Abstract

Produktivitas dan mutu hasil yang rendah merupakan masalah umum yang sering terjadi pada perkebunan karet di Indonesia. Kendala utama kehilangan hasil akibat adanya persaingan gulma. Kehadiran gulma dapat menyebabkan kompetisi antara tanaman karet dengan gulma. Untuk itu diperlukan pengendalian gulma yang tepat salah satunya menggunakan herbisida. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas dan dosis yang efektif pada tiga jenis herbisida serta fitotoksisitas pada tanaman karet belum menghasilkan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – Juni 2016 di PTPN XII, Kebun Pancursari, Afdeling Pagergunung, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 3 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA), jika terdapat pengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut BNT 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan 25 spesies gulma pada lahan tanaman karet belum menghasilkan. Perlakuan herbisida campuran glifosat + triklopir dan glifosat + 2,4-D pada taraf dosis yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata dalam penurunan bobot kering gulma dibandingkan dengan tanpa pengendalian gulma. Dosis herbisida yang efektif dalam mengendalikan gulma adalah herbisida campuran glifosat + 2,4-D dosis 2,6 l.ha-1 mampu menekan bobot kering gulma hingga 12 Minggu Setelah Aplikasi dan pemberian ketiga jenis herbisida tidak menunjukkan gejala fitotoksisitas pada tanaman karet belum menghasilkan.

Abstract

Turfgrass ialah tanaman ornamental berupa rumput lanskap, bentuknya menutupi permukaan lahan yang dapat digunakan sebagai area rekreasi, olahraga dan pencegah erosi. Jenis turfgrass yang umum dibudidayakan untuk kebutuhan lapangan dan taman yaitu rumput bermuda, rumput jepang dan rumput gajah mini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interval penyiraman terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas pada tiga jenis turfgrass (rumput bermuda, rumput gajah mini, rumput jepang). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Maret 2016 sampai Mei 2016 di rumah kaca yang terletak di kebun percobaan Agroecotechnopark, Fakultas Pertanian di Desa Jatikerto, kecamatan Kromengan, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode  Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 2 faktor yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Faktor pertama (interval penyiraman) dan faktor kedua  (jenis turfgrass). Data dianalisis menggunakan  analisis ragam (ANOVA). Apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata dilakukan uji lanjut dengan Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi yang nyata antar kedua perlakukan. Interval penyiraman berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel pengamatan jumlah pucuk, panjang akar, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar, bobot kering total tanaman, skor warna, dan daya recovery. Interval penyiraman setiap 3 hari sekali dengan penyiraman sesuai dengan kapasitas lapang yaitu 1,5 liter/bak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas ketiga jenis turfgrass pada semua variable pengamatan. Rumput jepang paling tahan terhadap kondisi kekeringan dibanding dengan rumput bermuda dan rumput gajah mini.

Abstract

This study contributes to understanding ecological changes in land use following slash-and-burn land clearing. This study aimed to compare the richness and density of plant species and soil fertility in farmland cultivated for one year (1 Y), three years (3 Y), and five years (5 Y) after slash-and-burn, with the conditions in the secondary forest (SF) in Berau Regency of East Kalimantan. Understory plant taxon types, numbers, and soil organic matter were measured in each region using a series of nested plots. The size of each observation plot was 20 x 100 m. Data on understory vegetation composition was collected using 1 x 1 m mini plots at 20 sampling points and divided into five blocks, with a 10 m spacing between sampling points on each property. Understory vegetation species and cover percentage, litter cover percentage, open soil percentage, and soil fertility were measured for each observation plot. The results showed that the land cover percentage increased each year during the 5 years transition from secondary forest to farmland. Furthermore, within the 5 years, there was a change in understory species, particularly the presence of grasses and sedges at 3 and 5 years after the land use change. However, the transition from secondary forest to farmland within 5 years did not alter soil organic matter and total nitrogen.

Abstract

Tebu mempunyai nilai ekonomis cukup tinggi tetapi produksi gula masih dikatakan rendah karena kurangnya penyediaan bibit tebu dan dan kualitas varietas yang digunakan. PG Rejo Agung lebih sering menggunakan bibit bagal, pada kenyataannya lebih efisien menggunakan Bud Chips. Usaha untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan akar bibit Bud Chips dapat dipacu dengan pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) berupa ekstrak bawang merah yang mengandung auksin dan giberelin. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi hasil produksi adalah kualitas varietas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan respon pertumbuhan bibit Bud Chips varietas Bululawang dan PS 862 terhadap perlakuan ZPT ekstrak bawang merah. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah diduga terdapat respon pertumbuhan terbaik pada bibit Bud Chipsvarietas PS 862 lebih baik terhadap perlakuan ZPT ekstrak bawang merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT. PG Rajawali 1 Unit PG Rejo Agung Baru, Kota Madiun, Jawa Timur, April-Juli 2023. Bahan: bibit Bud Chips varietas Bululawang dan varietas PS 862, tanah top soil, air, bawang merah, ZPT Atonik. Alat: alat tulis, meteran, cetok, timbangan, kamera, dan jangka sorong. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial. Bud Chips tebu pada varietas Bululawang dan varietas PS 862 diberikan perlakuan perendaman ZPT Atonik, air, dan ZPT ekstrak bawang merah hasilnya berbeda nyata pada jumlah akar, panjang akar, kecepatan tumbuh tunas, persentase tumbuh tunas, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan diameter batang. Varietas PS 862 menunjukkan respon pertumbuhan yang lebih baik pada perendaman ZPT ekstrak bawang merah. Pertumbuhan bibit Bud Chips pada varietas Bululawang dan PS 862 perlakuan air saja menunjukkan adanya respon pertumbuhan.

Abstract

Introducing superior plants is one of the efforts to increase coffee produc- tivity in Indonesia. Three clones from France de Torino (FRT), FRT 07, FRT 09, and FRT 65, have been introduced to Indonesia. However, their cultivation is not widely distributed yet. Analysis of the responses of FRT clones against differences in climate and cultivation is needed to determine the right cultivation system to produce maximum growth and productivity. This study examines the vegetative growth of FRT clones introduced at some levels of shade. The study employed a split-plot design with 36 experimental units. The primary factor was the levels of shade consisting: without shade, 25% of shade, 50% of shade, and 100% of shade. The three introduced FRT clones (FRT 07, FRT 09, and FRT 65) were used as the subplot. Observations were done on several growth variables. The results showed that shade treatment affected all growth parameters and plant architecture. Clones significiantly affected plant height, orthotropic internode length, number of leaves, and average leaf area. Increased levels of shade caused an increase in internode length, branch angle, and crown diameter but decrease in number of internodes and leaves. A low level of shade (25%) produced an optimal value on parameters related to the productivity of FRT coffee plants, such as the number of plagiotropic internodes and the number of leaves. Parameters related to vegetative growth, such as plant height, stem diameter, and internode length, showed optimal values in a moderate level of shade (50%). Treatment without shade and a heavy shade resulted in impaired growth of FRT coffee. There was no interaction between levels of shade and clone treatment on most of the variables related to plant morphology, which indicated that the three introduced FRT clones gave relatively similar response to shade; thus, the three clones can be managed with the same shade management.

Abstract

Malang District, East Java, presents significant potential for the development of oil palm plantations due to its favorable climate and land conditions. Indonesia, as the world's largest producer of palm oil, benefits from this industry, which contributes notably to its GDP and job creation. This study aims to provide a comprehensive development plan for oil palm in Malang District, incorporating environmental, economic, and social considerations. A participatory, data-driven approach was employed, combining field surveys, stakeholder interviews, and GIS mapping to assess land suitability, market dynamics, and environmental risks. The study's findings highlight the potential for enhancing oil palm productivity while addressing environmental and social concerns through sustainable practices and certifications like ISPO and RSPO. Economic analysis demonstrates the profitability of integrated oil palm management, with recommendations for improving operational efficiency, waste management, and market access.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa pelatihan teknologi budidaya tanaman bunga matahari di kelompok tani Desa Bokor. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknologi budidaya tanaman bunga matahari di kelompok tani, dan memberikan pemahaman dan meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat untuk membudidayakan tanaman bunga matahari. Program tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh rencana desa untuk mengembangkan desa ke arah desa wisata. Keberadaan bunga matahari dapat menambah daya tarik dan nilai estetika lingkungan, sehingga dapat menarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke desa. Hal ini secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan menciptakan lapangan kerja baru. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli - November 2020 di Desa Bokor Kabupaten Malang. Metode pelaksanaan adalah metode Training of  Trainer (TOT). Tahapan metode pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi perencanaan, persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Tim pengabdian masyarakat melakukan  monitoring secara daring dan luring/langsung turun ke lapangan, untuk melihat langsung kondisi tanaman dan berkomunikasi sekaligus berdiskusi dengan perwakilan petani. Di akhir kegiatan pengabdian, tim pengabdian juga melakukan pemberian bantuan benih tanaman bunga matahari yang bermutu tinggi. Hasil program pengabdian yaitu telah meningkatnya keterampilan teknologi budidaya tanaman bunga matahari di kelompok tani Desa Bokor, pemahaman dan partisipasi masyarakat untuk membudidayakan tanaman bunga matahari juga meningkat

Abstract

Desa Bokor memiliki potensi sebagai Desa Wisata berbasis pertanian dan bentang alam serta letak yang strategis pada jalur wisata. Pada pengabdian masyarakat sebelumnya sudah dilakukan peningkatan ketrampilan perbanyakan tanaman hias dan analisis TWIN dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata di Desa Bokor. Sehingga, dalam mendukung program desa sebagai Desa Wisata diperlukan lomba kreativitas dan edukasi edukasi tanaman hias untuk meningkatkan keindahan dan kualitas lingkungan Desa Bokor. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat adalah: 1) Memanfaatkan lahan kosong atau tegal kosong dan pekarangan untuk budidaya tanaman hias, 2) Meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan desa dan meningkatkan keindahan desa, dan 3) Menggiatkan dan memotivasi warga desa untuk mewujudkan Desa Wisata. Masyarakat mengetahui dan memahami teknologi budidaya tanaman hias, manfaat, dan luaran pada kegiatan ini adalah: a) Masyarakat mengetahui dan memahami teknologi budidaya tanaman hias, b) Masyarakat dapat mengoptimalkan lahan pekarangan untuk tempat budidaya tanaman hias, dan c) Masyarakat desa menjadi termotivasi untuk mewujudkan desa agrowisata.

Abstract

A Method to increase the capacity of farmers is through farmer institutions. BUMP or know as (Farmer-Owned Enterprise) is one of the farmer institutions which incorporate in the agricultural commodity association. BUMP is helpful association for increasing farmer’s income and knowledge, facilitating farmers in obtaining production facilities and also capital, and facilitating the sale of crops to increase the productivity of agricultural products. However, behind the benefits provided, there are challenges that must be faced related to the willingness of farmers to adopt innovations. This study pays attention to how the influence of self-efficacy and attitude on the willingness to adopt is supported by the variables Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness. This research was conducted in Dadaplangu Village, Ponggok District, Blitar Regency. Respondents in the study consist of 35 members of Gapoktan Rukun Sentosa who were taken by a saturated sampling technique. The result analysis of this study using SEM PLS showed that self-efficacy, attitude, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness influenced the farmers' willingness to adopt the innovation.

Abstract

In the biological science, invertebrate (especially insect) diversity is relatively well known. Yet, little study about their interaction with specific land use or specific system function. With the rapid changes of landscape, biodiversity is also changes in response to human impact; due to each organism have the specific interaction with certain environment. In this research, the assessment of insect order in the different landscape types was conducted using several method of trapping to understand the specific pattern of insect which are inhabited the landscape. The objectives of this research were monitored the Insect diversity, its ecological importance to agro-forestry ecosystem, and compare it with other forest type in this area. Another objective was determined the insect characteristic as the indicator of environmental quality on each land-use system (forest, agroforestry, plantation and monoculture). Monoculture agriculture has the largest number of Lepidoptera and Hemiptera order (herbivore insect dominated) while in agro-forest system has the largest number of Diptera and coleoptera order. Protected forest, plantation forest and agro-forestry showed the similar index number which shows the similar ecological services for the insect as their habitat. However, in the monoculture agriculture, there was an unbalance insect composition and high dominance.Keywords: landscape, biodiversity, environment indicator index
