Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that moral values are essential; novels, as written works of literature that contain moral values, can motivate readers. The purpose of the research is to describe the form of moral values in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye and the form of moral value delivery used by the author in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye. This type of research is library research. The results of this study found that the form of moral values contained in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye includes the form of moral values in human relationships with themselves, namely self-existence there are 7 data, self-esteem there are 2 data, self-confidence there are 4 data, fear there are 0 data, revenge there are 3 data, loneliness there are 1 data. The form of moral values in human relations with other humans in the social environment, namely solid friendship there are 3 data, betrayal there are 4 data; parental affection for children are 8 data; children's affection for parents there are 2 data; teacher advice to students there are 2 data. The form of moral values in human relationships with God, namely praying to God, has 0 data, and being grateful has 1 data. The form of conveying moral values used by the author in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye, namely the form of conveying moral values directly consists of 15 data, and the form of conveying morals indirectly consists of 5 data.

Abstract

Feminism comes from the Latin femina or woman. The term began to be used in the 1890s, referring to the theory of equality between men and women and the movement to obtain women's rights. This research uses a library research design. The subject of this research is the novel Re: by Maman Suherman. The object of research is feminism found in the novel Re: by Maman Suherman. Important data will be the subject of this research is marked and recorded to be grouped according to feminism, and the struggle of Re: which will be researched. This study found that there are 1 aspect that discusses feminism which is described as part of the right to freedom, 1 aspect that discusses the struggle in the field of education, 0 aspects that discuss the struggle in civil rights, 2 aspects that discuss the struggle in the economic field, 8 aspects that discuss the struggle in the right to express opinions, and 5 aspects that discuss the struggle in the right to assemble. This research aims to describe the study of feminism and describe the struggle of Re: in realizing feminism in the novel Re: by Maman Suherman. As a literary work, novels can be used as a lesson. One of the novels that can be used as learning is the novel Re: by Maman Suherman, which can be utilized to add insight into feminism. This novel can be implied by providing sexual direction or learning from an early age, because the counseling can be used as a guide so that unwanted things do not happen.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berupa pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar digital bermuatan kearifan lokal Sumatera Utara dalam mitigasi bullying di sekolah. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan tahapan-tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan dan perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan, tahap pemantauan, dan tahap evaluasi. Peserta kegiatan adalah guru-guru SMP Negeri 1 Delitua. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran guru mengenai pentingnya kearifan lokal dalam mencegah dan menangani bullying serta memahami pentingnya mengembangkan bahan ajar digital yang inovatif dan relevan dengan konteks lokal dalam mitigasi bullying di sekolah.

Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of the film "Bila Esok Ibu Tiada" using a semiotic approach to explore the representation of a mother's affection for her child. Qualitative descriptive methods are applied to identify and interpret various semiotic signs found in the film, including interactions between characters, storylines, and visual and verbal symbols. By referring to Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory, this study explores the meaning contained in these symbols, showing how the film communicates the complexity of a mother's affection and sacrifice. The results of the analysis show that the symbolism in the film not only conveys emotions, but also highlights social values ​​and deep family relationships.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya bahasa dalam debat capres 2024 dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran di SMA. Gaya bahasa ialah keseluruhan gaya pengarang dalam mengungkapkan idenya ke dalam sebuah tulisan. Gaya itu mencakupi pilihan kata, struktur kalimat, penggunaan majas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori gorys keraf (2002). Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik menyimak, teknik sadap, dengan teknik simak bebas cakap, teknik rekam dan teknik catat dan wawancara informan sebagai bentuk pencaharian data langsung yang kemudian peneliti analisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 32 data. Yang diklasifikasikan dalam 2 jenis yaitu gaya bahasa yaitu gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat dan gaya bahasa tidaknya makna. Gaya bahasa berdasarkan kalimat terdiri dari klimaks 1 data, paralisme 2 data, antitetis 3 data, repetisi 2 data, kemudian Gaya bahasa tidaknya makna terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu gaya bahasa retoris terdiri dari Asidenton 1 data, polisindenton 1 data, eufanisme 1 data, litotes 2 data, pleonasme 2 data, hiperbola 1 data, paradoks 1 data. Dan gaya bahasa kiasan terdiri dari simile 1 data, personifikasi 3 data, alegori 1 data, metafora 1 data, metonimia 2 data, ironi 1 data, sinisme 1 data, sarkasme 1 data, dan stire 1 data. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kajian ini berfokus pada analisis bahasa Indonesia dalam debat Capres 2024 dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran di SMA. Kajian ini juga membahas pentingnya berbahasa dalam perdebatan, dengan fokus pada peran bahasa dalam menyikapi perdebatan tersebut. Studi ini mengidentifikasi empat keterampilan berbahasa khususnya keterampilan menyimak dan berbicara.

Abstract

Literary works are a medium that utilizes language to express human life. The meaning of literary works (poetry, short stories, novels) is not only determined by the structure itself but also the author's background, environment, socio-cultural, political, economic and psychological background. This study aims to analyze the structure of the novel Kita Juga Muda untuk Jatuh Cinta by Aiu Ahra and its implications for learning in schools. This study uses a qualitative approach method. This study carried out 4 stages in analyzing data, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or data verification. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the theme contained in the novel Kita Juga Muda untuk Jatuh Cinta by Aiu is Islamic teenagers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran field trip di era new normal terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita inspiratif pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Delitua. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Delitua yang diambil dua kelas secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes kemampuan menulis teks cerita inspiratif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan tes tulis. Setelah data soal diperoleh dilakukan uji instrumen penelitian dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh metode field trip di era new normal terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita inspiratif kelas eksperimen, dengan nilai rata-rata 76,69 di mana lebih besar dari kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 51,97 dengan hasil = 0,200 dan = 0,05. Adanya pengaruh metode field trip di era new normal terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita inspiratif dari = 1,670 dan 0,338 dengan nilai homogenitas sebesar 0,038 > 0,05.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Roger Fowler's critical discourse model on detik.com online news. The research method used is a qualitative method with descriptive techniques. The data collection method in this research is the documentation method. The object of the research is two news articles that discuss corruption cases with different impacts, namely the Harvey Moeis case with a state loss of Rp 300 trillion and a sentence of 6.5 years, and the corruption case of the Ruteng airport terminal project with a loss of Rp 8 billion and charges of 5 to 8 years. The results showed that the media used linguistic strategies such as classification vocabulary, view restrictions, and marginalization to shape public opinion. In the Harvey Moeis case, the much lighter sentence compared to the amount of state losses reflected the inequality in the justice system, which then led to strong criticism from the public. Meanwhile, in the case of the Ruteng airport terminal project, the media emphasized the severity of the sentence, even though the scale of the loss was much smaller than the Harvey Moeis case. This research confirms that language in the media not only functions as a communication tool, but also has a role in shaping public perceptions of legal justice.

Abstract

This study examines the linguistic landscape of Medan, Indonesia, focusing on how language is used in public spaces to convey power, identity, and social positioning. By analyzing ten different public signs across the city, the research highlights the role of language in shaping communication strategies in a multilingual urban environment. The findings show that English is predominantly used in commercial and professional contexts to signal global prestige and modernity, while Bahasa Indonesia remains the primary language for local communication, governance, and regulatory functions. Additionally, the presence of regional languages such as Mandarin reflects cultural and ethnic identities within the community. This paper illustrates how the strategic use of language in public signage not only informs but also constructs social hierarchies, cultural identities, and power dynamics. Through an applied linguistic lens, the study contributes to understanding how public language use functions as a site of negotiation between local, national, and global forces.
