Abstract

The fast expansion of digital infrastructure requires both advanced technology and optimal human resource performance. The primary objective of this research is to explore how motivation, compensation, and work discipline shapes the performance of employees at PT. Sedayu Cahaya Perkasa. This study utilises a quantitative approach with 53 participants, and data gathering involves the distribution of surveys among the company's employees. Data analysis is conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, supported by SmartPLS 4 software. The findings suggest that motivation has a significant and positive correlation with employee performance. Similarly, compensation has a notable and affirmative impact on employee performance. Additionally, the study reveals that work discipline also plays a crucial role in enhancing performance. Together, motivation, compensation, and work ethic contribute to 90.3% of employee performance (Adjusted R Square = 0.903), while the remaining 9.7% is influenced by undisclosed factors. The findings shed light that organizations can improve productivity by encouraging intrinsic motivation, fair compensation, and effective work discipline.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of supportive coworkers, appropriate rewards, and supportive work environment conditions on employee job satisfaction at the Head Office of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Belawan. The research employed an associative-quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression method. The population consisted of all 209 employees, while the sample included 68 permanent employees who were selected using the Slovin formula and determined through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires in 2025, and the entire analytical process was processed using SPSS 24.0 software. The results showed that supportive coworkers, appropriate rewards, and supportive work environment conditions had a positive and significant influence both partially and simultaneously on employee job satisfaction. The findings also indicated that the appropriate rewards variable was the most dominant factor affecting job satisfaction compared with the other variables. Approximately 85.7% of job satisfaction was explained by the three variables, namely coworkers, rewards, and work environment, with a very strong relationship. These results suggested that perceptions of reward fairness, clarity of reward processes, and recognition of individual contributions had the greatest influence on employees’ evaluations of their work. This study provided empirical contributions to human resource management studies, particularly those related to job satisfaction in the port service industry.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects of human resource development, organizational culture, and total participation on the performance of civil servant employees at the Regional Financial and Asset Agency of North Sumatra Province. This study used a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research population consisted of 95 civil servant employees, and the sample also included 95 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires, and the results were processed using SPSS software version 24. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the relationships between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The results showed that human resource development, organizational culture, and total participation, both partially and simultaneously, had positive and significant effects on employee performance. Human resource development became the most dominant variable influencing employee performance, as it had the highest regression coefficient. The regression analysis produced the equation Y = 6.656 + 0.301X1 + 0.210X2 + 0.185X3 + e. The t-test results indicated that human resource development had a t-value of 3.771 with a significance value of 0.000. Organizational culture had a t-value of 2.695 with a significance value of 0.008, while total participation had a t-value of 2.941 with a significance value of 0.004. The F-test result showed an F-value of 102.138 with a significance value of 0.000. Hypotheses H1, H2, H3, and H4 were proven to be correct and acceptable, as the research findings were consistent with the proposed hypotheses. The coefficient of determination (adjusted R²) of 0.763 indicated that 76.3% of the variation in employee performance could be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining variation was explained by other variables not included in this research model. In addition, the strength of the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable was categorized as very strong, with a correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.878.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work communication, work quality, and career development on employee job satisfaction at PT Nasco (Indopine) in Deli Serdang Regency. A quantitative approach with a descriptive research design was applied, and data analysis was performed using SPSS version 26. The population consisted of all 68 permanent and non-permanent employees, with the sample taken using a non-probability saturated sampling method, meaning the entire population was used as the sample. Partial test results indicate that work communication has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (t_calculated = 27.460 > t_table = 1.99773), work quality also has a positive and significant effect (t_calculated = 16.194 > t_table), and career development has a positive and significant effect as well (t_calculated = 10.587 > t_table). Simultaneously, all three independent variables positively and significantly influence job satisfaction, with F_calculated = 1,592.086 > F_table = 2.75 Hypothesis testing shows that the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 0.986 indicates that 98.6% of the variation in employee job satisfaction is explained by work communication, work quality, and career development, while the remaining 1.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
