Pengotan Village is Bali Aga’s villages which located in district of Bangli, Regency of Bangli, which has art in the form of sacred architectural art. The era of globalization that encourages people to renovate traditional houses more modern. This research studies how long this traditional house can be maintained the existence. This study was intended 1) To give the people a knowledge of the traditional house of the Pengotan Villages as one of the cultural heritage that has historical, artistic, traditional, and scientific values, 2) To find out the functions and factors that maintain the existence of the traditional house of Pengotan Village. This study uses qualitative research methods with the main way of collecting data is by observation and interviews. The theory used in this study is the structural functional theory of Robert K Merton. The results of the study reveal that the existence of traditional houses in Pengotan Village is still preserved even though a small part of the traditional houses have been renovated with newer innovations but still have the same shape and meaning.

The aims of this article is to explain relevance and contribution of Anthonio Gramsci views to Anthropology and cultural studies. Method in this study used liberary research. The result of this study that the cretical views of Anthonio Gramsci as neo-Marxism exponen are very important and relevance of antrophology and cultural studies, especially views of relationship between political, power and cultural, beside economy infrastructure factor as analysis based.

The behavior of today's society does not carry out a healthy lifestyle, especially in urban communities. The development of the world of agricultural technology and instant food processing has caused fundamental changes to diet. Technological sophistication, especially in urban areas, makes people's work easier, so that people are very dependent on technology in various ways. This condition causes the physical activity of urban communities to decline. This can cause health problems, one of which is obesity. Urban people who are starting to realize that their health is compromised, finally decide to join a health community such as the “Mega Fit Club”. Mega Fit Club is a place for urban people who want to change their lifestyle to be healthier. The theory used in this study is the symbolic interaction theory of Herbet Blumer. This theory is used to examine the implications of the existence of the "Mega Fit Club" community on the lifestyle of urban communities. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and document studies. Data analysis used interpretive descriptive analysis. The results showed that the existence of the Mega Fit Club was able to have implications for the lifestyle of urban communities. These implications are positive which makes them healthier and more active in their daily lives. In addition, changes in their lifestyle in the Mega Fit Club also have implications for their body condition, namely the body becomes healthier, reduces complaints of disease experienced by urban communities, relieves stress, increases enthusiasm for living a healthy life, and improves appearance by obtaining an ideal body and become slimmer.

Parenting is a process to improve and support the child's development in shaping the child's character. In general, parents want their children to have noble character, character and always healthy, parents have a role in shaping the personality and self-discipline of a child, but vice versa in incomplete families or single parents. In Malacca Village there are relatively many single parents in caring for their children. The research aims to find out: (a) What is the role of single parents in the formation of children's character in Malacca Village and (b) What are the implications of the role of single parents in the formation of children's characters in Malacca Village. This research uses the basic structural personality theory and socialization theory. Ethnographic research models with qualitative research types, including data collection techniques through observation, interviews, literature studies, and data analysis to process field findings. The results showed that the phenomenon of parenting single parents in the formation of children's character in the Malacca Village there are three forms of parenting namely democratic parenting, authoritarian parenting, and permissive parenting, this is due to factors namely, values ??and norms, pattern processes foster care, the role of a large family in caring for children of single parents, a form of parenting. The implications are educational factors, religious factors, social relations factors.

In the mid 20th century, tourism has been reached by technology, especially with the internet network. One of the changes that is the result of technology evolution is the developing model of production and consumption of goods and services, called the sharing economy. One of the successful example of sharing economy technology that is currently popular with tourists is Airbnb. The specific objective of this research is to understand and describe thoroughly the sharing economy and its implications for cross-cultural communication of hosts and guests in in North Kuta District. Rhenald Kasali, Professor of FE UI said that "Sharing the economy is an attitude of participation in economic activities that creates value, independence and prosperity". Deddy Maulana (in Darmastuti, 2013: 3) states that in a matter of communication, harmony is the meaning of conversation. According to E.B Taylor, what is called culture is a form of method used to survive that is owned by certain individuals / groups and then passed on from generation to generation. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research. The role of the host in giving an impression of local life is very important in order to create a good impression on the eyes of guests. Interact and communicate with locals who help these guests at being able to see things from different point of view. With the role of the host in introducing local life to the guests, it will lead to an understanding in which generally everyone has different views about the world and culture in each community. When hosts and guests communicate, the other party hears different opinions, this, then, builds mutual respect, respect and compromise. For foreign guests, the cross-cultural communication created Broadens insight and understanding of political, religion and social status issues that affect the lives of local residents.

This study discusses about the behavior of the Simatibung Village community in seeking of alternative or traditional medicine. In this study, the author using an ethnographic method with the theory of Health Belief Model and Health Seeking Behavior. From the data that has been obtained, there are several factors that influence the behavior of the Simatibung Village community, ranging from access, economy to trust, from these indicators people tend to choose traditional medicine than modern medicine in health centers.

Ondel-ondel merupakan kesenian tradisional khas DKI Jakarta dan menjadi kebanggan masyarakat. Ondel-ondel adalah kesenian budaya Betawi yang diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi. Ondel-ondel saat ini mengalami perubahan fungsi dari yang menolak bala sampai menjadi alat untuk mata pencaharian seperti di Kelurahan Warakas ini yang terletak di Kecamatan Tanjung Priok, Jakarta Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik penentuan informan, observasi, wawancara, studi kepustakaan dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa ondel-ondel di Kelurahan mengalami transformasi dalam bentuk pakaian, pengiring ondel-ondel, alat musik serta fungsinya.

Masyarakat Subetnik Ndora seringkali diperhadapkan masalah ekologi seperti iklim kering dan letak geografis desa yang berada kaki Gunung Manungae (habitat babi hutan), menjadi salah satu ancaman terjadinya gagal panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan tradisi dai dan memahami fungsi serta makna tradisi dai pada masyarakat Subetnik Ndora. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif, melalui cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil temuan penelitian ini berupa proses pelaksanaan tradisi dai yang dikelompokkan ke dalam tiga tahapan yaitu tahapan persiapan, tahapan dai, dan tahapan penyelesaian. Temuan lain dari penelitian ini juga berupa fungsi dan makna yang terkandung dalam tradisi dai. Fungsi yang dimaksudkan berupa tradisi dai sebagai pengendalian hama (fungsi manifest), serta fungsi-fungsi lain yang mengikuti fungsi tersebut (fungsi laten) yaitu fungsi ekologi, fungsi ekonomi, fungsi identitas sosial, dan fungsi gender. Pelaksanaan tradisi dai memberikan dampak positif dalam menciptakan solidaritas sosial yang tercermin melalui keterlibatan masyarakat dalam rangkaian tahapan pelaksanaannya, mencerminkan kehidupan masyarakat yang berkeadilan baik itu terhadap sesama maupun terhadap lingkungan, serta memberikan dampak bagi keseimbangan ekosistem dan pelestarian dalam konteks lingkungan maupun upacara budaya yang memiliki nilai kearifan lokal.
