Abstract

The emergence of the concept of school well-being provides a reference to the ideal school concept that is able to promote the well-being of its students. However, implementing this concept is not easy. School well-being is the subjective assessment by students of how their school meets their basic needs. These basic needs dimensions include having, loving, being, and health. Incorporating perceived social support and optimism into school well-being is a positive action. This study aims to examine the simultaneous role of perceived social support and optimism on school well-being among adolescents. The population of this study consisted of adolescents in the city of Karawang, with a sample of 203 individuals. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. The data in this study were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between perceived social support, optimism, and school well-being is found to be significant with a significance value of 0.000. R-square value is 0.235, meaning that 23.5% of the variation in school well-being is influenced by perceived social support and optimism, while the remaining 76.5% is due to other unmeasured variables in this study. Keywords: Adolescents, optimism, perceived social support, school well-being Hadirnya konsep school well-being memberikan referensi mengenai konsep sekolah ideal yang mampu menyejahterakan siswanya. Namun demikian untuk mengimplementasikan konsep tersebut tidaklah mudah. School well-being ialah penilaian yang berisifat subjektif oleh siswa terhadap bagaimana sekolahnya yang akan memenuhi kebutuhan dasarnya. Dimensi kebutuhan dasar tersebut ialah having, loving, being, dan health. Memasukkan dukungan sosial dan optimisme ke dalam school well-being merupakan tindakan positif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran simultan dukungan sosial dan optimismee terhadap school well-being pada remaja. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan remaja di kota Karawang dengan sampel sebanyak 203 orang. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel adalah dengan metode quota sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial dan optimisme berpengaruh terhadap school well-being dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Nilai Rsquare sebesar 0,235; artinya sebesar 23,5% variasi pada school well being dipengaruhi oleh dukungan sosial dan optimisme, sisanya sebesar 76,5% disebabkan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diukur dalam penelitian ini. Abstract

Hate speech behavior is now common, as seen from the rise of individuals who use abusive language or swear words that are actually inappropriate to say and do when interacting with others. This can certainly affect individual behavior, especially late adolescents and can trigger the development of new languages and negative behaviors such as hate speech. One of the factors influencing hate speech behavior is emotional maturity. This study aims to see the influence of emotional maturity on hate speech behavior in late adolescents in Karawang. The method used is a quantitative approach. The measuring tools used are the hate speech scale and the emotional maturity scale. The sample of this study amounted to 302 respondents. The sampling technique uses non-probability techniques with snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study use normality tests, linearity tests, hypothesis tests with simple regression analysis, determination coefficient tests and categorization tests. The results in this study showed that the emotional maturity variable had a regression coefficient value of -0.434 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that emotional maturity has a negative and significant effect on the value of hate speech. It is known that the variable of emotional maturity has a contribution of (4.4%) to influence hate speech behavior in late adolescents in Karawang. The rest (95.6%) were influenced by other variables not studied in the study. The implications obtained in this study are expected to provide information to adolescents to be more able to contribute practically by honing the ability to control emotions and be able to adapt to the sausage environment in order to avoid negative behaviors such as hate speech.Perilaku ujaran kebencian saat ini sudah sering terjadi, terlihat dari maraknya individu yang menggunakan bahasa kasar atau umpatan kata yang sebenarnya tidak pantas diucapkan dan dilakukan ketika sedang berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Hal tersebut tentunya dapat berpengaruh terhadap perilaku individu khususnya para remaja akhir dan dapat memicu berkembangnya bahasa baru serta perilaku negatif seperti ujaran kebencian. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku ujaran kebencian adalah kematangan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kematangan emosi terhadap perilaku ujaran kebencian pada remaja akhir di Karawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala ujaran kebencian dan skala kematangan emosi. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 302 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probabilitas dengan teknik snowball sampling. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji hipotesis dengan analisis regresi sederhana, uji koefisien determinasi dan uji kategorisasi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan variabel kematangan emosi memiliki nilai koefisien regresi sebesar -0,434 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti bahwa kematangan emosi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap nilai ujaran kebencian. Diketahui bahwa variabel kematangan emosi memiliki kontribusi sebesar (4,4%) untuk memengaruhi perilaku ujaran kebencian pada remaja akhir di Karawang. Sisanya (95,6%) dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Implikasi yang didapat dalam penelitian ini yaitu diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi kepada remaja untuk lebih dapat berkontribusi secara praktis dengan mengasah kemampuan dalam mengontrol emosi dan mampu beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sosisal agar dapat menghindari diri dari perilaku negatif seperti ujaran kebencian.

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang baru lulus dihadapkan pada suatu tantangan baru, di mana individu perlu bersaing satu sama lain untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan. Dalam usaha mencari pekerjaan, mahasiswa lulusan baru dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan dan kesulitan yang memberikan dampak kurang baik bagi individu, sehingga diperlukan penyesuaian diri bagi individu untuk mampu mengatasi dampak-dampak tersebut, hal ini dikenal dengan istilah resiliensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap resiliensi pada mahasiswa lulusan tahun akademik 2021/2022 di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan skala psikologi melalui alat ukur The ConnorDavidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) oleh Yu & Zhang (2007) dan The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES-12) oleh Bosscher & Smit (1998) dengan melibatkan 112 responden. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05, maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, sehingga diketahui terdapat penngaruh self-efficacy terhadap resiliensi pada mahasiswa lulusan tahun akademik 2021/2022 di Kabupaten Karawang. Berdasarkan hasil uji koefisien determinasi, diketahui bahwa pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap resiliensi mahasiswa lulusan tahun akademik 2021/2022 di Kabupaten Karawang adalah sebanyak 15.8% dan 84.2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk variabel dalam penelitian ini. Newly graduated students are faced with a new challenge, where individuals need to compete with each other for jobs. In an effort to find a job, fresh graduate students are faced with various challenges and difficulties that have an adverse impact on individuals, so that individual adjustments are needed to be able to overcome these impacts, this is known as resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-efficacy on resilience in graduate students in the 2021/2022 academic year in Karawang Regency. This study uses a quantitative method with a psychological scale using The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) by Yu & Zhang (2007) and The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES-12) by Bosscher & Smit (1998) involving 112 respondents.The results of the analysis show a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so it is known that there is an influence of self-efficacy on resilience in students graduating from the 2021/2022 academic year in Karawang Regency. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test, it is known that the effect of self-efficacy on the resilience of students graduating from the academic year 2021/2022 in Karawang Regency is 15.8% and 84.2% is influenced by other factors that are not included in the variables in this study.

Abstract

In this digital era, people increasingly prefer to engage in easy activities, such as online shopping. Impulsive buying is a phenomenon that occurs unconsciously in daily life, both by men and women. The age group of 18-21 years old, particularly adolescents, tend to engage in impulsive buying more than other age groups. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the influence of conformity and positive emotions as predictors of consumer impulsive buying tendencies in online shopping in Karawang. The research method used in this study is an associative quantitative method. The research instruments include a 42-item conformity scale, a 38-item positive emotions scale, and a 23-item impulsive buying tendency scale. The population of this study is online shoppers aged 18-21 years old in Karawang. The sampling technique used is quota sampling with a sample size of 385 people. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression test using JASP 0.16 software. Based on the data analysis, the significance value obtained was < 0.001 or p < 0.05, indicating that conformity and positive emotions can influence the tendency of consumer impulsive buying in online shopping in Karawang as predictors. The influence contributed by conformity and positive emotions towards the tendency of consumer impulsive buying in online shopping in Karawang is 20.4%, while the remaining 79.6% is influenced by other variables outside the scope of this research.

Abstract

The government's policy regarding the resumption of face-to-face schooling requires students to adapt to a new learning system. The situation faced by students will impact their psychological state, including their subjective well-being. Several factors predicted to play a role in subjective well-being are emotional maturity and social support. This research aims to investigate the role of emotional maturity and social support in subjective well-being among high school students in Karawang. The method used is a quantitative method by distributing an online questionnaire using Google Forms. The scales used were the Subjective Well-being Scale, Emotional Maturity Scale, and Social Support Scale. The research participants consisted of 287 respondents from grades X, XI, and XII who had undergone face-to-face learning after the government-imposed activity restrictions. The results of the data analysis using multiple linear regression techniques showed an F-value of 27.762 with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005, indicating that the hypothesis in this research is accepted. This means that the emotional maturity and social support variables, together, have an influence on subjective well-being.

Abstract

Currently the problem that often occurs in individuals, especially in early adulthood is regarding low self-confidence. As students, individuals must have self-confidence because students are required to actively become independent individuals, able to take the initiative to seek information and be able to communicate well in private situations and to the general public. This is in line with a preliminary study through a pre-research survey conducted by researchers regarding self-confidence in psychology students at Buana Perjuangan Karawang University class of 2018. Based on data from students, namely 40 respondents, the result was 32% of students felt less confident about appearing in class and often Avoid eye contact with the lecturer during class discussions. This is because some students do not dare to ask the lecturer directly. The urgency regarding self-confidence which tends to be low needs to be increased through positive self-talk. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of positive self-talk to increase the self-confidence of psychology students at Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang. This study used a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study were psychology students class of 2018. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the sample consisted of 11 students. The instrument used in this study is a self-confidence scale that has been tested starting from expert judgment to reliability testing. The reliability of the trust scale tested using Cronbach Alpha obtained a coefficient of 0.896 which indicates a very good level of reliability. Hypothesis testing using paired sample test assisted by SPSS version 23 for Windows. The results showed that the treatment with positive self-talk techniques was effective in increasing the self-confidence of psychology students. This can be seen in the paired sample test, the results of the experimental group's pretest and posttest scores obtained a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.005 <0.05, which means H0 is rejected and HA is accepted.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the roles of loneliness, psychological distress, emotional maturity, and self-control as predictors of cybersex behavior among college students in Karawang, Indonesia. The research method used in this research is an associative quantitative approach with the convenience sampling technique, which selects 349 college students in Karawang who meet the research characteristics as respondents. The data collection in this research was conducted using five Likert-scale models, which are self-control, loneliness, psychological distress, emotional maturity, and cybersex behavior scales. The data analysis in this research utilizes the hypothesis testing of multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the data analysis results, it is indicated that each predictor partially plays a role in cybersex behavior. Furthermore, loneliness, psychological distress, emotional maturity, and self-control collectively also play a role as predictors of cybersex behavior among college students in Karawang, Indonesia, with an influence of 16.8%.

Abstract

Pekerjaan yang melibatkan bidang jasa, seperti polisi, perawat, guru, sales, maupun pekerjaan lain yang membutuhkan pelayanan, rentan terhadap ketegangan sehingga menimbulkan stres dalam waktu yang lama dan terjadi burnout. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi resiliensi dapat menjadi variabel mediator pada pengaruh stres kerja terhadap burnout yang terjadi pada dosen dan tenaga kependidikan. Subjek yang dipilih untuk riset ini merupakan dosen serta tenaga akademik di Universitas X pada sampel sejumlah 152 orang. Metode untuk melakukan penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10), Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) dan Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) versi Cina yang dimodifikasi oleh Yu & Zhang. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu variabel stres kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel burnout dibuktikan dari nilai p < 0.001, dengan nilai pengaruh sebesar 31,3%. Selain itu resiliensi terbukti dapat menjadi variabel mediator pada pengaruh stres kerja terhadap burnout dengan p = 0.006 (p < 0.050), dengan nilai pengaruh stres kerja terhadap burnout setelah di mediasi oleh variabel resiliensi menjadi 19,1%. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya hendaklah melanjutkan penelitian ini dengan mencari tahu variabel lain yang memedisi pengaruh stres terhadap burnout, memperbanyak variasi dari sampel serta memperhatikan keberagaman sampel.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of positive self-talk to increase the self-confidence of psychology students at Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang. This study uses a one group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study were psychology students from the 2018 class. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the sample consisted of 11 students. The instrument used in this study is a self-confidence scale that has been tested starting from expert judgment to reliability testing. The reliability of the confidence scale that was tested using Cronbach Alpha obtained a coefficient of 0.896 which indicates a very good level of reliability. Hypothesis testing using paired samples test assisted through SPSS version 23 for windows program. The results showed that the treatment with positive self-talk techniques was effective in increasing the self-confidence of psychology students. This can be seen in the paired samples test, the results of the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group obtained a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.005 < 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Kompleksitas semakin bertambah apabila pekerjaan yang dijalani tidak sejalan dengan bidang ilmu yang sebelumnya dipelajari. Agar mampu mengatasi hambatan yang muncul selama transisi karir ini, diperlukan persiapan yang disebut sebagai adaptabilitas karir. Adaptabilitas karir dapat di tinggikan melalui locus of control dan resiliensi. Locus of control adalah keyakinan atau cara pandang individu dalam mengartikan sumber kekuatannya, yang bersumber dari tindakannya sendiri atau berasal dari kekuatan luar dirinya. Sementara, resiliensi adalah kemampuan individu untuk bertahan, bangkit, dan menyesuaikan dengan kondisi yang sulit. Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh locus of control dan resiliensi terhadap adaptabilitas karir pada dewasa awal di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 106 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk skala adaptabilitas karir yaitu, Career Adapt-Ability Scale (CAAS), skala locus of control menggunakan Levenson IPC Scale dan skala resiliensi menggunakan Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Hasil uji regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan locus of control dan resiliensi berpengaruh secara bersamaan terhadap adaptabilitas karir dengan taraf sig 0,000 < 0,05.
