Abstract

This study examines the role of sign language as the main means of communication and reflection of the character of deaf children in SLB ABC Argasari Lestari. The main problem faced is children's limitations in conveying emotions and needs verbally, so the research aims to understand how sign language supports the development of children's confidence, social interaction, and character. This study uses a qualitative approach using the case study method, involving direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that sign language is not only a communication tool but also reflects the unique personality of each child. Children who actively use sign language show increased confidence and the ability to interact with the environment. In addition, values such as empathy, responsibility, and courage develop through teacher guidance. Teachers play an important role in guiding the effective and ethical use of sign language. This finding confirms that sign language is a medium that supports character development and social integration of deaf children, as well as showing their uniqueness to the community

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan kegiatan melukis dengan menggunakan media tarikan benang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah review literatur yang sistematis dengan menjaring artikel-artikel yang terkait dengan tema penelitian yang diterbitkan dalam rentang waktu 2015-2024 melalui mesin pencarian elektronik Google Scholar. Pencarian awal didapatkan 10 artikel kemudian dipilih berdasarkan kriteria eksklusif sehingga didapatkan 3 artikel yang dianalisa menggunakan teknik data tematik. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa melalui kegiatan melukis dengan menggunakan metode tarikan benang dapat meningkatkan motorik halus anak usia dini (4-5 tahun). Kemampuan motorik halus yang dimaksud diantaranya meniru bentuk, mengkoordinasikan mata dan tangan untuk melakukan gerakan yang rumitdan anak dapat mengontrol gerakan tangan yang menggunakan otot halus.

Abstract

The low level of fine motor skills in early childhood has become a concern in early childhood education, particularly due to the limited use of varied, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of using loose part media on the development of fine motor skills in young children. A quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving 10 Group B students at RA Assalam, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of monitoring documents based on indicators of fine motor development in early childhood, aligned with developmental achievement standards. The results showed an increase in the average score from 27.40 before the intervention to 42.50 after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.005 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Thus, the use of loose part media proved effective in enhancing the fine motor skills of early childhood learners. These findings highlight the importance of implementing flexible, exploratory, and child-friendly media to create enjoyable learning experiences and support children’s holistic development.

Abstract

Finger painting atau yang sering juga disebut dengan menggambar dengan jari adalah teknik melukis dengan mengunkan jari-jemari tangan secara langsung tanpa bantuan alat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kegiatan finger painting terhadap kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Lebih lanjut penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi litelatur, atau penelitian dengan ketegori penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Sistem pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari jurnal-jurnal ilmiah yang kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan permasalahan-permasalahan yang ada, metode pengumpulan dari penelitian ini diperoleh dari data pustaka, membaca, mencatat, dan mengelola bahan penelitian. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan finger painting memberi pengaruh terhadap perkemabngan motorik halus anak usia dini melalui kegiatan finger painting anak menjadi tersimulasi.

Abstract

In the state elementary school education unit in Tasikmalaya Regency, we find educators with civil servant status and honorary teachers. Civil Servant teachers are paid directly by the government, while honorary teachers are paid from funding sources that come from school operational funding provided by the government. The minister of education makes a policy so that honorary salaries are used at most 50% of the total allocation of school operational funding provided by the government. Knowing the following policies makes researchers interested in studying the evaluation of the budget allocation for school operational funding for the salaries of honorary teachers in the Tasikmalaya Regency. The research method was a descriptive qualitative method, by interviewing 55 honorary teachers spread over 55 public elementary schools in Tasikmalaya Regency. The results of this study indicate that honorary teachers have not received salaries in accordance with the policies made by the minister of education. Salaries are still met by the policy of the principal in each education unit and the amount of salary received by honorary teachers is still below the minimum wage standard for the Tasikmalaya Regency. So the government should pay attention to teacher salaries to achieve better education.

Abstract

Sosialisasi penerapan aplikasi Physical Literacy (Fit-Lit) berbasis Android dilaksanakan sebagai upaya inovatif dalam mendukung implementasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani di Sekolah Dasar yang berorientasi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan serta pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDG’s) khususnya poin ke-4, yaitu Quality Education. Aplikasi Fit-Lit dirancang untuk membantu guru dalam menilai dan memantau perkembangan literasi fisik peserta didik secara digital, interaktif, dan terukur. Melalui penerapan aplikasi ini, diharapkan guru dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran Penjas yang lebih adaptif terhadap teknologi, kontekstual, serta mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran siswa akan pentingnya aktivitas fisik dan gaya hidup sehat. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep literasi fisik berbasis teknologi dan memberikan pelatihan teknis kepada guru olahraga Sekolah Dasar agar mampu mengintegrasikan aplikasi Fit-Lit dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu sosialisasi/seminar dan praktek simulasi penggunaan aplikasi. Sasaran kegiatan ini meliputi guru olahraga SD. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap konsep literasi fisik serta kemampuan mereka dalam menggunakan aplikasi Fit-Lit sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memperkuat kolaborasi antara UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya dengan IGORNAS Kota Tasikmalaya dalam pengembangan inovasi pembelajaran olahraga berbasis teknologi. Sosialisasi ini diharapkan menjadi langkah nyata dalam mewujudkan pendidikan jasmani yang berkualitas, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan sesuai semangat SDG’s.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi membawa dampak yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap generasi muda bangsa Indonesia. Salah satu dampak dari perkembangan teknologi yaitu berkurangnya nilai moral pada diri anak. Dimana pada zaman sekarang anak mulai meniru konten-konten yang kurang baik dan memanfaatkan teknologi dengan kurang bijak. Untuk menghindari peristiwa tersebut, maka diperlukan pendidikan karakter terhadap anak sejak dini. Masa anak merupakan masa bermain, sehingga melalui permainan tradisional akan mempermudah terbentuknya karakter yang baik bagi anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Quasi Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Dari analisis data melalui uji hipotesis (uji paired sample t-test) diperoleh hasil dari kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai signifikasi 0,000 kurang dari 0,05 atau dapat dinyatakan bahwa 0,000<0,05 sehingga setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa permainan tradisional bebentengan berbasis socratic method pada kelas eksperimen terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil pretest dan posttest siswa. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai signifikasi 0,012 kurang dari 0,05 atau dapat dinyatakan bahwa 0,012<0,05 sehingga setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa permainan tradisional bebentengan secara konvensional pada kelas kontrol terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil pretest dan posttest siswa. Abstract

Creativity is a vital 21st-century skill that must be nurtured from an early age to support critical thinking and independent idea expression. However, observations at TK Fathul Huda Tasikmalaya indicate that the creativity of children aged 4–5 years has not yet developed optimally, as evidenced by a tendency to imitate, the production of meaningless work, and a limited ability to express ideas. This study aims to enhance children’s creativity through the use of constructive play methods. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach in collaboration with teachers, conducted over three cycles. Creativity assessment was based on Utami Munandar’s 4P theory, encompassing the individual, process, product, and press (environment) dimensions, with indicators such as the ability to create original forms, self-motivated artistic activity, sustained creative engagement, and the production of meaningful, describable work. The results showed a significant increase in creativity across each cycle, with the majority of children reaching the "Very Well Developed" (Berkembang Sangat Baik, BSB) category by the third cycle. The study concludes that constructive play is an effective strategy for developing early childhood creativity in PAUD institutions, as it fosters active engagement and independent idea expression.

Abstract

COVID-19 bears various traumatic impacts on students. This study aims to identify PTSD symptoms in junior and senior high school students after the COVID-19 outbreak. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional survey method. Meanwhile, the data was collected using a problem checklist instrument. Further, the obtained data were analyzed using non-parametric statistics with the Mann-Whitney test to identify differences in PTSD symptoms based on gender and level of education. The results of the analysis show that symptoms appear in every physical, emotional, mental, behavioral, and spiritual aspect. Besides, we also found a significant difference in the level of anxiety disorder between male and female students after COVID-19, while there is no significantly distinct anxiety disorder between junior and senior high school students. In the end, we recommended that more in-depth research regarding the forms of intervention to reduce PTSD in students should be carried out.
