capturing water is directly from the ground surface by making a channel and there is by making a reservoir from local materials in the form of bamboo which then the captured water is channeled into the reservoir. The use of local materials in the form of bamboo is very potential to be used because in the Batulayar area, especially in the mountains, the availability of bamboo is very abundant. Bamboo with an age of 3 years already has quite high strength both for water flow materials and as construction materials. The weakness that is still faced by the community in utilizing bamboo is the connection method which is still very simple, so that when it rains with high intensity the connection comes loose. In using bamboo as a rainwater catchment network, it is very important to socialize the right connection model to be used in capturing rainwater.

Abstract

The earthquake and liquefaction disaster in 2018 and the Covid-19 outbreak had an impact on the economic decline of the people in Sigi Regency, resulting in a low Family Economic Resilience Index. This study aims to design a model for empowering women's groups in Sigi Regency, in order to improve the family economy by providing education regarding melon cultivation (Cucumis melo L.) which is supported by the application of the Dutch bucket hydroponic system as a business opportunity. The target and location of the study is the Family Welfare Empowerment Group (PKK) in Soulowe Village, most of whom work as housewives. The analytical method used in designing the economic empowerment of PKK families is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) analysis. The stages of participatory implementation include assessing the needs of community groups through filling out questionnaires, outreach, training, assistance with maintenance, harvest and post-harvest, and marketing. The results of the program implemented are the availability of a hydroponic installation used for the melon cultivation process, a partner guidebook that can assist partners in carrying out the cultivation process independently, quality organic melon harvests, a marketing partnership for cultivated products with fruit shops and support from village government to develop existing programs. So, this program can continue to be sustainable and become the right solution to help improve the economy of families in Soulowe Village.

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) activities were carried out by providing training to teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah in Waitomu Hamlet-Negeri Hila. This activity aims to provide insight into the development of teacher professionalism, more specifically how deep the application of CRT in learning activities at school. This activity is expected to encourage teachers to improve their competence and motivation to become professional teachers. The activity was carried out in a structured and systematic manner in the form of providing in-depth material for teachers. The result of the community service is that subject teachers can develop learning tools based on local wisdom, namely CRT, which utilizes the surrounding environment as a learning resource. In addition, 100% of teachers like this activity, this is because there are many training activities both from the center and local governments, but CRT-based training activities are rarely delivered and are even new to teachers. The school hopes that lecturers can continue to provide assistance and training for teachers at SMA Negeri 6 Maluku Tengah by sharing new things so that they can apply them in learning. By embracing CRT in learning, it can create an inclusive, interesting, and empowering learning experience that meets the various needs of all students and helps close the gap in learning
