Abstract

This qualitative study aims to identify the competencies required by students to navigate the VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era. The research was conducted through in-depth interviews with students and lecturers from public and private universities in Jakarta. The data collection method involved in-depth interviews to gather comprehensive insights into the competencies deemed essential for students. The data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques, which facilitated the identification of recurring themes and patterns in the responses. The findings reveal eight key competencies that are critical for students in the VUCA environment: Leadership, Digital Literacy, Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Global Citizenship, Problem Solving, and Team-working. Leadership is highlighted as the ability to inspire and motivate others, while Digital Literacy is seen as fundamental for understanding and utilizing evolving technologies. Communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, along with Emotional Intelligence, are essential for building effective relationships and managing emotions in uncertain situations. Entrepreneurship is crucial for fostering innovation and managing risks, whereas Global Citizenship is important for understanding cross-cultural perspectives and social responsibility. Problem Solving and Team-working are identified as vital for facilitating collaboration and developing solutions to complex problems. The study underscores the interconnectedness of these competencies and their collective importance in equipping students to address the challenges of the VUCA era. By providing a detailed understanding of these competencies, this research contributes valuable insights into the skills that students need to succeed in a rapidly changing and uncertain world.

Abstract

This research is a systematic literature review that aims to analyze the role of game adaptation or gamification in learning to strengthen digital literacy. Using the SLR method, this research identifies, synthesizes, and analyzes relevant scientific articles about the use of game adaptations in the context of learning digital literacy. This review explores how game elements and principles, such as point systems, challenges, competitions, and prizes, are applied in learning to improve students' digital literacy. In addition, this study analyzes the impact of using game adaptations on motivation, engagement, active participation, and the development of students' digital literacy skills. The implications of these SLR findings provide important insights for educators, curriculum developers, and researchers in designing effective learning strategies to increase students' digital literacy.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is important for students to have in the mathematics learning process. However, the fact is that students still have difficulty creating novelty when given a problem. This research analyzes students' creative thinking abilities regarding high, medium, and low learning independence in mathematics. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-pottest design. The subjects of this research were 20 grade 12 students at an Ira College Foundation High School in Medan. The research instruments used were mathematical thinking tests, scales, and attitudes about high, medium, and low learning independence. Data was collected using questionnaires, tests, and interviews. This research shows that subjects with high learning independence can fulfill the creative thinking indicators of fluency, micro, and novelty aspects so they are classified as very creative. Subjects with learning independence are meeting the creative thinking indicators, aspects of fluency, and desire to be creative. Meanwhile, subjects with low learning independence only meet the creative thinking indicators for the fluency aspect and are therefore classified as less creative. These findings complement research related to the importance of independent learning in explaining variations in students' creative thinking abilities

Abstract

Elementary School is one of the levels of Education that has an important task in shaping the character of students. We see that the current generation looks very lacking in character. This phenomenon gives encouragement to the government to change the purpose of the education curriculum towards the formation of student character. The purpose of PKM is to find the values needed by teachers for the formation of students' character by using the talking stick model. The talking stick model is a learning model that gives students the freedom to be able to act freely as far as possible without coercion so that they can develop confidence. This model is expected to shape the character of students. The method of this activity is a lecture and question and answer about the socialized stick takling model. Socialization of models that can be used as one of the alternatives in learning in order to shape the characteristics of students. Counseling on the socialization of the talking stick model was carried out at SDN 101808 Candirejo Village, Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency. This counseling activity is expected to shape the characteristics of students since gaining knowledge at school. The results of this counseling are expected so that teachers can shape the character of students to be better by using the talking stick model.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) is one of the activities of the Tridarma of Tinngi College. In this case, this PKM activity was carried out in one of the junior high schools in Tanjung Morawa, namely SMP IT AL IKHWAN Tanjung Morawa. The purpose of this PKM activity is to assist teachers in socializing learning media based on Acehnese culture that can be used in learning, especially for students at the junior high school level. This activity aims to enable teachers to apply Acehl culture-based learning media so that learning in the classroom is more attractive to students. This PKM activity was carried out at SMP IT AL IKHWAN Tanjung Morawa., and was attended by 12 teachers offline (face-to-face). This activity is carried out in 3 stages. The first stage introduces culture-based learning media. The second stage demonstrates the preparation of digital learning media, and the last stage allows teachers to apply learning media in the classroom. The output targets that will be achieved in PKM activities are: (1) teachers can understand Acehnese culture-based learning media, (2) improve teachers' pedagogic competence, (3) teachers can compile digital-based learning media, (4) teachers can apply learning media in the classroom, (5) increase students' interest in learning. The implementation of this PKM went smoothly because all participants were active in the PKM activities and could apply it during the learning process in the classroom.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at Jisda Yala Thailad. The learning process at Jisda Yala, Thailand has not been maximized in understanding ethnomathematics-based numeracy. This is because there is still little application of ethnomathematics-based numeracy. The biggest reason in this situation is the gap in understanding in solving ethnomathematics-based numeracy problems. The purpose of this service is that by training teachers to understand ethnomathematics-based numeracy, it is hoped that students at Jisda Yala, Thailand, will better understand ethnomathematics-based numeracy in the teaching and learning process. In the implementation of the program, the method of approach offered is a participatory approach. In the sense that the proposer team and partners are proactively involved in every activity. In addition, the solution approach used to solve the two main problems faced by partners is the implementation of inservice in the form of training and mentoring. The main target of the assistance is the understanding of numeracy based on ethnomathematics.

Abstract

Covid 19 has caused setbacks in several sectors, including the economic sector. Covid 19 has had a lot of bad impacts on the economic sector such as many layoffs, many prohibitions in carrying out activities outside so that these things cause a decline in the economic sector. So that with the impact, the KKN-PPM team initiated the implementation of creating a healthy environment which is a dream for all communities. This KKN-PPM activity was carried out for 3 weeks where lecturers collaborated with students to create a live plant pharmacy and mini fruit garden for the people of Bengkel village. This pharmacy of live plants such as ginger, turmeric, lemongrass and cassava trees as well as mango, dragon fruit and guava fruit plants. The placement of this plant on the side of the roadside of the Protocol of Perbaungan District, Bengkel Village The goal is to make the environment comfortable. Even though it is a coronavirus pandemic, it does not hinder community service activities on the campus of the University Muslim Nusnatara Al-Washliyah. This activity ran smoothly and very well, because it was supported by the village head and the people of Perbaungan sub-district of Bengkel village

Abstract

The learning that is currently carried out often uses monotonous learning methods so that the learning process is boring. In the era of industry 4.0, teachers are expected to carry out innovative learning using methods, interesting learning media tailored to learning objectives and teachers are also guided to be able to integrate learning with ICT, Culture so that students can understand the teaching material well and understand the usefulness of the material taught in daily life. Based on this, it is necessary for the PkM Team of Muslim Nusantara University to share knowledge about the learning model by using Tangram and Ice Breaking Tournaments to teachers at SD Negeri 106165 Marindal I, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The result of the implementation of this PkM is that the teachers at SD Negeri 106165 Maridal I have understood and know how to use the Tangram and Ice breaking Tournament learning methods so that the learning implementation process is more interesting. Teachers at SD Negari 106165 Marindal I are very happy and enthusiastic in following the direction and guidance from the PkM Team of University Muslim Nusnatara Al-Washliyah.

Abstract

Sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penggunaan Wordwall sebagai alat pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa di SMP Kasih Ibu Pasar Dua Patumbak. Dalam era pendidikan yang semakin berkembang, teknologi pembelajaran menjadi hal yang penting untuk menarik perhatian siswa serta meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Metode sosialisasi dilaksanakan melalui workshop, pengenalan, dan praktik langsung penggunaan aplikasi Wordwall di kelas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Wordwall dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi dan partisipasi siswa selama proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas XI FKK 2 SMK Negeri 3 Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025 setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan berbantuan media Quizziz. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI FKK 2 SMK Negeri 3 Medan yang berjumlah 30 orang. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan berbantuan media Quizziz untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas XI FKK 2 SMK Negeri 3 Medan tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Sebelum memberikan tindakan, terlebih dahulu diberikan tes kemampuan awal untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data pada tes awal, terdapat 5 siswa (16,67%) telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan sedangkan 25 siswa (83,33%) belum tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 57,41. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada siklus I, terdapat 14 siswa (46,67%) telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan sedangkan 16 siswa (53,33%) belum tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 65,83. Pada siklus II terdapat 27 siswa (90%) telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan sedangkan 3 siswa (10%) belum tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 80,83. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelas sudah memenuhi indikator keberhasilan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan berbantuan media Quizziz dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas XI FKK 2 SMK Negeri 3 Medan tahun ajaran 2024/2025.
