Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the combined method of rote learning the Qur'an to improve discipline students in kindergarten class B Sutopadan ABA Yogyakarta. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Subjects were teachers and students. Research held in April 2017. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using a model Milles and Huberman of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Mechanical examination of the validity of data by triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that: the combined method of memorization of the Koran are applied in TK ABA Yogyakarta Sutopadan very helping teachers to improve discipline children through various stages that are contained within the combined method recitation of the Qur'an, not only improve discipline children get from a combined method of memorizing Qur'anic memorization but can improve children's ability to quickly and correctly, role of teachers in the implementation of the discipline through a combined method of recitation of the Qur'an is to provide room for the recitation of the Qur'an and also provide a special teacher for Qur'an memorization activities in order to apply the combined method recitation of the Qur'an properly, combined method recitation of the Qur'an are now children are able to follow all the activities in an orderly manner, to respect teachers and friends, to comply with the pseudoa regulation that exist in schools, only that children in kindergarten ABA Sutopadan has been able to memorize up to 30 juz quickly and correctly. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan metode gabungan pembelajaran hafalan al-qur’an untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas B di TK ABA Sutopadan Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa. Penelitian dipelaksanakan pada bulan April 2017. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan model Milles and Huberman yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa: Metode gabungan hafalan Al-Qur’an yang diterapkan di TK ABA Sutopadan Yogyakarta sangat membantu guru untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan anak melalui berbagai tahapan-tahapan yang terdapat didalam metode gabungan hafalan Al-Qur’an ini, bukan hanya meningkatkan kedisiplinan yang anak dapatkan dari metode gabungan hafalan Al-Qur’an ini melainkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal anak dengan cepat dan benar, Peran guru dalam pelaksanaan kedisiplinan melalui metode gabungan  hafalan Al-Qur’an ialah dengan menyediakan ruangan khusus untuk hafalan Al-Qur’an dan juga menyediakan guru khusus untuk kegiatan hafalan Al-Qur’an agar dapat menerapkan metode gabungan hafalan Al-Qur’an dengan baik dan benar, memalui penerapkan metode gabungan hafalan Al-Qur’an sekarang anak-anak mampu mengikuti semua kegiatan dengan tertib, dapat menghargai guru dan temannya, mampu mematuhi semua peraturan yang ada disekolah,bukan hanya itu anak-anak di TK ABA Sutopadan ini sudah mampu menghafal hingga juz ke 30 dengan cepat dan benar.

Abstract

This research is based on the facts in the field regarding the process of achieving early childhood education that is not optimal. Eeducational attainment is about to manage sel emotion of early childhood. The traditional games "kaulinan barudak" are one of the learning process approaches could be expected to provide positive stimulation toward developmental aspect of children’s potential. This study is conducted to determine the contribution of traditional games "kaulinan barudak" to the development of self emotion manage of children aged 5-6 years. This study uses quasi-experimental method with Pretest and Posttest control group design. Data is collected using structured observation, notes, and documentation. The results of this study are 1) the ability of self emotion manage of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Artanita Tasikmalaya entered into category”positive significant”; 2) the ability of self emotion manage of children aged 5-6 years of conventional game in kindergarten Artanita Tasikmalaya entered into category”no siginificant positive effect”; 3) the ability of self emotion manage of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Artanita Tasikmalaya entered into category”Different effect of traditional game “kaulinan barudak” from the conventional game”. The traditional game of “kaulinan barudak” gives a more significant positive effect than the conventional game. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta-fakta di lapangan mengenai kondisi proses pencapaian pendidikan anak usia dini yang belum optimal. Proses pencapaian pendidikan yang dimaksud adalah sikap empati dan pola gerak dasar anak usia dini. Permainan tradisional “kaulinan barudak” merupakan salah satu pendekatan proses belajar yang diduga dapat memberikan stimulasi positif terhadap aspek perkembangan potensi anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kontribusi permainan tradisional “kaulinan barudak” terhadap pengembangan sikap empati dan pola gerak dasar anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest control group design. Subjek siswa yang akan dilibatkan adalah anak usia dini di TK Perwari dan RA Istiqomah , dan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 17 orang sesuai jumlah di TK Perwari dan RA Istiqomah. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan  observasi terstruktur, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini 1) profil kemampuan bersikap empati dan pola gerak dasar anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Perwari Kota Tasikmalaya dan RA Istiqomah Kota Tasikmalaya masuk ke dalam kategori “Muncul”, 2) program kegiatan pembelajaran  meningkat, 3) program kegiatan pembelajaran dengan permainan konvensional menunjukan cukup baik, 4) kemampuan pola gerak dasar pada kelompok eksperimen meningkat.; 5) profil sikap empati dan pola gerak dasar setelah melalui penerapan permainan konvensional meningkat, 6) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sikap empati dan pola gerak dasar di kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen.

Abstract

This research is based on the facts in the field about the condition of early childhood education learning at currently that tendency is still using conventional learning. Learning to use still seem monotonous and have not been able to optimize aspects of child development in improving early childhood kinesthetic intelligence. Therefore, research was conducted to determine the contribution of movement and song learning in developing early childhood kinesthetic intelligence. This study used quasi-experimental methods Non-equivalent pre-test and post-test control group design. Data collection techniques conducted in this study using three techniques, namely structured observation, field notes, and documentation. Thee results showed that movement and song learning can provide contribute positively to improve kinesthetic intelligence early childhood significantly with a 95% confidence level. Keywords: Early childhood, Kinesthetic-Intelligence, Motion, Songs Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fakta di lapangan mengenai kondisi pembelajarann pendidikan anak usia dini saat ini yang kecenderungannya masih menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Pembelajaran yang digunakan masih terkesan monoton dan belum mampu mengoptimalkan aspek perkembangan anak dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan kinestetik anak usia dini. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kontribusi pembelajaran gerak dan lagu dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan kinestetik anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan melalui desain kelompok pre-test dan post-test. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga teknik, yaitu observasi terstruktur, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran gerak dan lagu dapat memberikan kontribunsi secaraa positif untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan kinestetik anak usia dini secara signifikan dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Abstract

Learning approaches, such as tactical approach and technical approach, have been widely discussed for promoting physical activity in physical education learning. The application of a suitable learning approach becomes an important issue related to different fitness level of individual. The purpose of this study was to investigate the results of basketball skill learning by applying the learning approaches based on the physical fitness level of adolescent students. A 2 x 2 factorial design (ANOVA) was applied in this study. Forty junior high school male students were involved in this study. They were divided into 4 groups, including 2 high physical fitness groups and 2 low physical fitness groups by applying the tactical approach and technical approach. This study used the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) instrument for the junior high school level and basketball skill test instruments, including passing, shooting, and dribbling tests. The results showed that, overall, students who received the tactical approach were better than students who received the technical approach. In the high physical fitness student group, the tactical learning approach showed a significant impact compared to the technical approach. However, in the students with low physical fitness group, the technical approach had a better effect on the students' basketball skills. It concludes that the two learning approaches are proven to be able to improve the outcomes of basketball skill learning. For that reason, it is recommended to teach basketball skills using a tactical approach to students with good physical fitness. However, if students have low physical fitness, it is suggested that technical learning approaches is given.

Abstract

The use of media in the learning process is very helpful for students' understanding, but in mathematics learning especially the traveling material and the wide flat area the use of media is still rarely used. One of the media that can be used is the pop-up book media which is a form of book packed with a three-dimensional structure with a part that can be moved and played. Researchers developed a pop-up book media concept around and wide flat area for fourth-grade elementary school students. The method used is Design-Based Research (DBR) which goes through four stages including problem identification, prototype development, due diligence, and reflection to produce the final product. This research shows that; 1) the development of pop-up book media is made according to the curriculum as well as from predetermined indicators, 2) pop-up books are made using the canva application and printed on 260 gsm art paper A3 size, 3) the use of pop-up book media the circumference and area of the flat build area are suitable for use in the learning process, in terms of the results of validation and testing. Product trials were conducted at two schools, which were reviewed from students' responses and observations during learning. In the learning process students are very enthusiastic about learning using pop-up book media, this is indicated by the positive response to the pop-up book media with the results achieved 96.54% and 99.78%, 4) the final product of this study is in the form media pop-up book concept around and wide flat area that is suitable for use. From the results of the study popup, book media around and wide flat area for fourth-grade elementary school students is suitable for use in learning mathematics

Abstract

Cooperation is an important aspect to be owned by students to support their quality of life. The purpose of this study was to find out elementary school student cooperative skills through outbound activity. The descriptive method was chosen to describe the cooperative ability of 20 lower-class students, aged 7-9 years. The data were collected through an electronic instrument of cooperative rubric covering three aspects, including communication, responsibility, and helping each other. The obtained data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis to describe the cooperative level of the students in the outbound activity. The result of the study showed that the student cooperative skill was very low. It was shown by the development of the score. The score on the communication aspect was 44%. The score on the responsibility aspect was 29%. The score on helping each other was 33%. This condition should become an evaluation for the elementary school teachers to find out an alternative solution to overcome the problems. In addition, technology utilization, such as electronic rubric, could help teachers in conducting observation to evaluate the student’s learning development in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research examined the impact of outdoor education on student assertive attitude in Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Elementary School, Tasikmalaya Campus, Indonesia. The problem gained by the researcher in the learning process was the negative behavior that the researcher aimed to study. The samples of the study were 32 students chosen through a purposive sampling technique. The experimental method was used in this study. The data were obtained through an Assertive Scale questionnaire. The researcher conducted an initial study with the result 0,662. The final score of the research was 0,504, showing that Outdoor Education had a significant impact on assertive attitude development. This finding shows that outdoor education can be an alternative for the teachers of Physical Education at elementary schools to implement moral and ethics learning as well as a learning variation. The further research is suggested to conduct a research related to other affective aspects, such as emotion and empathy. The outdoor education indirectly gives impacts on the student attitude and acts as a self-reminder.

Abstract

Courage should be stimulated since childhood, so it is necessary to introduce aquatic activities from an early age. The initial ability of a child courage in doing aquatic activities in the swimming pool needs to be examined to describe a child initial condition before doing activities in water games. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the character strength based on the courage of elementary school students in aquatic activities. Descriptive research method was used to describe the research results. The population of this study included 21 Grade 3 students of the Laboratory Elementary School of UPI Tasikmalaya. All 21 students aged 9-10 years (11 males and 10 females) became samples of this study, selected through a total sampling technique, to fill out a google form questionnaire. The results, obtained from the character strength analysis based on the student courage in aquatic activities, showed that all of 21 children had a high level of courage. It implies that the result of this study can be used as a material for the preparation of intervention program through aquatic activities to further develop character strengths in elementary schools.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan waktu, terdapat berbagai dinamika yang harus dihadapi UPI sebagai Lembaga Pendidikan tinggi, terutama sebagai konsekuensi adanya transformasi kelembagaan dengan penetapan kembali UPI menjadi perguruan tinggi otonom dalam bentuk PTN BH. Dilihat dari sudut pandang manajemen, kepemimpinan merupakan salah satu masalah sentral yang harus dihadapi oleh setiap institusi. Dalam era desentralisasi dan otonomi pendidian, Pemimpin dengan kepemimpinan transformasional diharapkan dapat menghadirkan kepemimpinan yang memilki visi ke depan dan mampu mengidentifikasikan perubahan lingkungan serta mampu mentransformasikan perubahan tersebut ke dalam institusi. Mengingat peran yang diemban serta kecenderungan tantangan lingkungan sektor pendidikan yang dihadapi sekarang maupun di masa datang akan semakin dinamis, maka urgensi bagaimana meningkatkan kekuatan kepemimpinan transformasional menjadi hal yang penting. Diperlukan kepemimpinan yang kreatif dengan kemampuan transformasional kuat untuk menghadapi perubahan dinamika sektor pendidikan tinggi. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perilaku kepemimpinan di lingkungan kampus daerah UPI. Menurut teori kepemimpinan transformasional Bass (1985), ada empat dimensi utama yang mampu mencirikan kepemimpinan transformasional. Keempat dimensi tersebut adalah pengaruh ideal, motivasi inspirasional, pertimbangan individual dan stimulasi intelektual. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa, fenomena kepemimpinan transformasional di lingkungan Kampus daerah Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia secara unidimensional, tepat, dan konsisten dapat dijelaskan oleh empat dimensi dan 13 indikator sebagaimana yang dikonsepsikan teori.

Abstract

This study aims to look at differences in motivation and physical intensity in junior high school students through tactical and technical learning models in invasion games. This study used an experimental method with a post-test control group design. Sample selection using cluster random sampling was chosen to determine the experimental group and the control group. Each class consists of 24 students. From each class 8 students were taken (4 men; 4 women) because of the limited availability of the Polar Global Positioning System (GPS) instrument. Student motivation is measured using a questionnaire. Data is processed using independent sample t-test. The results showed that there were differences in the motivation and intensity of student movements in the tactical and technical learning model groups. The intensity and motivation of students in the tactical learning model group is higher than the technical learning model. The implications of this study can be used as empirical data related to motivation and intensity of movement influenced by tactical learning models in invasion games. So that the achievement of physical fitness can be obtained by taking into account the intensity of student movement during the Physical Education learning objectively.
