Abstract

This study examines the implementation of School Self-Evaluation (SSE) as a strategic initiative to improve educational quality at SD Negeri 1 Kebonharjo, Kendal Regency. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school stakeholders, including the principal, teachers, and school committee members. The findings indicate that the school has initiated a structured SSE process, beginning with data collection and needs analysis, which has led to the formulation of follow-up improvement plans. SSE has been instrumental in identifying institutional strengths and weaknesses, serving as a foundation for targeted quality improvement programs aligned with national education standards. The principal plays a pivotal role in facilitating the evaluation process, conducting academic supervision, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Despite these efforts, the study highlights challenges such as limited parental and committee engagement, as well as the pressures of external accountability. The research highlights the importance of stakeholder capacity-building and the need for enhanced collaboration among school stakeholders to ensure sustainability and impact. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on internal quality assurance mechanisms in primary education, offering practical insights for schools seeking to institutionalize self-evaluation as part of their development strategy

Abstract

Low interest among the younger generation in local culture, particularly in traditional weaving skills, remains a significant concern in the city of Tarakan. Yet, weaving is one of Indonesia’s cultural heritages with high artistic and economic value. In response to this issue, a weaving training program was conducted at Jl. Pangeran Diponegoro RT 23 RW 08, Sebengkok Subdistrict, Central Tarakan, with the aim of fostering cultural appreciation among youth while equipping them with productive skills. The activity was held on September 13, 2025, from 13:00 to 16:00 Central Indonesian Time (WITA), at the home of a local resident in Sebengkok. The participants consisted of six male students from grade 10 of a vocational high school and four adult female participants. The methods employed in this program included cultural education, hands-on weaving practice, and documentation. This community engagement activity reflects a comprehensive approach to cultural preservation while also opening economic opportunities for the local community. The program included the introduction of weaving's cultural values, basic skill training, small-scale business mentoring based on woven products, and community development efforts..

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memanfaatkan daun pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius) dan jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia) yang melimpah di Daerah Battu Winangun sebagai bahan utama pembuatan sabun cuci piring ekonomis dan ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui penyuluhan, demonstrasi pembuatan, dan pelatihan langsung kepada ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sabun yang dihasilkan memiliki aroma segar alami dari pandan, daya bersih efektif terhadap lemak dan kotoran berkat asam sitrat serta limonen dari jeruk nipis, serta biaya produksi hanya sekitar 30-40% dari sabun komersial. Indikator keberhasilan mencapai 85% peserta mampu memproduksi secara mandiri, dengan potensi penghematan pengeluaran rumah tangga hingga per bulan dalam satu keluarga. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap produk alami, mengurangi ketergantungan pada bahan kimia sintetis, dan membuka peluang usaha rumahan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine research findings related to teachers' pedagogical competence in facing the challenges and opportunities of learning in an era of educational change. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of a number of relevant scientific articles published in reputable journals. The results of the study indicate that teachers face internal challenges in the form of limited digital competence and literacy, as well as external challenges including infrastructure and curriculum demands. Various studies also reveal an increase in the adoption of learning innovations, such as blended learning, project-based learning, collaborative learning, and the use of digital technology. Technology integration has been shown to have a positive impact on pedagogical effectiveness, particularly in increasing student engagement and understanding, as well as teacher professionalism. Furthermore, teachers' ability to adapt learning strategies to the cultural context, local values, and student characteristics is a crucial factor in achieving meaningful and sustainable learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal incubation time for goat milk kefir that produces the highest antibacterial peptides, and to determine the antibacterial activity of purified goat milk kefir. Protein levels were determined using the microassay method. Kefir, which is known to have the best incubation time for producing the highest antibacterial activity when ultrafiltered with a 10 kDa cut-off membrane, was analyzed for its molecular weight using SDS-PAGE. The antibacterial activity was tested against pathogenic bacteria E. coli and S. aureus. The highest soluble protein content was found in kefir incubated for 36 hours, with a soluble protein content value of 2.75%. The highest antibacterial activity was observed in kefir incubated for 36 hours, with inhibition zones of 15.57 mm against E. coli and 12.10 mm against S. aureus. Goat's milk kefir purified to a molecular weight >10 kDa produced inhibition zones of 69.1 mm against E. coli and 41.3 mm against S. aureus, while goat's milk kefir with a molecular weight <10 kDa did not produce inhibition zones against pathogenic bacteria E. coli and S. aureus. Goat's milk kefir incubated for 36 hours contained six bands. At K>10, which is purified and filtered goat's milk kefir with a molecular weight > 10 kDa, three protein bands were found.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai agama dan moral anak usia dini di TK Negeri Pembina Muaro Jambi. Berdasarkan data observasi di TK Negeri Pembina Muaro Jambi ditemukan bahwa masih rendahnya penerapan nilai-nilai agama dan moral pada diri anak. Permasalahan belum berkembangnya nilai-nilai agama dan moral secara optimal pada diri anak yang disebabkan model pembelajaran konvensional yang masih digunakan, berpusat pada guru dengan metode ceramah yang monoton dan membosankan, anak-anak hanya sekedar dengar tetapi tidak berkesan atau bermakna yang kemudian berpengaruh pada hasil belajar rendah.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Model dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa perkembangan Nilai-Nilai Moral dan Agama anak didik melalui metode demontrasi dengan video pembelajaran, karena jumlah anak didik yang berkembang sangat baik meningkat menjadi 10 anak yang tadinya hanya 2 anak pada siklus I. Dari siklus I dan Siklus II ini ternyata standar pencapaian yang di targetkan yaitu 80 % sudah tercapai untuk anak didik dengan perkembangan sesuai harapan hingga berkembang sangat baik. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran melalui penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif di pendidikan anak usia dini untuk mendukung perkembangan nilai agama dan moral anak.

Abstract

This study examines the management of SIKUAD (Academic Information System) in improving school performance at SMK Negeri 2 Purwodadi. The study is grounded in the premise that the effectiveness of an academic information system depends not only on technological features but also on the quality of managerial processes supporting its implementation. This research aims to analyze the management of SIKUAD based on four management functions, planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, and to identify its direct implications for school performance improvement. A qualitative case study design was employed. The research was conducted from December to February and involved one principal, one vice principal for curriculum, two system operators, five teachers, and three students selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using interactive data analysis supported by triangulation and member checking. The findings indicate that systematic planning through needs analysis and policy formulation ensured initial readiness and minimized administrative errors. Clear organizational structuring facilitated coordination between management, operators, and teachers. The consistent implementation of the system significantly accelerated grade processing, reduced reporting delays, improved real-time monitoring of learning activities, and decreased administrative complaints. Continuous monitoring and evaluation strengthened teacher discipline, data accuracy, and institutional accountability. The study concludes that well-managed SIKUAD contributes directly to administrative efficiency, transparency, and overall school performance improvement.

Abstract

Juvenile offenders frequently exhibit significant deficits in self-control, escalating the risk of recidivism and impeding successful social reintegration. The restrictive environment of juvenile correctional institutions further strains emotional regulation, highlighting the critical need for structured psychological interventions. This study investigated the efficacy of the Self-control for Pupils–Reflective Journaling (STOP-RJ) program in enhancing self-control among incarcerated youth at a correctional facility in Jakarta, Indonesia. Utilizing a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, the study involved 22 male adolescent detainees (aged 14–18 years). Participants were selected via non-random convenience sampling based on baseline self-regulation deficits. Self-control was assessed using a validated Indonesian adaptation of the Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS). The STOP-RJ intervention encompassed six structured sessions (30–45 minutes each), integrating psychoeducation, daily emotion identification, thought-behavior mapping, implementation intentions (if-then strategies), reflective journaling, and individual mentoring. Due to the non-normal distribution of the posttest data, a Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test was employed for analysis. Results indicated a statistically significant and large-magnitude improvement in self-control following the intervention (Z = -4.11, p < .001, r = .88). Participants demonstrated consistent score increases from pretest (M = 25.91, SD = 3.99) to posttest (M = 33.95, SD = 2.52). These findings underscore the STOP-RJ program as a promising, evidence-based psychological intervention for strengthening self-regulation among at-risk adolescents, offering substantial implications for rehabilitation and social reintegration frameworks within correctional settings
