Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of environmental care character education at SD Darus Sholah Jember, identify the challenges encountered in instilling environmental care character values through applying green school principles, and explain the efforts made to overcome these challenges. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the school principal, teachers, and students in grades III and IV, while secondary data consisted of documents related to environmental care character education. The data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation, which were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The research findings indicate that environmental care character education at SD Darus Sholah Jember is implemented through several measures: (1) curriculum development encompassing self-development programs, integration of environmental care values into subjects, fostering a school culture of environmental care, improving the learning process, and managing school environmental health; (2) challenges faced include students' poor habits in maintaining cleanliness, low awareness of proper waste management, and technical issues such as inadequate water flow; (3) efforts to address these challenges involve providing students with understanding and guidance on maintaining personal hygiene, strengthening interactions between teachers and parents, and establishing collaborations with school alums.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the strategies for developing students' talents and interests in the tahfidz program to support character formation at MIN 1 Bondowoso. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research involved the school principal, tahfidz teachers, students, and parents as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using a thematic approach. The findings indicate that the main strategies implemented in the tahfidz program include the talqin method, muraja'ah, and motivation based on rewards. These strategies have proven effective in improving students' memorization while simultaneously shaping their discipline, responsibility, and honesty. The responses from teachers (88%) and students (90.74%) reflect high enthusiasm for the program. However, challenges such as the limited number of teachers, minimal supporting facilities, and the lack of flexibility in memorization targets remain obstacles that need to be addressed. This research also found that the development of students' talents and interests has not been optimally integrated into the tahfidz program. Therefore, more inclusive strategies are needed to accommodate students' individual potential while strengthening Islamic character formation. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pengembangan bakat dan minat siswa belum terintegrasi secara optimal dalam program tahfidz. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang lebih inklusif untuk mengakomodasi potensi individu siswa sekaligus memperkuat pembentukan karakter islami. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi madrasah dalam mengelola program tahfidz yang efektif, berkelanjutan, dan berorientasi pada pengembangan holistik peserta didik. Kata kunci: Bakat Minat, Karakter peserta didik, Program Tahfidz

Abstract

Learning difficulties are a problem that can arise anywhere and can be experienced by any-one. Learning difficulties are not always caused by low intelligence, but can also be caused by non-intelligence factors. Parenting has a role in children's development, including their personality and also in their learning process. This research was conducted to find out the causes of learning difficulties experienced by school-age children. The method used is qual-itative research, with an explanatory case study. The subject in this study is a 10-year- old school-age child. The data collected in this research is by using interview, observation, intel-ligence test (CFIT test), and graphic test. The results showed that the learning difficulties experienced by the subject were not only caused by intelligence factors, but also influenced by the parenting received by the subject in the family. The subject has an intelligence level below average, which puts him in the category of slow learners. In addition, permissive par-enting and excessive attention from family members, especially the grandmother, also con-tributed to the subject's learning difficulties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diadakan atas permasalahan penanaman nilai-nilai moderasi beragama pada karakter peserta didik di SDN 4 Siliragung Banyuwangi. Peneliti berinisiatif untuk mencari data bagaimana peran sekolah dan guru menanamkan nilai moderasi pada peserta didik di sekolah tersebut. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penlitian kualitatif dengan alat pengumpul data berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi, Adapun subjek penelitian pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh elemen yang terdapat pada SDN 4 Siliragung. Hasil Penelitian ini yaitu Pertama, penekanan pada nasionalisme kebangsaan melalui kegiatan upacara bendera dan nyanyian lagu wajib menjadi elemen penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Kedua, nilai toleransi dihadapkan pada kesulitan dalam lingkungan anak-anak SDN 4 Siliragung, terutama terkait dengan perbedaan prestasi dan kemampuan. Ketiga, penanganan permasalahan bullying menjadi perhatian serius, baik dari segi fisik maupun psikologis. Keempat, menginternalisasi sikap akomodatif terhadap kebudayaan lokal melibatkan upaya guru dalam memberikan pemahaman tentang keberagaman budaya Indonesia.

Abstract

The existence of issues in the environment of arts and culture material learning activities us-ing musical notation in primary schools is what spurred this research. Researchers created a learning medium based on the Android operating system because these learning activities did not receive positive feedback. 1) The development of augmented reality-based learning materials for fourth-grade elementary schools' arts and crafts classes that explore musical notes. 2) Another goal of this research is to ascertain how media experts and subject matter experts create learning media, and 3) how effective learning media implementation is. The research and development technique was employed in this study, and the end result is a product whose viability has been proven. (1) The design of instructional materials for aug-mented reality employing tools from Adobe Photoshop CC 2021, Adobe XD CC, Blender 3D, Unity 3D, Cubase 12 Pro, and Vuforia SDK (2) The results show that the Augmented Reality learning medium achieves 96.7% (in the small group) and 91.6% (in the big group), showing that it is very effective and well suited for usage as a learning medium. These find-ings led to the conclusion that this arts and crafts learning medium was effective and suita-ble for use as a teaching tool for elementary school fifth graders.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an instructional approach designed to accommodate the diverse abilities, interests, and learning needs of students. This study explores the implementation of differentiated learning to foster 4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication) skills in Grade X students during Islamic Education (PAI) lessons at SMK Plus Nurul Ulum Kemungsari Lor Panti Jember. The research specifically examines three aspects: the activities involved in differentiated learning, its relevance in fostering 4C skills, and the outcomes achieved through its application. This qualitative descriptive study employed observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. Data were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s interactive model, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data condensation involved selecting, focusing, simplifying, abstracting, and transforming the collected information. The credibility of the findings was ensured through triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings demonstrate that differentiated learning effectively supports the development of 4C skills in students by tailoring the teaching process to their unique needs. This approach not only enhances students’ engagement and learning outcomes but also highlights its relevance as a pedagogical strategy for Islamic Education.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is needed by students in the learning process, especially in science learning. However, the reality shows that often students make mistakes in making decisions because of lack of understanding of concepts in learning materials and lack of critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Discovery learning model as an effort to improve critical thinking skills in science learning in elementary / MI. The method applied in this writing is a literature study (library research) conducted by investigating various literature studies. The results of the analysis of several previous studies that have been analyzed show an increase in students' critical thinking skills after applying the discovery learning learning model. The analysis proves that the application of the discovery learning learning model in science learning in elementary schools has a positive impact on improving thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of religious culture in improving students' emotional intelligence at Ulul Albab Islamic Elementary School (SD) Jember. Qualitative methods were used in this study, involving observation and interview techniques as data collection instruments. A total of 13 informants, including religious teachers, class teachers, the principal and other school staff, were selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis used the Miles Huberman and Saldana model, considering data validity through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that the implementation of a culture of religiosity at SDS Islam Ulul Albab Jember, such as morning tadarus, reciting and memorizing chapters of the Quran, reading istighfar and doing ablution when making mistakes, as well as the implementation of dhuha, dzuhur, asr prayers in congregation, contributed to improving students' emotional intelligence. These practices create a supportive and empowering learning environment, where students can develop better understanding and management of emotions. This research provides a deeper understanding of the importance of integrating religious culture in educational contexts to improve the quality of learning and holistic student development. The implications of this research provide guidance for educational institutions to adopt and strengthen religious cultural practices in an effort to improve students' emotional intelligence.

Abstract

Formation of the character of students in terms of religion, ethics, morals and manners in interacting with the community, education is designed and implemented by forming characters by the values of the nation's cultural character, especially in IPS learning. The formation of the character of students through habituation and example as outlined in IPS learning which is the initial stage of IPS learning based on Curriculum 13 which cannot be separated from the role of the class teacher itself and forms into IPS learning guided by BSNP through the Semester Program (PROSEM), Syllabus and RPP (lesson plan). The supporting factors for character include exemplary and guiding awareness from teachers, good coordination from all school parties, and cooperation from each school component in shaping the character of students with higher commitment. The inhibiting factors for the formation of the character of students are the lack of self-awareness of the students, the limited ability of the teacher to act decisively against students who violate and the influence of the environment around students.
