Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and prove the influence and contribution of organizational culture, discipline, and motivation to performance. This research was conducted for 5 months from February to June 2022 in the Sub-District Office and District Office in the Kelapa Lima District, Kupang City. This research is classified as quantitative research. The research population was 102 employees, which was determined by the sample of respondents using a saturated sample (non-probability sampling) so that the entire population became research respondents. The types of data used are primary and secondary data obtained by questionnaire, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the organizational culture variable had a positive and significant effect on employee performance because it had t-count > t-table (2.174 > 1.98397) in sig. 0.032 < 0.05. The discipline variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance because the value of t-count > t-table (5.400 > 1.98397) in sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and the motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance because the t-count > t-table (2.014 > 1.98397) on sig. 0.047 < 0.05. Simultaneously, the variables of organizational culture, discipline, and motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance because of the F-count > F-table (166.220 > 2.45) in sig. 0.000 < 0.05. The contribution of each variable based on the highest value to the lowest value on employee performance is disciplined intelligence (54.5%), organizational culture (21.6%), and motivation (18.6%).

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased inflation and poverty rates in many cities, thus requiring considerable attention from the government as a policymaker. Therefore, this study aims to cluster regencies/cities that need mitigation priorities from the Indonesian government based on inflation and poverty rates in 2021. Four machine learning methods, namely k-Means (KM), Partitioning around medoids (PAM), Ward, and Divisive analysis (Diana) are utilized and compared to achieve that purpose. Clustering 90 regencies/cities in Indonesia produced five optimal clusters. Furthermore, the clustering results were validated using the Silhouette width (SW) and Dunn index (DI). The results showed that the k-means method produced the most compact cluster. Hence, this study's results can be utilized as a reference for the government in determining the steps and priorities of economic policy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a blueprint for improving the human life quality. Goal 16 (G16) is related to security, and it is in line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution. To support the implementation of the G16 achievement, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has made serious efforts to provide a sense of safety for the community and to minimize crime rates. One of the efforts that could be made is to map areas based on the level of crimes so that the Polri can determine the appropriate strategy/priority of action for mitigation. Therefore, this study aimed to cluster provinces in Indonesia based on the four G16 indicators of the SDGs related to security, namely the number of homicide cases, the victim proportion, the proportion of people who feel safe walking alone in the area where they live, and the proportion of victims of violence that  reported to the police in the past year using five hierarchical clustering methods, namely: Single-Linkage, Average-Linkage, Complete-Linkage, Ward, and Division Analysis. Then, methods were validated and compared using six cluster validations to obtain the most compact method. The results showed that Ward's method outperformed the others and produced three clusters. Clusters 1, 2, and 3 contained 18, 5, and 11 provinces respectively.

Abstract

In this study, the author wants to prove the combination of feature importance and support vector machine relevant to detecting distributed denial-of-service attacks. A distributed denial-of-service attack is a very dangerous type of attack because it causes enormous losses to the victim server. The study begins with determining network traffic features, followed by collecting datasets. The author uses 1000 randomly selected network traffic datasets for the purposes of feature selection and modeling. In the next stage, feature importance is used to select relevant features as modeling inputs based on support vector machine algorithms. The modeling results were evaluated using a confusion matrix table. Based on the evaluation using the confusion matrix, the score for the recall is 93 percent, precision is 95 percent, and accuracy is 92 percent. The author also compares the proposed method to several other methods. The comparison results show the performance of the proposed method is at a fairly good level in detecting distributed denial-of-service attacks. We realized this result was influenced by many factors, so further studies are needed in the future.

The population of this study is 286 employees of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk in the Operations Division with a sample of 127 employees. The sampling technique used is Non-probability sampling with the type of sampling that is purposive sampling. The results showed that the t value of the work experience variable (4.204) > ttable (1.97944), the t-count value of the education level variable (4.218) > t table (1.97944), the t-count value of the training variable (6.067) > ttable (1 .9746) and calculated F value (65.117) > F table (2.68). The correlation coefficient (R) 0.783 shows a strong and positive relationship, the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.614 which means 61.4% of the employee performance variables of PT Semen Baturaja (Persero Tbk in the Operations Division can be explained by the variables of work experience, level of education and training and 38 ,6% is influenced by other variables. The conclusion of this study shows that the variables of work experience, level of education and training partially and significantly have a positive and significant influence on employee performance.
