Abstract

BUMN Banking faces competition in obtaining potential job candidates from Generation Z with work preferences different from those of previous generations. The study sought to assess the effects of employer attractiveness and work expectations on the intention to apply for jobs at BUMN Banking from graduates in West Kalimantan, utilizing corporate reputation and person-organization fit as mediating variables. With data collected via questionnaires from 256 respondents, the study's results indicate that employer attractiveness, work expectations, corporate reputation, and person-organization fit positively and significantly impact the desire of Generation Z at BUMN Banking. Additionally, corporate reputation and person-organization fit can mediate the link between employer attractiveness and intention to apply at BUMN Banking. However, a person-organization fit cannot mediate the impact of work expectations regarding the intention to apply at BUMN Banking.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore whether there is a relationship between cyberloafing and hustle culture on the performance of Generation Z employees across Indonesia, mediated by mental health. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, with a total of 202 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) were employed as data measurement methods, using the SMARTPLS 3 application. The findings indicate that cyberloafing negatively impacts mental health but not significantly affects employee performance. On the other hand, hustle culture significantly harms both mental health and employee performance. Mental health also have significant effect on employee performance. Additionally, both cyberloafing and hustle culture have a significant negative impact on performance, mediated by mental health. This research is expected to assist companies in designing more effective strategies to support employee well-being, understand the factors influencing the performance of Generation Z, and enrich the literature on human resource management, particularly concerning the relationship between mental health and performance.

This study examined a sample of 255 employees from Generation Z. Respondents were selected using a purposive sampling method. Research information was collected using an online questionnaire distributed through Google Forms with a quantitative method. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach and SmartPLS 4 software were used for data analysis to assess and examine the relationship between variables in the proposed research model. According to the research findings, work motivation significantly increases organizational commitment, but does not have a statistically significant direct impact on job satisfaction. On the other hand, work discipline greatly affects organizational commitment and job satisfaction. In addition, organizational commitment has a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction and acts as an important mediator between work motivation, discipline, and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Saving behavior among Generation Z in Indonesia tends to be relatively low. One of the contributing factors is their close relationship with technology and social media, which influences their financial habits. In addition, the generally low level of financial literacy also plays a role in shaping their saving behavior. This study aims to examine whether financial literacy significantly influences the saving behavior of Generation Z in Indonesia and whether lifestyle serves as a moderating variable in this relationship. The research employs a quantitative approach, with data collection and analysis carried out using the SmartPLS 4.0.9.9 software. The testing includes assessments of validity, reliability, the coefficient of determination, and significance tests. The results indicate that financial literacy and demographic factors have a significant impact on saving behavior. However, lifestyle does not moderate the relationship between financial literacy and saving behavior, as its influence is limited. This research is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers to enhance financial literacy and promote saving behavior among the public.

Abstract
