Reading is categorized as the receptive skills, which need to know the meaning to understand the discourse about. While reading in order to understand the meaning of what they are reading, students will be translating the English language as foreign language text to understand the text. In this instance, the ability to translate cannot be divorced from the ability to learn English, particularly the ability to read. Hence, the goal of this study is to find out how students' translation skills and reading comprehension skills relate to one another. Quantitative method is applied on this research to measure the data. It means that this quantitative research is the illustration of the fact by numerical or statistical analysis. Data was collected through test (reading comprehension and translation ability tests), and the data was analyzed using the SPSS program's Pearson correlation product moment. The findings indicate a strong relationship between students' translation skills and their reading comprehension. Students' average scores for reading comprehension and translation skills are 60.00 and 71.59, respectively. The two-tailed sig value is 0.009 less than 0.05. Thus, it can be inferred that pupils' reading comprehension and translation skills are positively correlated. In conclusion, students' reading comprehension skills and their capacity to translate news item text are significantly correlated.

Background: Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a hematopoietic disorder characterized by cytopenia, dysplasia, and genetic abnormalities that can transform into acute myeloid leukemia. MDS cases generally occur in children and adults. This case report involves a 75-year-old elderly individual with no history of MDS or family illness. Purpose of the Study: This study serves as a reference for screening the nursing perspective of MDS in the elderly. Methods: This research is a descriptive case report of 1 case. Results: A 75-year-old elderly patient with 1 month of weakness and pallor, blood pressure of 140/90 mmHg with controlled hypertension for 1 year. Laboratory results showed correlation with MDS symptoms: leukopenia (leukocytes 2.85 x 10^3/µl), thrombocytopenia (platelets 1,000/µl), and anemia (Hb 4.3g/dl). Conclusions: Hematological data support the patient experiencing MDS. Additionally, the patient's exposure to pesticides for 40 years also strongly supports the occurrence of MDS as it is a triggering factor for MDS.

Mental disorders are a growing public health concern, with emotional regulation playing a crucial role in maintaining psychological well-being. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a structured intervention that combines mindfulness practices with cognitive therapy to enhance emotional regulation. This scoping review aims to analyze the effectiveness of MBCT in improving emotional regulation in adults and to identify the specific aspects most influenced by the intervention. Using the Arksey and O’Malley framework, a systematic search was conducted in the Scopus and Web of Science databases for studies published between 2015 and 2025. Four quantitative studies met the inclusion criteria. The findings show that MBCT improves several emotional regulation components, including impulse control, emotional awareness and clarity, acceptance of emotional responses, and reduction in rumination. These improvements contribute to better emotional stability and resilience among adults facing psychological distress. The review supports the use of MBCT as a comprehensive therapeutic approach that promotes adaptive emotional responses and long term mental health. MBCT has the potential to be implemented in both clinical and community mental health settings as a preventive and promotive strategy.

Mojok.co is one of Indonesia’s online media outlets that covered the 2024 General Election with a distinctive use of satire in its reporting. The application of satire as a linguistic and rhetorical strategy remains uncommon among Indonesian news organizations. This study explores how Mojok.co employs satire as a news reporting strategy, focusing on its implementation, challenges, and underlying rationale. Guided by Nunuk Parwati’s (2020) framework of news strategy. This research adopts a qualitative case study approach involving observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Mojok.co’s editorial practices. Three key informants and one supporting informant participated in the study. The analysis centers on three main dimensions: issue selection, news writing, and news presentation. The findings reveal that Mojok.co implements a threefold strategy: (1) selecting socially relevant and trending issues and framing them from distinctive perspectives; (2) employing a balanced, non-aggressive satirical tone in its writing and headlines; and (3) enhancing media branding through consistent satirical language and visually engaging presentation. To address ethical and editorial challenges, Mojok.co applies a strict article curation process, particularly in its Terminal and Political Desk sections. The study concludes that Mojok.co’s use of satire functions not only as a stylistic choice but also as a deliberate strategic communication tool that strengthens its brand identity and differentiates it from other Indonesian online media. This research contributes to the limited scholarship on satire in Indonesian journalism by situating it within the context of strategic news production and media branding.
