Abstract

This research explores the role of educational management in promoting multiculturalism, democracy, and human rights within Indonesia’s education system. Motivated by the increasing need for character education in Indonesia, the study addresses the erosion of diversity values and mutual respect among students in educational and social settings. It focuses on integrating these educational values into the school curriculum, highlighting the pivotal role of educational management in facilitating this process. Using a qualitative approach, the research employs literature reviews and case studies to analyze the implementation of these principles in schools. The findings indicate that educational management plays a crucial role in integrating multicultural, democratic, and human rights values, fostering respect for diversity, justice, and equality among students. Additionally, continuous teacher training and support are identified as key to effectively implementing these values in the classroom. The implications emphasize the importance of embedding these values into the curriculum and teaching methods, ultimately preparing students to become empathetic, just, and globally-minded individuals. This research contributes to the understanding of how educational management can create a supportive environment that nurtures students’ moral values, ethical behavior, and respect for others, shaping future generations that embrace diversity and contribute to a harmonious society.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of various leadership styles on work motivation within a government organization. The researcher used a quantitative method with an associative approach. Leadership style (X) acts as the independent variable, while work motivation (Y) is the dependent variable. The population consists of all employees, with 37 respondents selected as the sample. Information was collected using a Likert scale survey and analyzed using basic linear regression in SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that leadership style has a significant effect on employee work motivation, as indicated by a p-value of 0.000, which is below 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), and a t-statistic of 8.421, which exceeds the t-table value of 2.030 (8.421 > 2.030). These findings confirm that leadership style has a significant impact on individual work motivation. These results also suggest that effective leadership practices can be strategically adopted in educational institutions to improve staff motivation and institutional performance.

Abstract

This study explores the use of data-driven planning to optimize the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS) at SMAIT Ma'had Rabbani, utilizing a strategy based on the education report card. The approach consists of three key steps: Identify, Reflect, and Fix. The results highlight that RKAS optimization can be effectively achieved by leveraging data from education report cards. Key issues identified included low learning quality and students' numeracy skills. Reflection revealed that suboptimal teaching methods (score 51.14) contributed to poor learning quality, while difficulties in data management and uncertainty (score 48.4) affected numeracy skills. In the Fix stage, a learning organization design was implemented, addressing intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, and mapping the needs for educator and staff competency development. The budgeting process includes five stages: budget calculation, identifying available funds, adjusting activities if the budget is insufficient, procurement through SIPLAH or other channels, and reporting on the Arkas platform. This research demonstrates that a data-driven approach enhances RKAS preparation, improving educational services and ensuring professional and accountable financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze effective strategic management practices for enhancing the quality of senior secondary education units in Indonesia. The role of secondary education is crucial as it serves as a bridge between basic education and either higher education or direct entry into the workforce. However, the sector faces persistent and multi-dimensional challenges, including disparities in access and quality across regions, inequitable distribution of qualified teachers, limited financial resources, and the insufficient integration of school programs with market demands. Employing a qualitative literature review and document analysis methodology, this study synthesizes findings from national education policies, empirical studies, and international best practices. The discussion encompasses visionary educational planning, comprehensive curriculum management, human resource development, facilities and infrastructure optimization, financial stewardship, stakeholder collaboration, and the integration of information technology. The findings indicate that a holistic, adaptive, and stakeholder-engaged approach to management—grounded in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement—is fundamental to fostering sustainable and high-quality senior secondary education. The paper concludes with recommendations for strengthening school management systems through professional development, participatory leadership, and technological innovation.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology urges educational institutions to innovate in promotional strategies, particularly through the utilization of social media. Social media offers broad, flexible, and easily accessible channels for reaching potential students and improving institutional image. This mix method explores the implementation of digital promotion strategies using social media, supported by both primary data (observations and student questionnaires) and secondary sources. The findings reveal that optimized use of digital platforms significantly enhances public awareness and interest in educational institutions. Instagram emerged as the most influential platform, with 91.6% of users obtaining information through it, followed by the official website at 61.4%. The engagement rate is substantial, with 25.3% of users accessing content daily and 30.1% weekly. This digital engagement correlates with a noticeable increase in prospective student applications—from 3,328 to 3,788. The study contributes to the understanding of effective digital branding strategies in the education sector, particularly in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of internalizing religious values in enhancing character management in a public elementary school with religious diversity. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using observations, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school staff. Data analysis was conducted thematically to explore internalization strategies and their impacts on students’ religious character development. The findings highlight that strategies like greeting others, collective prayers, and regular congregational prayers effectively instill religious values inclusively. Teachers’ role modeling through activities like home visits and donations fosters empathy and solidarity across religions. Reward and punishment mechanisms enhance moral awareness and intrinsic motivation. Christian students benefit from tailored activities, such as morning prayers and memorizing Bible verses, which promote tolerance. Overall, the internalization of religious values in a multi-faith school environment contributes to students’ moral, spiritual, and social development. The implications of this study for educational management emphasize the importance of integrating interfaith value internalization into character education programs. School leaders and educators should adopt inclusive strategies, such as role modeling, structured religious activities, and reward mechanisms, to foster moral, spiritual, and social development, thereby ensuring a harmonious learning environment.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic review of existing literature on teacher conflict management through a systemic approach to enhance the quality of educational services. Utilizing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, 22 nationally accredited journal articles published between 2020 and 2024 were identified, from which 5 articles were selected based on relevance, methodological rigor, and contextual alignment. The findings indicate that teacher conflicts are predominantly triggered by ineffective communication, non-inclusive leadership practices, and misalignments in organizational values and culture. Conflict resolution strategies identified include internal mediation, conflict management training, collaborative leadership, and the reinforcement of value-based organizational norms. The systemic approach offers a comprehensive lens to analyze the interrelated organizational, interpersonal, and cultural dimensions influencing conflict dynamics. This review contributes conceptually to the development of an integrated model for teacher conflict resolution tailored to the socio-cultural realities of Indonesian educational institutions. Furthermore, it highlights the need for future research to combine contemporary conflict management theories with local religious and cultural frameworks in order to support sustainable, collaborative school environments, especially in the context of the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of religious organization activities to the character development of adolescents in Indonesia. The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through direct observation and documentation of activities. The results indicate that routine activities such as youth religious study groups, Quranic recitation, basic leadership training, and social activities have shaped six key character values: religiosity, discipline, responsibility, independence, leadership, and social awareness. The development process was conducted in a participatory manner, with adolescents not only participating but also implementing and managing the activities. This research provides theoretical contributions to the field of community-based character education, particularly the role of mosques as effective non-formal educational institutions in internalizing moral and spiritual values in adolescents. However, a limitation of this study lies in the lack of use of interviews or group discussions that could explore the affective and reflective aspects of the participants. Future research is recommended to use more diverse methods and expand the scope of the research to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to identify efforts to increase tourist visits to the State Museum of Lampung Province. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through interviews with museum management. The data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. Based on the SWOT matrix results, six strategies were identified for each quadrant: Strengths–Opportunities (S-O), Weaknesses–Opportunities (W-O), Strengths–Threats (S-T), and Weaknesses–Threats (W-T). The IFAS and EFAS quadrant strategy analysis showed that the X-axis score was 0.37 and the Y-axis score was 0.15, both in the positive range. This positioning indicates that the appropriate marketing strategy for the museum falls into Quadrant I, which suggests the application of an aggressive strategy. The implications of this study for educational management suggest that applying an aggressive marketing strategy can enhance engagement and attract more visitors to cultural institutions. By utilizing a SWOT analysis, education managers can identify key strengths and opportunities, enabling them to develop targeted strategies that enhance institutional visibility, accessibility, and overall effectiveness in attracting diverse audiences.
