Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pertama mengenai penerapan metode keteladanan guru dalam meningkatkan akhlak terpuji dengan fokus penelitian mengenai bentuk upaya sekolah dalam meningkatkan akhlak terpuji peserta didik yang diintegrasikan dengan penerapan metode keteladanan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Penelitian itu terfokus pada penerapan metode keteladanan dan akhlak terpuji di Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Muta’alimin Krejengan. Penelitian ini berlokasi di di Desa Opo-Opo Kecamatan Krejengan Kabupaten Probolonggo Provinsi Jawa Timur. Adapun sumber data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang dan terdiri dari Kepala sekolah Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatu Muta’alimin, guru pendidikan agama islam, siswa kelas VII. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yakni penerapan metode keteladanan guru dalam meningkatkan akhlak terpuji peserta didik di Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Muta’alimin Krejengan melalui beberapa hal yang pertama, melalui program sholat dhuha berjamaah, pengecekan kerapaian pakaian seragam, mengaji bersama sebelum memasuki kelas masing-masing, menggunakan bahasa yang sopan ketika berada di sekolah, dan menerapkan 5s (Senyum, Sapa, Salam, Sopan, Santun). Kata Kunci: Penerapan Metode Keteladanan Guru, Meningkatkan Akhlak Terpuji Abstrak This research is the first research on the application of the teacher's exemplary method in improving commendable morals with a focus on research on the form of school efforts in improving the commendable character of students which is integrated with the application of the teacher's exemplary method. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. The research focused on the application of exemplary methods and commendable morals at Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Muta'alimin Krejengan. This research is located in Opo-Opo Village, Krejengan District, Probolonggo Regency, East Java Province. The sources of data were obtained through observation and interviews. The resource persons in this study were three people and consisted of the Principal of Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatu Muta'alimin, Islamic religious education teachers, and seventh grade students. The results obtained from this study are the application of the teacher's exemplary method in improving the commendable character of students at Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Muta'alimin Krejengan through several things, first, through the dhuha prayer program in congregation, checking the tidiness of uniforms, reciting together before entering each class. , use polite language when at school, and apply the 5s (Smile, Greet, Greeting, Polite, Polite). Abstract

Abstract Speaking is one of the most important of the four skills namely listening skills, speaking skills, reading skills and writing skills. Talking is one action to convey information and express ideas and feelings. This research is conducted to describe students' difficulties in speaking English lessons, factors that make it difficult for students to speak English, and students strategies to overcome their difficulties in speaking English lessons in twelfth grade MA Islam Sirojut Tholibin 2022/2023. This study uses a qualitative method. MA Sirojut Tholibin class XII IPA selected by the researcher as a sample consisting of 32 students. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data collected analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verification. Researchers use the results of the pretest and posttest, to show reliability data. From the data analysis, the researcher found that each student was different difficulty in speaking, there is lack of vocabulary, poor pronunciation, nothing to say, lack of motivation, fear of being wrong, shy, using mother tongue. There are factors that cause difficulties in speaking English in English lessons. Other factors are internal factors, students do not have an interest in learning to speak, classroom conditions, student environment. Students have strategies for coping their difficulty in speaking. Students join English clubs or English courses for improve their speaking, so they can practice speaking English and ask them friend or teacher to improve their English. Students memorize vocabulary and write short stories to improve their speaking skills. Keyword: English Speaking, Student’s Difficulties, Solution

Abstract

This study aims to examine the instructional strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to develop Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing their implementation. A qualitative case study was conducted at Madrasah. Data were collected through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal six key instructional strategies: active learning, higher-order questioning, contextual learning, interactive discussion, diverse learning resources, and HOTS-based assessment. The implementation of these strategies was supported by teachers' pedagogical competence, adequate instructional resources, and a conducive learning environment, while limited instructional time, heterogeneous student readiness, and conventional teaching practices emerged as major constraints. The study concludes that the successful development of HOTS requires an integrated instructional approach combining planning, implementation, classroom interaction, and authentic assessment. This research contributes a comprehensive pedagogical framework for HOTS-oriented Islamic Religious Education and provides practical recommendations for teachers, school leaders, and policymakers to strengthen instructional quality.

Abstract

This study examines the values of tolerance in the thought of Buya Hamka and their relevance to adolescent character education within the context of Islamic Religious Education. The study is motivated by the increasing phenomenon of intolerance, bullying, and moral degradation among Indonesian youth, which reflects a gap between the ideal objectives of Islamic Religious Education and contemporary social realities. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods. The primary sources consist of Hamka’s major works, namely Falsafah Hidup, Lembaga Hidup, Modern Sufism, and Tafsir Al-Azhar. Data were analyzed using content analysis with a philosophical and pedagogical perspective. The findings reveal that Hamka’s thought contains comprehensive values of tolerance, including tasamuh (forbearance), rahmah (universal compassion), justice (‘adl), and wasathiyyah (moderation), all of which are rooted in Qur’anic theological principles. These values are highly relevant for integration into Islamic Religious Education to foster tolerant, inclusive, moderate, and morally grounded adolescents. This study offers a conceptual framework for tolerance education based on Indonesian Islamic thought that is contextual and applicable to contemporary multicultural society.

Abstract

This study discusses the concept of tarbiyah in Islamic education from the perspective of Hasan Langgulung. The background of this research is based on the increasingly complex challenges of Islamic education in the modern era, especially regarding moral degradation and the imbalance between intellectual and spiritual development. This study aims to analyze Hasan Langgulung’s thoughts regarding the basic concept of tarbiyah, the objectives of Islamic education within the framework of tarbiyah, and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. The method used in this study is library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The primary sources are Hasan Langgulung’s works, while secondary sources include books, journals, and other relevant scientific references. The results of the study indicate that tarbiyah according to Hasan Langgulung is a comprehensive process of fostering human potential encompassing spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social dimensions. Islamic education is directed toward forming balanced individuals who are capable of carrying out their roles as servants of Allah and caliphs on earth. Furthermore, Hasan Langgulung’s concept of tarbiyah remains relevant in addressing modern educational challenges because it emphasizes character building, moral values, and the integration of religious and general knowledge.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the declining number of students at the Nahdlatul Ulama Senior High School (MA NU) in Maron over the past two years, despite the institution’s adequate facilities, strategic location, and affiliation with the large Nahdlatul Ulama organization. This situation indicates a gap between the institution’s internal potential and its perceived appeal in the eyes of the community. This study aims to describe public perceptions, identify factors influencing public interest and trust, and assess the quality of the madrasah as a basis for strategic recommendations for institutional development. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews with 10 informants (the madrasah principal, teachers, parents, alumni, and community leaders), and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions using triangulation validity techniques. The research results indicate that MA NU Maron is considered strong in fostering religious character through flagship programs such as the Qur’an memorization program and the cultivation of religious practices. However, this strength is hindered by the community’s negative perceptions regarding student discipline outside of school and the lack of variety in extracurricular activities. This study is important as a basis for evaluation to align administrative quality with the community’s practical expectations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies of teachers and parents in addressing students' learning anxiety in science at Sunan Bonang II Islamic Elementary School. Learning anxiety is a psychological condition frequently experienced by students and can affect concentration, motivation, and learning outcomes. Science is considered quite challenging because it combines natural and social science concepts, requiring understanding, observation, and critical thinking skills. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and parents is necessary to help students overcome learning anxiety to make the learning process more effective and enjoyable. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Subjects included classroom teachers, parents, and students at Sunan Bonang II Islamic Elementary School. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was achieved through triangulation of sources and techniques.The results showed that teachers' strategies in reducing students' learning anxiety included the use of varied learning methods, providing motivation and positive reinforcement, engaging with students in a personal manner, and creating a comfortable and enjoyable classroom atmosphere. Meanwhile, parental strategies include providing attention and support during home learning, building good communication with children, providing emotional support, and actively collaborating with teachers. Collaboration between teachers and parents has been proven to help students become more confident, more active in learning, and reduce fear during science lessons. Thus, synergy between the school and family environment plays a crucial role in supporting students' psychological health and academic success.
