Abstract

This research describes the design and implementation of a wind turbine system integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller to detect soil moisture in pakcoy vegetable plants. The main objective of this research is to create a sustainable solution that combines renewable energy with smart crop monitoring technology. The system uses a wind turbine as the main energy source that can generate electricity to operate the soil moisture sensor and DHT11 temperature sensor. The data obtained from these two sensors is used to measure and monitor the environmental conditions of pakcoy plants in real-time. The goal is to support the development of renewable energy, such as wind turbines, to address climate change and safeguard natural resources. Benefits include a reduction in the negative impacts of conventional energy and support for global efforts to address climate change. The methodology involves designing a wind turbine prototype, using temperature and humidity sensors, and integrating smart farming systems. The research also includes a research schedule. The results are expected to be an efficient prototype for generating electrical energy and a MitApp application for monitoring crop and wind energy data. This proposal is relevant to environmental and climate change issues and has the potential for a positive impact on sustainability and the environment.

Abstract

Background: Anterior crossbite is a case that when upper anterior are positioned palatally than lower anterior teeth in centric occlusion. Orthodontic appliances using expansion screw could be solution for tooth anterior crossbite treatment. Purpose: To figure out the optimal fabrication process of orthodontic appliances in single tooth anterior crossbite case using expansion screw. Case analysis: Dental laboratory provided the maxillary dental appliance with single tooth anterior crossbite on teeth 21. Dental technician also received orthodontic appliance using expansion screw. Result: Orthodontic appliance design was Adams claps on teeth 16, 26, labial bow on teeth 13, 12, 11, 21, 22, 23. Additional posterior bite plane, also expansion screw was located on maxillary left first incisor, palatal section. Conclusion: Design and making orthodontic appliances using expansion screw begins with drawing design, positioning Adams clasps and labia bow sectional screw mini mounting, then acrylic packing. Final step was finishing polishing acrylic plate.

Abstract

Electronic modules or e-modules, are defined as learning media using computers that display text, images, graphics, audio, animation and video in the learning process. The aim of this research is to find out how to develop an interactive e-module using the PBL model in science learning regarding Digestive Organs in Animals and Humans at SD N 0601 Paringgonan. The method used in this research is to use the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of this research state that this PBL-based interactive e-module has been successfully developed. This PBL-based interactive e-module was declared suitable for use in learning according to the validation results of material experts, media experts and language experts with an average of 885, 895 and 91.75% respectively. The implementation results stated that student learning outcomes increased from series 1 to the next series. Students' responses to the use of PBL-based interactive e-modules in the teaching and learning process were classified in the very good category with an average of 90.86%.

Abstract

This research explores the role of local community participation in tourism development, with a focus on the Cap Go Meh festival in Singkawang. The main objective is to assess how government and community involvement can improve sustainable tourism while preserving local culture and identity. This research uses an empirical method approach, utilizing primary data collected through questionnaires, interviews and secondary data from literature to analyze the impact of tourism on local communities. Research results show that while tourism presents economic opportunities, many local residents remain unaware of its benefits, highlighting a significant gap in understanding. This research emphasizes the need to integrate local cultural elements into tourism strategies to foster a sense of belonging among residents. It also addresses challenges such as social conflict and the need for better marketing to attract visitors. Conclusions drawn from this research indicate effective tourism development requires a collaborative approach involving local stakeholders, including government, business and community members. Recommendations include increasing public education about the benefits of tourism and promoting cultural heritage as a major attraction. By prioritizing local engagement and sustainable tourism, this research suggests that tourism can be a powerful tool for economic growth and cultural preservation, ultimately leading to more enriching experiences for visitors and local residents. This holistic approach is very important to ensure that tourism development is in line with the aspirations and needs of the community, encouraging a sustainable tourism model in Singkawang City.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implications of student development in learning in grade 5 elementary school. 11 year old Arya Rafasya, with a focus on five main aspects of development: physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and socio-moral. Using qualitative descriptive methods, data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with Arya and her parents, which were then verified through triangulation to ensure the validity of the results. The research results show that Arya is in the ideal development category. Physically proportional and active, intellectually characterized by high curiosity and critical thinking abilities. Emotionally, Arya is able to manage her feelings well, although she needs further guidance. In the spiritual aspect, Arya begins to understand and carry out religious obligations, while in the social-moral aspect, Arya shows responsibility, honesty and empathy. This research emphasizes the importance of teacher and parent support to optimize children's holistic development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between self-efficacy and academic adjustment in students of the class of 2021 at the University of Medan. The scale used in this study is the self-efficacy scale and the adjustment scale where the subjects in this study are students from the 2021 University of Medan who conducted 97 students. The data analysis method used in this study is Product Moment correlation, so the following results can be obtained: there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and academic adjustment. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient r = 0.783; P = 0.00 0.05, that self-efficacy contributes to academic adjustment by 61.3%. Students have high self-efficacy with empirical = 96.66 hypothetical mean = 75 where the second difference exceeds the SD number = 10,839 and student academic adjustment is high with empirical = 178.62 hypothetical mean = 137.5 where the difference between the two means exceeds the number SD = 16,312. From the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam organisasi pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan suatu lembaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis konsep kepemimpinan, terkhususnya gaya kepemimpinan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya serta pengambilan keputusan dalam konteks pendidikan. penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, dimana data yang diperoleh dari berbagai literature seperti jurnal, dan buku yang terkait topic pembahasan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan yang efektif memerlukan pemahaman mendalam tentang gaya kepemimpinan, faktor pendukung, serta kemampuan pengambilan keputusan. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan kepemimpinan yang tepat, organisasi pendidikan dapat mencapai tujuannya secara optimal dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang produktif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pemimpin pendidikan dalam mengembangkan strategi kepemimpinan yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

Human connectivity. One dominant operating system is Windows. This research aims to investigate the security risks and usage of unofficial software, particularly in the context of Windows, the most widely used operating system in the world. Based on this background, the author conducted research using interview, survey, and literature review methods. Interviews with computer experts were conducted to understand the security issues and limitations of using unofficial Windows. It was found that unofficial Windows usage can result in security limitations, system disruptions, and limited functionality. Furthermore, the literature review revealed various security vulnerabilities in unofficial Windows and their impacts on users and organizations. Recommended solutions include switching to official Windows or Linux distributions, while increasing public awareness of the risks of using pirated software. Surveys were conducted to understand users' perceptions and experiences with unofficial Windows. The majority of respondents admitted to being uncertain about the security of the unofficial Windows operating system they used and experienced system disruptions or functional issues. Reasons for using unofficial Windows include a lack of understanding of the differences between official and unofficial versions, as well as their availability and lower cost. Thus, this research concludes that education on the risks of using pirated software is crucial to raising public awareness and promoting the use of safe and legal solutions   ABSTRAK Dalam era digital yang semakin maju, perangkat lunak menjadi kunci bagi produktivitas, kreativitas, dan konektivitas manusia. Salah satu sistem operasi yang dominan adalah Windows, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki risiko keamanan dan penggunaan perangkat lunak tidak resmi, khususnya dalam konteks Windows, yang merupakan sistem operasi yang paling banyak digunakan di dunia. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penulis menjalankan penelitian dengan metode wawancara, survei, dan studi pustaka. Wawancara dilakukan dengan ahli komputer untuk memahami masalah keamanan dan batasan penggunaan Windows tidak resmi. Ditemukan bahwa penggunaan Windows tidak resmi dapat mengakibatkan keterbatasan keamanan, gangguan sistem, dan fungsionalitas yang terbatas. Selanjutnya, studi pustaka mengungkapkan berbagai kerentanan keamanan dalam Windows tidak resmi serta dampaknya terhadap pengguna dan organisasi. Solusi yang disarankan adalah beralih ke Windows resmi atau distribusi Linux, dengan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang risiko penggunaan perangkat lunak bajakan. Survei dilakukan untuk memahami persepsi dan pengalaman pengguna terhadap Windows tidak resmi. Mayoritas responden mengaku tidak yakin dengan keamanan sistem operasi Windows tidak resmi yang mereka gunakan dan mengalami gangguan sistem atau masalah fungsionalitas. Alasan penggunaan Windows tidak resmi antara lain kurangnya pemahaman tentang perbedaan versi resmi dan tidak resmi serta ketersediaan dan harga yang lebih murah. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi tentang risiko penggunaan perangkat lunak bajakan penting untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dan mendorong penggunaan solusi yang aman dan legal.

Abstract

Writing skills are one of the main competencies that must be mastered by students in the upper grades of elementary school. This article discusses the evaluation of writing skills learning in elementary school classes. The purpose of this research is to explore the role of formative and summative evaluations, as well as authentic evaluations in improving students' writing abilities. The literature study method was used to collect information related to writing learning evaluation. The subjects of this research were elementary school students, with research objects including aspects such as sentence structure, vocabulary, and organization of ideas in writing. The research results show that evaluation of writing learning has an important role in improving students' writing skills. Evaluation helps in measuring student progress, provides appropriate feedback, supports instructional planning, and encourages reflection for both teachers and students. The implication of this research is the importance of carrying out systematic evaluations by educators in order to create a quality learning environment, especially in terms of improving students' writing skills in the upper grades of elementary school. Thus, this article provides valuable insight for educational practitioners in improving writing learning evaluation methods that are effective and have a positive impact on student development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengembangan sistem monitoring pembayaran imbal jasa kafalah untuk mendukung efisiensi operasional pada PT. Jamkrindo Syariah Cabang Medan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mencakup akses data pembayaran yang lambat, kesalahan pencatatan manual, dan keterbatasan pemantauan pembayaran secara real-time. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode Agile, sebuah pendekatan pengembangan perangkat lunak yang menekankan fleksibilitas, kolaborasi tim, dan adaptasi terhadap perubahan kebutuhan. Sistem yang dikembangkan mampu menyajikan data pembayaran secara terintegrasi, menyediakan laporan real-time. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Agile dapat mengurangi potensi kesalahan pencatatan, meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan melalui kemudahan akses informasi, serta mendukung manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan yang lebih tepat waktu. Sistem ini diharapkan menjadi solusi efektif yang dapat diadopsi oleh perusahaan serupa di sektor keuangan berbasis syariah.
