Abstract

Medical emergencies, especially those related to trauma and cardiac arrest, require fast and precise handling by health workers, especially nurses in hospitals. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of nurses in handling emergency patients through Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) Training. This training includes theoretical explanations and direct practice related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, trauma management, and emergency case simulations. The training methods used include interactive lectures, skill demonstrations, and clinical scenario-based simulations. Evaluations were conducted to measure the increase in participants' knowledge and skills before and after training. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills in handling trauma and cardiac arrest cases. With this training, it is hoped that nurses can be more alert and professional in dealing with emergency conditions, thereby improving the quality of health services and patient safety. The continuation of this training program is recommended to ensure that nurses' competence is maintained and developed in accordance with developments in science and emergency service standards.

Abstract

Consist The Mughal Empire, also known as the Moguls or Moghuls, was a state that ruled Afghanistan, Balochistan, and most of India between 1526 AD and 1857 AD. Mughal is the Indo-Aryan version of the word Mongol, as it was part of the Timurid dynasty from Central Asia. Officially the Mughal people were Muslims. In this period three great kings were formed: the Ottomans in Türkiye, the Shafavids in Persia, and the Mughals in India. The Mughals controlled the entire region, causing significant changes in the Islamic world. Babur was the first to establish an Islamic kingdom in India, and his son, Nashiruddin Humayun (1530-1539 AD), succeeded him. Muslims in India are considered a minority, and their influence is felt across various religions. Muslims were considered a minority within Islam, and their influence was further spread by Mughal rule. It was during this period that Islam spread and developed in the Indian Subcontinent. In terms of methodology, historical research is the study of various historical sources, both primary and secondary. From the paper presented, we can see the contribution of the Mughal Empire to the development of Islam in the Indian Subcontinent in various aspects at that time, including; Politics, Education, Science, Literature, Architecture, Technology and City Development.

Abstract

Dynamic company dynamics make human resources continue to innovate and be efficient in order to provide the best performance. The conflict between work demands and family responsibilities is increasingly gaining attention in the context of modern life. When work forces you to sacrifice time and attention that should be given to your family, conflict arises, causing a significant impact on an individual's emotional and physical well-being. Emotional exhaustion, which reflects a state of physical and mental exhaustion due to ongoing pressure, and job stress, which occurs due to a mismatch between job demands and the individual's ability to meet them, are the two main consequences of this conflict. This research method is quantitative using multiple linear regression analysis. The research results showed that work-family conflict, emotional exhaustion and work stress had an influence on performance.

Abstract

This research examines the physical characteristics and textual content of the Melak Pare manuscript, a significant cultural artifact within Sundanese heritage. The research aims to enhance public understanding of this manuscript by providing a detailed description and analysis. Employing historical methodology, including heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography, this research draws on primary data from the original Melak Pare manuscript housed at the Sri Baduga Museum in Bandung, as well as secondary sources such as books, scholarly articles, and related documents. The findings show that the manuscript is written on yellowed European-style paper that has been reinforced with Japanese tissue as a preservation measure. The script used is Arabic Pegon, resembling standard Arabic script yet exhibiting distinct compositional features unique to local usage. The content consists of agricultural mantras integral to traditional Sundanese agrarian practices. These mantras incorporate ritual actions and invoke Nyimas Puhaci Sanghyang Sri, widely known as Dewi Sri, alongside prayers modeled on Islamic traditions. The manuscript thus reflects a process of cultural assimilation, illustrating the emergence of a hybrid cultural form shaped by prolonged interaction between indigenous Sundanese and Islamic influences. Abstract

Preoperative anxiety is a common psychological response experienced by patients undergoing surgical procedures, and this condition can affect physiological stability as well as the overall recovery process. Family social support and nurses’ communication style are two critical factors that play a significant role in reducing such anxiety. This study aims to analyze the influence of family social support and nurses’ communication style on the level of preoperative anxiety among patients. The research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational analytic method and logistic regression analysis. The sample consisted of 74 respondents undergoing elective surgery, selected through incidental sampling. The findings revealed that family social support had a significant effect on preoperative anxiety (p = 0,004; Estimate = 3.75), and nurses’ communication style also demonstrated a significant influence (p = 0.015; Estimate = 3.21). These results indicate that better family support and more effective communication styles used by nurses are associated with lower levels of preoperative anxiety. This study underscores the importance of family involvement and nurses’ therapeutic communication skills as integral components of preoperative nursing interventions. The implementation of empathetic, clear, and informative communication strategies, along with structured family education, is recommended to enhance patients’ psychological comfort.

Abstract

Job satisfaction among nurses is an important indicator of healthcare service quality and is influenced by various organizational and interpersonal factors. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the head nurse’s participative leadership, work engagement, and interpersonal communication with nurses’ job satisfaction in the inpatient units of a private hospital in Jakarta. A quantitative analytic correlational design was employed with a total sample of 214 nurses selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using standardized and validated questionnaires measuring participative leadership, work engagement, interpersonal communication, and job satisfaction. The results of multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression demonstrated that participative leadership (OR = 46.5; p = 0.01), work engagement (OR = 13.5; p = 0.04), and interpersonal communication (OR = 14.7; p = 0.03) significantly influenced nurse job satisfaction. Nurses who perceived good participative leadership, high engagement, and effective interpersonal communication were significantly more likely to report job satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening participative leadership practices, fostering engagement, and enhancing interpersonal communication to improve job satisfaction and support the creation of a conducive work environment in nursing units.

Abstract

The Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) training, which includes triage principles, is a strategic effort to enhance nurses’ preparedness in facing emergency situations. This article discusses the implementation of triage training in BTCLS as a means of developing nurses’ competencies in rapid assessment and priority decision-making for patient management using the START and ATS methods. Through a combination of theory, simulation, and practice, this training improves psychomotor skills, communication, and interprofessional coordination among healthcare providers in critical situations. As a result, nurses become more confident, responsive, and effective in delivering emergency care, which contributes to improved patient safety and the overall quality of healthcare services. This article emphasizes the importance of structured training as a foundation for strengthening triage systems and emergency management in healthcare facilities.
