Abstract

The library is a place where a lot of information and knowledge is collected. Inside the library there are also several facilities to support the course of operations carried out as well as the attraction of the library itself so that users come to visit. The purpose of this study is to provide insight into one of the facilities in the library that can attract the attention of users. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection was carried out by visiting the Bina Darma Palembang University library and conducting research at one of the facilities provided by the library, namely coffee corner. The results obtained are that the coffee corner facility in the Bina Darma University Palembang library is not appreciated by users because there is no information or display static that explain whether the facility is for the public or only for librarians. This is due to the limited paper cups provided beside the dispenser. Even though it is located close to the user’s reading table, the user feels hesistant to use this facility.

Abstract

Human papillomavirus (HPV) merupakan virus menular seksual yang dapat menyebabkan kutil dan kanker. Hingga saat ini, telah teridentifikasi lebih dari 200 jenis HPV, namun sekitar 40 diantaranya berkaitan dengan gangguan kesehatan pada organ seksual. Setiap jenis HPV dapat memicu penyakit yang berbeda. Berbagai faktor risiko dapat mempengaruhi infeksi HPV, termasuk perilaku seks dan sistem imun tubuh. Pada ibu hamil, saat persalinan dapat terjadi penularan infeksi HPV kepada bayi. Selain itu, kondisi imunokompromais, seperti HIV, dapat mempengaruhi keparahan infeksi HPV. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan informasi, motivasi dan pencegahan infeksi virus HPV bagi kader di Posyandu Sumolawang Kabupaten Mojokerto. Metode pengabdian ini adalah penyuluhan Kegiatan Penyuluhan Pemberian Vaksin HPV di Puskesmas Puri Kecamatan Puri Kabupaten Mojokerto pada tanggal 19 Februari 2025. Untuk menambah pemahaman, dilakukan pembagian leaflet tentang vaksin HPV dan melakukan sesi tanya jawab bagi peserta penyuluhan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini berjalan lancar dan respons peserta penyuluhan baik dan antusias memperhatikan. Penyuluhan tentang pemberian vaksin HPV dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan infeksi virus HPV di Puskesmas Puri Mojokerto.

Abstract

This research focuses on revitalizing local culture through the development of creative dances based on the traditional game of Jarak-Distance Antum in Jambi Province. The traditional game of Distance-Distance Antum which has the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and sportsmanship, has been adapted into a form of creative dance. The purpose of this research is to preserve and reintroduce local cultural values to the younger generation through dance. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. The data obtained was analyzed to identify cultural elements, movements, and values contained in the Antum Distance game which was adapted into the form of creative dance. Cultural revitalization through creative dance is expected to be an effective means of maintaining cultural heritage in the midst of the challenges of globalization and modernization. Thus, the traditional game-based creation dance of the Antum Distance not only serves as entertainment, but also as a tool for sustainable cultural education.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the types of students' learning activities, analyze the levels of learning activities, and analyze students' learning achievements in science lessons in terms of learning activities. This research was conducted at SDN 111/I Muara Bulian, involving one teacher and 28 class V students. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Research data was obtained through observations of the learning process in science subjects, interviews with the teacher and three class V students, and assessment of students' test results. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques. The research results show that students' learning activities in class consist of 8 types, namely visual, oral, listening, writing, drawing, motoric, mental and emotional activities. Learning activities carried out by students have different percentage levels. Based on the results of observations, it is known that there are students who have met the learning activity indicators, but there are also students who have not met the indicator criteria so that visual activities obtained a percentage of 78.6%, oral activities 69%, listening activities 79.7%, writing activities 85.7%, drawing activities 75%, motor activities 77.5%, mental activities 67.9%, and emotional activities 67.8%. The learning achievements achieved by each student also vary. Students who are actively involved in the learning process get satisfactory learning achievements while students who are passive get unsatisfactory learning achievements. So, these learning activities influence the learning achievements obtained by students at the end of each lesson. This research provides a deeper understanding of learning achievement in terms of learning activities in science subjects. The results of the research can support student involvement in the learning process in science subjects so that student learning achievement can improve well.

Abstract

Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) berkontribusi pada PDB sebesar 61,97% atau sekitar Rp 8,5 triliun dan menyediakan banyak lapangan pekerjaan. Sektor kuliner memiliki kontribusi sebesar 30% dari pendapatan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif. UKM XYZ merupakan salah satu UKM kuliner yang mengalami pertumbuhan yang pesat namun belum mengimplementasikan sistem kompensasi yang dapat menarik dan mempertahankan SDM yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis compensable factors yang sesuai dengan UKM XYZ dan menyusun sistem kompensasi berbasis job grading. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif melalui pendekatan Hay Method. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa ada 10 compensable factor yang diterapkan UKM XYZ, job grading dengan metode given membuat UKM XYZ memiliki lima grade jabatan. Grade I terdiri terdiri dari jabatan kasir dan waitress. Grade II terdiri dari outlet leader, staff central kitchen, dan staff admin. Kemudian untuk grade III terdiri dari jabatan staff tax, dan staf finance. Grade IV terdiri dari jabatan area manager. Terakhir, grade V terdapat jabatan general manager finance, general manager central kitchen, dan general manager operational.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi informasi tidak hanya terbatas di tempat kerja tetapi juga dalam aspek kehidupan lainnya seperti sekolah. PenggunaanTeknologi informasi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan sumber daya untuk sekolah baik dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar maupun administrasi sekolah seperti dalam pembuatan raport. SMP Negeri 2 Cikarang Barat membutuhkan adanya sistem informasi untuk mendukung dan mempermudah dalam pembuatan laporan nilai. Belum tersedianya sistem informasi yang sesuai dengan proses pembelajaran yang sedang berjalan menyebabkan masih adanya kesenjangan dalam kegiatan penyusunan laporan seperti kurang efektifnya pekerjaan, lambatnya proses penyusunan, sampai tentang waktu dan biaya yang dibutuhkan. Berdasarkan penelitian, kepustakaan, dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan telah dilakukan, maka dirancang sebuah sistem informasi pengolahan nilai dengan metode waterfall menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah yang ada. Sistem informasi pengolahan nilai memudahkan guru, wali kelas, atau bagian pengajaran dalam data pengolahan dan nilai siswa untuk penyusunan laporan dan mendukung kegiatan administrasi lainnya serta proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Manajemen waktu peserta didik kelas XI IPS di SMA Muhammadiyah Toboali masih menjadi permasalahan, dimana dapat diketahui bahwa peserta didik kelas XI IPS kurang manajemen waktu dengan baik. Adapun ciri-ciri rendahnya manajemen waktu yang terjadi di kelas XI IPS SMA Muhammadiyah Toboali yaitu peserta didik datang ke sekolah tidak tepat waktu, dan tidak menyelesaikan tugas dengan tepat waktu. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah manajemen waktu peserta didik kelas XI IPS yaitu dengan konseling individual. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling individual dalam mengatasi masalah manajemen waktu peserta didik kelas XI IPS di SMA Muhammadiyah Toboali. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 peserta didik yang terdiri dari 10 kelas eksperimen dan 10 kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yaitu uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji Independent Samples T Test. Hasil uji hipotesis yang menggunakan bantuan software SPSS 24 diperoleh Sig < α yaitu 0,002 < dari 0,05. Artinya terdapat pengaruh H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak sehingga dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dalam mengatasi masalah manajemen waktu peserta didik kelas XI IPS di SMA Muhammadiyah Toboali.

Abstract

Sliced cheese refers to a type of processed cheese that iseither molded or cut into thin slices. The addation of corn oil intoprocessed cheese formulations is anticipated to enhance thephysical properties, overall quality, and acceptability of slicedcheese products. The objective of this study was to investigate theimpact of varying concentrations of corn oil on specific attributesof sliced cheese, namely hardness, melting time, and sensoryacceptability. An experimental approach was employed, utilizing aCompletely Randomized Design (CRD) with four levels of corn oiladdition: P0 (0%), P1 (5%), P2 (10%), and P3 (15%), with eachtreatment replicated five times. Data obtained from physicalanalyses were subjected to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). In theevent of statistically significant differences, Duncan's MultipleRange Test was applied. Sensory acceptability data were evaluatedusing the Kruskal-Wallis test, and when necessary, furtheranalyzed with the Mann-Whitney U test. The results indicated thatthe treatment with 15% corn oil (P3) significantly affected meltingtime (P < 0,05), yielding a melting duration of 13.56 minutes.However, corn oil addition did not significantly influence hardness(P > 0,05), which measured 60,08 N/m², nor did it affectacceptability. Sensory scores for color 3,90 (liked), aroma 3,85(liked), texture 3,55 (liked), taste 3,35 (liked), and total acceptance3,50 (liked).

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan kain Sasirangan dengan teknik tie-dye di SDN 2 Sungai Dua. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 Agustus 2025 melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu pemberian materi tentang alat dan bahan yang digunakan serta penjelasan langkah-langkah pembuatan Sasirangan, demonstrasi praktik langsung oleh tim pengabdian, praktik langsung oleh siswa untuk mencoba membuat Sasirangan sesuai teknik yang diajarkan, dan evaluasi hasil karya siswa yang diberikan apresiasi untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan praktik, kreativitas, dan pengetahuan siswa tentang budaya lokal. Siswa mampu menghasilkan motif kain Sasirangan yang beragam dan menarik, memahami tahapan pembuatannya, serta memperoleh pengalaman estetik dan artistik secara langsung. Kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan rasa bangga terhadap budaya Banjar dan kesadaran akan pentingnya melestarikan warisan budaya. Disarankan agar kegiatan serupa dilaksanakan secara berkala dan dikembangkan menjadi program pembelajaran berkelanjutan di sekolah, guna memperkuat pendidikan karakter, kreativitas, dan kecintaan terhadap budaya lokal sejak dini.

Abstract

This research aims at finding out whether: (1) Peer Tutoring technique is more effective than Direct Instruction in teaching reading to the second semester students of English department of UNISKA in the Academic Year of 2011/2012; (2) the second semester students of English department of UNISKA who have high self-esteem have better reading skill than those having low self-esteem; and (3) there is interaction between teaching techniques and students’ self-esteem in teaching reading. The method which was applied in this research was an experimental study. The research was conducted at UNISKA Kediri in the academic year of 2011/2012. The population of the research was the second semester students of UNISKA Kediri. Two samples were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. Class B1 was used as the experimental class and class B2 as the control class. Each class consists of 22 students. The steps for the research were: (1) distributing self-esteem questionnaire to know students’ self-esteem; (2) applying teaching techniques to the students; (3) distributing post test; and (4) analyzing the students’ reading ability. The data were obtained from self-esteem questionnaire and reading test. Furthermore, to analyze the data, the researcher applied descriptive and inferential statistics using ANOVA and Tukey’s test. The result of the study leads to the conclusions that: (1) Peer Tutoring is more effective than Direct Instruction to teach reading for the second semester students of UNISKA Kediri in the Academic Year of 2011/2012; (2) The students who have high self-esteem have better reading ability than those who have low self-esteem; and (3) There is an interaction between teaching techniques and students’ self-esteem to teach reading at the second semester students of UNISKA Kediri. Finally, the results of this research imply that Peer Tutoring is more effective than Direct Instruction to teach reading.
