Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model assisted by learning videos on environmental awareness and student learning outcomes in biodiversity material in Kalimantan class VII SMPN 22 Samarinda. This study was designed to evaluate how independent factors (X) affect dependent factors (Y). This study used a pretest-posttest control group research design and quantitative quasi-experimental methodology. In environmental awareness attitudes, a t-test was obtained with a significance value of 0.003 <0.005 and the N-gain test results were 0.66 in the moderate category. In learning outcomes, a t-test was obtained with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 and the N-Gain test results were 0.68 in the moderate category. Thus, it is known that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected or the use of the CTL model assisted by learning videos has a significant effect on environmental awareness and learning outcomes in biodiversity material in Kalimantan class VII SMPN 22 Samarinda.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of Technological Knowledge-based learning media on students' scientific literacy skills on the excretion system material in class XI biology subjects at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda. The type of research used was experimental research with quantitative methods in the form of a quasi-experimental design type of the pretest-posttest control group design. The results of students' scientific literacy skills obtained the results of the N-Gain test, which is 0.59 with a moderate category, and the results of the t-test with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on these results, it was found that the use of Technological Knowledge-based learning media has a significant effect on students' scientific literacy skills on the excretion system material in class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using interactive media animated videos assisted by Doratoon through the TPACK approach on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Samarinda on ecosystem material. This type of research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a research design, namely non-equivalent control group design. The results obtained from the N-Gain test showed the Mean N-Gain value in the experimental class was 0.40 and in the control class was 0.32 which was included in the moderate category and the results of the T-test with a significance value of 0.014 <0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using interactive media animated videos assisted by Doratoon through the TPACK approach on the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Samarinda on ecosystem material.

Abstract

Grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Bontang experienced problems of low biology learning outcomes and lack of collaboration skills due to conventional teacher-centered learning. This study aimed to determine the effect of implementing the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model on students' collaboration skills and learning outcomes. The CTL model emphasizes active student involvement in the learning process, connecting material with real-life contexts, and encouraging collaboration and group discussion. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling, with class X5 as the experimental class implementing the CTL model and class X6 as the control class using conventional methods. Data analysis was carried out using the N-Gain test and the Independent Sample t Test. The results showed that the experimental class had an N-Gain value of 0.72 (high category) while the control class had 0.59 (moderate category). The t test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 for collaboration skills and learning outcomes. These results indicate a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class after the CTL model was implemented. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the CTL model has a positive and significant effect on improving the collaboration skills and learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Bontang in biology subjects.
