Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning design for English courses based on learning outcomes in the method and learning materials in the curriculum to support the scientific and professional achievements of graduates of the Christian Leadership Department. This research method is descriptive qualitative with a survey method of 3 lecturers and 12 students as respondents. The results showed that the results of the development of the learning design for the English course in the Christian Leadership Department curriculum obtained an average score of 4.1 ≥H≥3 in the high category and then converted into a percentage gain of 82% in the very good category. This study recommends improvement in students' writing skills which must be trained and continuously developed in writing prayers, reflections or short sermons in English.

Abstract

This article offers a biblical theological for Christians to act inclusively toward other faiths. This biblical inclusive theology frame is a guideline for the church to be used as a consideration in conducting inter-religious and cultural encounters and dialogues. This study used hermeneutical approach on Acts 10:12-16, 34-36. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative which aims to understand and describe real events based on facts. In the context of this research, the data analyzed is a discourse obtained from relevant data sources. The result of this study showed that inclusivity does not eliminate the belief in the exclusivity of Christ as saviour, but rather the acceptance of different people as part of Christian people.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the establishment of the Menara Pandang tourist attraction and the increase in the number of tourist visits to the Salib Kasih tourist destination. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation with several informants, namely the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of Salib Kasih and Menara Pandang, the Tourism Office of North Tapanuli, tourism workers, local business actors, and visiting tourists. The results of the study show that the establishment of Menara Pandang has a significant relationship with the increase in tourist visits to Salib Kasih. This relationship can be seen from the growth in the number of tourists coming after the development of the new facility, namely Menara Pandang. Supporting factors of this relationship include the proximity of the two tourist sites, the development of integrated tour packages, active promotion through social media, and support from the local government in providing facilities and infrastructure. With this integration, tourists who previously only visited Salib Kasih are now encouraged to also enjoy the attraction of Menara Pandang, thus extending their length of stay and giving a positive impact on the local economy. Furthermore, this study also found that the existence of Menara Pandang strengthens the image of Salib Kasih as a religious tourism destination as well as natural tourism with its unique features and attractions. Therefore, the development of additional strategic tourist attractions can be an effective step in increasing both attractiveness and the number of tourist visits, especially in religious and nature-based destinations. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

Since its establishment in 2018, Christian education management has begun to develop continuously in the educational context of Indonesia. However, it still requires studying more. Accordingly, this research aims to investigate how the department of Christian education management may be developed at the Christian higher education. The qualitative research, in particular, a case study was conducted to investigate the topic. Seven participants were involved and a manual book of Christian educational management department was used as the source of data. Based on the result of the study, it was found four themes that need to pay attention seriously in order to develop further the department of Christian educational management in Christian higher education, namely vision, mission, purpose, curriculum, collaboration, and alumnus. On the other side, for improving the knowledge on the management of Christian education organizations, contributions of this study for further research, practitioners and policy-makers are provided

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate religious moderation among Medan State University (UNIMED) and North Sumatra University (USU) students in the context of their social life. The method used is a descriptive quantitative method. The population consists of students from the USU Faculty of Cultural Sciences and the UNIMED Faculty of Social Sciences, each around 4,000 people. A 912 sample was determined using the Slovin formula and randomly selected via Googleform distributed by each faculty. Data collection was carried out through closed questionnaires regarding Religious Moderation. Testing the questionnaire on 30 respondents showed the validity of all questionnaire items with a correlation above 0.361 at a confidence level of 0.05. The instrument's reliability was measured using Cronbach's alpha equation with a result of 0.937, indicating an excellent level of reliability. Data analysis was carried out using the average formula. The research results show that the religious moderation of students in North Sumatra is quite good. Questionnaire data from 912 USU and UNIMED students shows that almost all dimensions of religious moderation are in the very high category, with an average score for National Commitment of 4.437%, Tolerance of 4.274%, Non-Violence of 4.441%, and Accommodation to Local Culture of 4.425 %. These results show excellent religious moderation among students at both universities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the positive and significant influence of tourist attractions (x) on the progress of tourist attractions (y) Geosite Sipinsur in Pearung Tourism Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency in 2024. This research uses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents by accidential sampling. To determine the answer score on the questionnaire which will be tested for validity and reliability using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis, Pearson Product Moment correlation, determination coefficient test and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, the influence of tourist attractions on the progress of tourist attractions is in a good category, with an average of 4.5449 at the interval of the category very advanced. The test results of the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.586 with a sufficient category and compared with r table = 0.200, where r count> r table (0.586> 0.200) it can be said to be significant and the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Variables This study aims to determine the effect of Principal Academic Supervision and Teacher Competence individually or together on the Quality of Education, with the hypothesis that there is a positive and significant effect between Principal Academic Supervision and Teacher Competence. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study was all junior high school teachers in Doloksanggul District, totaling 176 people with a sample of 125 people. The research instrument was a closed questionnaire, which was compiled by the researcher based on the research variable indicators. The questionnaire trial was conducted on 30 teachers outside the research sample, and has been tested with validity and reliability tests. The results of the study show that: 1). There is a positive effect between Principal Academic Supervision on the Quality of Education obtained from tcount>ttable, namely 5.680>1.980, with a large influence of 42%, and there is a significant effect obtained from Y ̂ = 19.929 + 0.680X_1. 2). There is an influence between Teacher Competence on the Quality of Education of 40.1% with tcount>ttable, namely 5.233>1.980, 3). There is a positive and significant influence between the Principal's Academic Supervision and Teacher Competence together on the Quality of Education of 52.6% with Fcount>Ftable, namely 67.827>3.00, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Desa Wisata Pulau Sibandang memiliki daya tarik wisata yang beragam seperti wisata alam wisata budaya. Berbagai potensi yang dimiliki menunjukkan pentingnya upaya pengembangan Desa Wisata Pulau Sibandang yang terencana dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dan tantangan yang dihadapi unsur-unsur pentahelix dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pulau Sibandang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pulau Sibandang, peran ke lima unsur dalam pentahelix sudah berjalan, namun belum optimal. Khususnya pada peran unsur pelaku usaha. Secara keseluruhan kolaborasi yang terjalin masih minim dan kurang berjalan maksimal sehingga capaian dari upaya pengembangan belum terlihat signifikan. Dalam implementasi pengembangan Desa Wisata Pulau Sibandang, menghadapi berbagai dinamika permasalahan yang menjadi tantangan unsur pentahelix dalam menjalankan perannya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan peran, kolaborasi, pendekatan dan pendampingan yang berkelanjutan untuk mewujudkan pengembangan Desa Wisata Pulau Sibandang menjadi Desa Wisata yang berkembang, maju dan mandiri. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the tourism conditions of Siboruon Tourism Village and explore its development opportunities through the culinary subsector. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data analyzed through SWOT analysis. The findings reveal that Siboruon Tourism Village holds significant potential to be developed as a tourist destination, primarily due to its natural beauty and cultural richness. These strengths serve as the main attraction for visitors, although the development process is still constrained by limited infrastructure, public facilities, and insufficient promotional efforts. Meanwhile, the culinary subsector demonstrates strategic value in supporting tourism growth. Local specialties such as Ayam Rias Siboruon, Otara Coffee, and Selai Toberu not only offer unique flavors but also represent the cultural identity of the community. These authentic culinary products can be developed into gastronomic tourism experiences and high-value souvenirs. The study concludes that the development of Siboruon Tourism Village requires collaborative strategies involving local government, business actors, and the community to strengthen its identity based on local potential in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Abstract: This article explores the systematic integration of Christian values and quality management practices within Christian educational institutions. Employing a theological framework rooted in biblical principles of stewardship, integrity, love, service, and excellence, this study analyses how educational institutions can operationalise their faith commitments into measurable and sustainable quality systems. Through synthesis of theological and empirical literature, this article identifies three critical dimensions: theological foundations for quality management, practical mechanisms for translating values into performance indicators, and leadership models that integrate academic excellence with spiritual formation. Findings indicate that institutions that explicitly align their vision and mission with quality standards experience measurable quality improvements, whereas character-oriented leadership fosters environments conducive to holistic growth. Practical implications include developing strategic indicators aligned with the institutional mission, implementing Christian, value-based human resource practices, and designing curricula that coherently integrate faith and learning. Abstrak: Artikel ini mengeksplorasi integrasi sistematis antara nilai-nilai Kristiani dan praktik manajemen mutu dalam konteks institusi pendidikan Kristen. Dengan menggunakan kerangka teologis yang berakar pada prinsip-prinsip alkitabiah tentang penatalayanan, integritas, kasih, pelayanan, dan keunggulan, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana institusi pendidikan dapat mengoperasionalisasikan komitmen iman mereka ke dalam sistem mutu yang terukur dan berkelanjutan. Melalui sintesis literatur teologis dan empiris, artikel ini mengidentifikasi tiga dimensi kritis: fondasi teologis untuk manajemen mutu, mekanisme praktis untuk menerjemahkan nilai-nilai ke dalam indikator kinerja, dan model kepemimpinan yang mengintegrasikan keunggulan akademik dengan pembentukan spiritual. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa institusi yang secara eksplisit menyelaraskan visi misi dengan standar mutu mengalami peningkatan kualitas yang terukur, sementara kepemimpinan yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter menciptakan lingkungan kondusif bagi pertumbuhan holistik. Implikasi praktis mencakup pengembangan indikator strategis yang mencerminkan misi institusional, implementasi praktik sumber daya manusia berbasis nilai Kristiani, dan desain kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan iman dan pembelajaran secara koheren.
