Abstract

Stunting is a significant problem that Indonesia must overcome to produce an excellent cognitive and physical development generation. Stunting is a problem in Bireuen Regency, Indonesia, and must be managed because it has long-term impacts on the future generation. This research is very important to carry out, until now there has been no research on the influence of clean water sources on the incidence of stunting, especially in Bireuen Regency. Research conducted in 137 developing countries shows that clean water sources influence the incidence of stunting. Poor access to clean water the incidence of infectious diseases, so that energy and nutrition for growth and development are diverted by the body's resistance to infectious diseases. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of clean water source and latrine ownership on stunting occurrence. The study used an analytical, quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The research approach to analyze the influence of clean water sources on the incidence of stunting in Pandrah District used quantitative analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique in this research was a total population of 62 people. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately, univariate analysis was descriptive while bivariate analysis used the chi-square test to analyze the influence of each independent variable and dependent variable. The research results showed that clean water source had a significant influence on stunting occurrence, with a p-value of 0.002 (which is less than the significance level of 0.05). It could be concluded that clean water source significantly influences stunting occurrence.

Abstract

Patients with hypertension and diabetes in Indonesia tend to increase every year. Diet and activity patterns are one of the factors causing the disease in addition to heredity. This study aims to determine the level of sugar and blood pressure in workers in open and closed spaces. The sampling technique uses quota sampling, namely 100 respondents who work in open spaces and 100 respondents who work in closed spaces. The instrument used to measure blood pressure is a digital tension meter and to measure blood sugar levels using an easy touch glucometer, both measurements are taken on the same day for each respondent. Data collection was carried out for approximately 3 months, from August to November 2024 in Bireuen Regency. The results of the study were obtained by univariate and bivariate data analysis, univariate results obtained the majority of respondents' age in closed rooms 38-52 years (50%), open spaces 39-53 years (51%). The history of hypertension of respondents in the closed room has no history (78%), open space has no history (68%). There was no history of diabetes in the closed room (68%), no history in the open room (82%), the frequency distribution of respondents' pressure in the closed room (84%) was normal, in the open room (74%) was normal. The results of the examination of blood sugar levels of respondents in the closed room were normal (94%), in the open room normal (77%). The results of bivariate analysis with SPSS through Independent T test for blood pressure of workers in closed and open spaces there is no significant difference with a value of 0.072 (>0.05), and there is a significant difference between blood sugar levels of workers in closed spaces and workers in open spaces with a value of 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: the majority of blood pressure and blood sugar levels are within normal limits and there are differences in blood sugar levels between workers in closed spaces and workers in open spaces.

Abstract

The liver is an organ that plays many roles in the body's metabolism. These include macronutrient metabolism, blood volume regulation, immune system support, lipid and cholesterol homeostasis, and breakdown of xenobiotic compounds, including various drugs. Hepatitis is one of the many diseases that is a major world health threat. One of the plants used to prevent and treat hepatitis is turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val) whose main content is curcumin. The Community Service Activities will be carried out on April 08 2023 at Air Putih Village, Tuah Madani District, Pekanbau City, Riau Province. The aim of this community service is to increase public understanding and awareness about the treatment and prevention of liver disease by using herbal plants and to see the level of public knowledge about diseases that attack the liver so it is hoped that this community service can improve the level of public health which will certainly help reduce the number of sufferers. liver disease. From the results of this service activity, it can be seen that the level of knowledge of each individual is different. The number of respondents obtained was 50 respondents, and the results showed that the majority had a good level of knowledge about liver disease after counseling and providing education with leaflets.

Abstract

Introducing the concept of numbers is important from an early age because it is the basis of mathematics, which consists of counting, mentioning objects with numbers, connecting objects with numbers, comparing, recognizing, and writing numbers. This research aims to develop educational game tools to introduce the concept of numbers in children aged 4-5 years. This type of research and development (R&D) uses the 4-D development model, which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Data was collected by using observation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed from the results of questionnaires distributed to expert validators to assess the media developed, as well as the results of observations of children's number concept abilities during the field test. The results showed that the educational media developed and named "hand magic" had very feasible criteria for use with the acquisition of a media design validation score of 3.8%, early childhood expert validation of 3.9%, and validation from early childhood teachers of 3.9%. The results of trial observations for small groups were 44% with Developing as Expected (DE) criteria, 56% with Developing Very Well (DW) criteria, and for large groups obtained a value of 18.6% with Starting to Develop (SD) criteria, 47.9% with DE criteria, and 29.3% with DW criteria. Therefore, hand magic media has contributed to helping young learner teachers introduce number concepts in early childhood. More research topics are suggested, along with some challenges of utilizing a play method with the hand magic educational game in the classroom.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan faktor utama dalam membentuk perkembangan individu dan peradaban. Motivasi belajar siswa menjadi salah satu elemen krusial dalam pencapaian hasil belajar yang optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur dalam pengambilan informasi-informasi yang didapat dan yang akan dibahas, pendekatan ini juga digunakan untuk menganalisis dan merangkum informasi dari temuan yang sudah ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan antara kompetensi guru, gaya mengajar, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Dalam konteks pembelajaran, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik internal maupun eksternal, seperti kompetensi guru dan metode pengajaran yang diterapkan. Penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru yang tinggi dan variasi gaya mengajar yang diterapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, lingkungan kelas yang kondusif dan suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan juga berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya motivasi siswa. Dengan keterampilan mengajar yang tepat, guru dapat merangsang minat dan usaha siswa untuk belajar. Oleh karena itu, kompetensi guru dan gaya mengajar yang efektif sangat berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, yang pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mereka.

Abstract

Stunting is a significant problem that Indonesia must overcome to produce an excellent cognitive and physical development generation. Stunting is a problem in Bireuen Regency, Indonesia, and must be managed because it has long-term impacts on the future generation. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2017, Indonesia had the third-highest stunting prevalence rate globally, at 32.6%. Even though the stunting prevalence rate in Indonesia decreased from 37.2% in 2013 to 27.7% in 2018, it is still far from the WHO target of not exceeding 20%. Therefore, the government is making efforts to rates s rate e reduce the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia by issuing The Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia’s President Number 72 the Year 2021 about the acceleration of stunting decrease. Based on the result of a nutrition case study of Indonesia in 2021, Aceh’s stunting rate reached 33,18% until it was included among the seven provinces with the highest stunting cases in Indonesia. One of the regencies in Aceh Province that needs immediate solutions to solve stunting is Bireuen Regency. The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of personal hygiene on stunting occurrence. The study used an analytical, quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. This method aims to analyse the impact of personal hygiene on stunting occurrence in Pandrah Sub District Bireuen Regency. The sample selection technique in this research was the entire population, namely 62 people. Based on the research conducted in Pandrah Sub District, Bireuen Regency, the research results showed that personal hygiene had a significant influence on stunting occurrence, with a p-value of 0.001 (which is less than the significance level of 0.05). It could be concluded that personal hygiene significantly influences stunting occurrence.

Abstract

Students' misconceptions pose a significant challenge to secondary school learning. Misconceptions are an inaccurate understanding of a scientific concept. Various factors often contribute to this phenomenon, such as the teacher's delivery of the material, the use of learning resources, and students' initial understanding, shaped by everyday experiences that may not align with scientific concepts. The type of research is qualitative research. This research involved seven junior high school students from class VIII. We used written tests and interviews as data collection techniques. The instrument used in this research was the students' misconception test questions. The data collected in this research is student misconception data obtained when students work on questions. The research utilizes mathematical questions related to number patterns as its tools. The analysis of student misconceptions focuses on examining the students' comprehension of the questions and the outcomes of their assignments. The results of the research show that there are misconceptions that occur among students regarding the fifth pattern image. These misconceptions include classificational misconceptions, then there are misconceptions regarding completing tables on apple trees and durian trees. These misconceptions include correlational misconceptions, as well as misconceptions regarding how to complete tables on apple trees and durian trees. One type of correlational and theoretical misconception is the belief that the number of apple trees equals the number of durian trees based on the value of n. Misconceptions among students about trees tend to increase as the number of apple trees and durian trees increases. These misconceptions encompass both theoretical and correlational aspects. The causes of misconceptions that occur in students can come from teachers and from students themselves. ABSTRAKPembelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah seringkali dihadapkan pada berbagai tantangan, salah satunya adalah miskonsepsi yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Miskonsepsi merupakan pemahaman yang kurang tepat terhadap suatu konsep ilmiah. Fenomena ini sering kali terjadi karena berbagai faktor, termasuk cara penyampaian materi oleh guru, sumber belajar yang digunakan, dan pemahaman awal siswa yang terbentuk dari pengalaman sehari-hari yang tidak selalu sesuai dengan konsep ilmiah. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas VIII, yang diambil 7 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes miskonsepsi siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data miskonsepsi siswa yang diperoleh pada saat siswa mengerjakan soal. Soal yang digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian ini adalah soal matematika tentang pola bilangan. Fokus análisis miskonsepsi siswa pada hasil telaah pemahaman soal oleh siswa dan hasil pekerjaan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa mengenai gambar pola kelima, miskonsepsi ini termasuk jenis miskonsepsi klasifikasional, kemudian miskonsepsi mengenai melengkapi tabel pada pohon apel dan pohon durian, miskonsepsi ini termasuk jenis miskonsepsi korelasional, serta miskonsepsi mengenai cara untuk melengkapi tabel dari pohon apel dan pohon durian, miskonsepsi ini termasuk jenis miskonsepsi korelasional dan teoritikal. Miskonsepsi mengenai nilai n untuk mengetahui banyak pohon apel sama dengan banyak pohon durian, miskonsepsi ini termasuk jenis miskonsepsi korelasional dan teoritikal. Miskonsepsi siswa mengenai pohon yang lebih meningkat antara pohon apel dan pohon durian, miskonsepsi ini termasuk jenis miskonsepsi teoritikal dan korelasional. Penyebab miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa dapat berasal dari guru serta dari siswa itu sendiri.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan berbagai jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa Jabal Nur dari kelas XI-1 MAS ketika mereka menyelesaikan soal matematika dalam bentuk cerita materi barisan dan deret yang menggunakan metode Newman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis dan wawancara. Siswa kelas XI-1 MAS Jabal Nur, totalnya 22 siswa, adalah subjek penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) persentase kesalahan membaca siswa sebesar 46,25%  (b) persentase kesalahan memahami masalah sebesar 77,5%, (c) persentase kesalahan transformasi sebesar 45%, (d) persentase kesalahan keterampilan proses sebesar 45%, dan (e) persentase kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir sebesar 61,25%. Faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan siswa  adalah tidak terlalu memahami maksud dari soal, tidak mengetahui permasalahan yang terdapat pada soal, lupa menuliskan jawaban, terburu-buru dalam menuliskan jawaban, tidak paham dengan rumus yang seharusnya digunakan, tidak teliti dalam melakukan operasi perhitungan, terjadi kesilapan ketika menentukan hasil akhir.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal aljabar bilangan komplek berdasarkan kemampuan matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskripsi kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di Universitas Malikussaleh, tepatnya pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, yang terdiri dari 25 orang mahasiswa sebagai subjek. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kesalahan dari masing- masing subjek dapat disimpulkan bahwa subjek banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal bilangan kompleks, kesalahan yang dilakukan terjadi pada saat subjek menggunakan operasi perkalian, pengurangan dan penjumlahan yang mana materi ini merupakan materi paling dasar dalam pembelajaran matematika dan ada beberapa subjek salah memasukkan nilai yang diketahui pada soal, kemudian ada beberapa subjek yang tidak menentukan hasil akhir sehingga jawabannya dianggap tidak benar. Penyebab mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan tersebut yang ditinjau dari kemampuan matematika diantaranya mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memahami proses operasi perkalian, pengurangan dan penjumlahan yang menjadi materi paling dasar matematika, mahasiswa banyak yang melupakan konsep-konsep dasar matematika tentang operasi perkalian, pengurangan dan penjumlahan, kurangnya latihan mandiri mahasiswa terkait materi dasar matematika dan mahasiswa sering terburu-buru dalam mengerjakan soal dan tidak mengecek ulang jawaban.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) mahasiswa calon guru matematika Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Malikussaleh. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis rancangan penelitian survei. Adapun yang menjadi populasi adalah mahasiswa semester 5 dan 7 yang telah lulus matakuliah yang berkaitan dengan konsep dasar matematika, konsep pedagogik, dan penggunaan ICT. Untuk mengukur TPACK, 44 soal telah disusun berdasarkan indikator masing-masing komponen TPACK. Setelah validasi, hasilnya 37 pertanyaan valid dengan koefisien reliabilitas cronbach alfa 0,590. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Profil Technological Knowledge (TK),  Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), dan  Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) mahasiswa mayoritas berada pada level sedang; (2) Profil Technological Content Knowledge (TCK), Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK), dan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) mahasiswa mayoritas berada pada level rendah; dan (3) Dari tujuh komponen TPACK, ada dua komponen yang lebih menonjol, yaitu PK, dan  PCK. Hasil tersebut menjadi masukan bahwa dalam proses perkuliahan perlu ditekankan pada penguasaan teknologi, materi matematika serta pengintegrasian teknologi.
