Mathematics is considered to be one of the most difficult subjects for most students. The negative effect of this is that many students feel anti-and fearful of learning mathematics before they actually learn mathematics. To increase students' interest in learning mathematics, new innovations are needed, such as the use of the context of karate in learning mathematics. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students by developing teaching materials using the context of karate sports based on Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education in learning mathematics on arithmetic operations. This research is a development research (Development) which leads to the Plomp development model. Three stages were used in the development of the Plomp model: 1) The initial research stage; 2) The prototype stage; 3) Assessment stage. This study obtained the results of the validity of teaching materials with an average total value of 62 in the very valid category. The results of the practicality level are stated to be practical, this can be seen from the results of teacher responses and student responses. Thus, PMRI-based mathematics teaching materials using the context of karate are declared valid with high and practical categories.

This study aims to know the effect of go fish educative game to the cognitive learning outcomes of change fractions to percent and decimal forms. This research was an experimental research design with quasi exsperimental with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this research used two classes, there were an experiment class and a control class. The calculation result of research data used was obtained t-test t0(2,817) > ttable (1,684) at α level of 0.05. With it can be concluded that there was the effect of go fish educative game to the cognitive learning outcomes of change fractions to percent and decimal forms in V grade of elementary school. This research was aimed to describe the enhancement of students’ achievement in multiplication and division of fraction and decimal by using Problem Based Learning in 5th grade of SDN 19 ATTS Bukittinggi. This type of research was Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approach. The research subject was the teacher of fifth grade as observer, the researcher as practitioner, and 16 students. The observation result of first cycle was 83,75% and second cycle was 95,%. The observation result of teacher aspect in first cycle was in average to 81,24% and second cycle was to 93,75%. The observation result of students’ aspect in first cycle was in average to 81,24% and second cycle was 93,75%. The students’ achievement in first cycle was in average to 68,53 and second cycle was in average to 79,5.

The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of the learning results of adding fractions with different denominators using Pendidikan Matematika Realistik approach on the 5th grade students of SDN 08 Campago Ipuh Kota Bukittinggi. This study is a classroom action research, and employs qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research object is the 5th grade students of SDN 08 Campago Ipuh Kota Bukittinggi. The results showed several improvements, including: a) the implementation of the lesson plan in cycle I has an average score of 87.5% (Very Good), while the average score for cycle II is 92.86% (Very Good); b) the teaching stages (the teacher’s activity) has an average score of 76.6% (Good) in Cycle I, while the average score in cycle II is 93.75%(Very Good); c) The learning implementation (the student’s activity) has an averge score of 76.6% (Good) in cycle I, and it increase to 93.75% (Very Good) in Cycle II; d) the learning results has an average score of 66.59 (Fair) in Cycle I and it increase to 86.17 (Very Good) in Cycle II. This study concludes that the implementation of Pendidikan Matematika Realistik approach significantly improves the learning results of adding fractions with different denominatorsof the 5th grade students in SDN 08 Campago Ipuh Kota Bukittinggi.Keywords: adding fractions with different denominators, Pendidikan Matematika Realistik approach

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fractions worth using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in class IV SDN 17 Sungai Pandahan Pasaman Regency. This type of research is classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Subjects in this study were 21st grade students of SDN 17 Sungai Pandahan Pasaman Regency, with a total of 21 people, consisting of 11 men and 10 women. The research instrument used test sheets, non-tests and observations and the data analysis techniques used were descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model could improve student learning outcomes in fractions worth material.

The purpose of the research is to know differences about student’s achievement in addition and subtraction of two fractions with different denominators by using cooperative model with STAD and TAI types. The design of the research is quasi experiment in the from pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. The sample of the research is class VA andclass VB at Elementary School 38 Lubuk Sao that have chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The result of research found that there is differences about student’s achievement in learning mathematic by using cooperative model STAD type and cooperative model TAI type tcount (1,80664)>ttable (1,69726). This means that students’ achievement by using cooperative model STAD type better than students’ achievement by using cooperatuve model TAI type in learning mathematics. The use of technology in the industrial revolution era 4.0 is a challenge as well as an opportunity to improve the quality of learning. One of the uses of technology in learning is the creation of schoology media . This study aims to developing shoology–based solids learning media wich are valid, practical, and effective to improve the fifth year elementary school students’ learning outcomes.This study used a research and development method with Plomp model wich consisted of three stages: preliminary research, development and prototype phase and assessment. This study was conducted in SDN 08 Padang Besi, Padang. The data were collected using test and no-test techniques. The results of this study indicate that developed learning media is valid with a validity level of 88,02% and practicality students respons with a practicality level of 95% and teacher respon with a practicality level of 95,83%. Furthermore, it was found using schoology media has a significants impact on the students’ learning outcomes. The results of the t-test show that > , or 8,026 > 2,145. Moreover, the effectiveness of schoology media makes 80% of the students reach KKM.

The objective of the study was to describe the planning, the implementation, and the increase of the learning outcome of geometry characteristics oriented to Van Hiele theory in the fifth grade of Public Elementary School number 11 Indarung of Padang. The type of the study was a clasroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were the teacher and the 23 students. The result of the study showed that there was an enhancement from cycle I to cycle II as following: (a) the planning in cycle I increased by 10,7% in cycle II, (b) the implementation of the teacher and the students aspects in cycle I increased by 15% in cycle II, (c) the learning outcome in cycle I increased by 10,5 in cycle II.Key words: geometry characteristics, Van Hiele theory

This study aims at developing QR-Code-based data presentation learning media which are valid and practical to improve the learning outcomes of the fourth year elementary school students. This study used a research and development (R&D) model consisting of such stages as analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of this study included 2 experts, 2 teachers and 26 students at class IV-B of SDN 15 Ulu Gadut, Padang. The instrument used in this study included expert validation sheets and questionnaires distributed to the teachers and students. The results indicate that (1) the use of QR-Code-based data presentation learning media to improve the learning outcomes of the fourth year elementary school students is valid according to the material expert and very valid according to the linguistic expert and media expert with the validity average of 95,41; (2) based on the response of the teachers and students, the use of QR-Code-based data presentation learning media to improve the learning outcomes of the fourth year elementary school students is very practical with the average of 95% and 88%.

AbstractThis research is to find out the correlation which positive and significant between study habits with learning outcomes in mathematics of fourth grade students in model school No. 02, Bukittinggi. This research used quantitative approach with correlation research design. The research population consist of 102 students with 81 students as the research sample. The sampling technique used is a propotional random sampling. Collection methods are a study habits questionnaire and learning outcomes in mathematics documentation. Analysis prerequisite test used normality and linearity. Hypotheses testing used Pearson Product Moment with sig.5%. The result showed that the study habits and learning outcomes in mathematics are categorized as moderate. The hypotheses test results also showed the r-value bigger than the r-table value, with 0,820 > 0,218. Thus, it is concluded that there is a positive and significant correlation between study habits with learning outcomes in mathematics.
