Abstract

Agriculture is a culture that is very close and attached to Indonesian society. Along with the times, the current cultural situation tends to be unknown to the younger generation. Ethnomathematics exists to bridge between culture and education. This community service aims to describe the ethnomathematical study of tree planting within the scope of reforestation and tree seedlings. This service uses training methods combined with literature studies that use the study of knowledge, ideas and findings contained in the literature so as to provide theoretical and scientific information related to implementation in learning which will later be collaborated with literacy and numeracy-based learning that can make a real contribution to social, economic growth and well-being for individuals and society. By having the skills to be able to apply the understanding of literacy and numeracy in the context of economics, engineering, science, social, and other fields, employment competitiveness and economic welfare will increase.

Abstract

This research is based on the relationship between humans and the environment, the impact of pollution, and human awareness of the environment. The purpose of this research is to describe the representation of the marine environment in the novel Laut Pasang 1994 by Lillpudu, and to describe the concept of ecocriticism according to Grag Garrard. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data sources in this research are sentences or stories that discuss the representation of the marine environment and the concept of literary ecocriticism in the novel Laut Pasang 1994 Karya Lillpudu. The way ecocritical studies work is to understand the science of the environment, therefore the results of this study show that there are representations of the marine environment and the concept of literary ecocriticism. Based on the concepts according to Grag Garrard regarding pollution, there is 1 data explaining the scattered garbage, there are 7 data where the data are houses, fields, and hospitals, 8 data disasters where the data explain the disasters of earthquakes, strong winds, and tsunamis, 0 data wilderness, 1 data animal explaining the existence of chickens, and the earth there are 3 data describing the earth there are stars, the sky, and the sun. The practical implications of this research on ecocritical concepts in the novel Laut Pasang 1994 by Lillpudu, have an important role in building character to care about the environment and awareness of the environment and instill good traits for the environment and family

Abstract

Indonesian language learning on fantasy story material at SMP Al-Washliyah 8 Medan still uses conventional lecture methods that are less interesting for students. This study aims to test the effect of the team quiz method on students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of fantasy stories. This study is a quantitative experiment with a nonequivalent control group pretest-post test design. The sample consisted of 60 students divided into experimental and control classes. Data was collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The results showed that after the application of the team quiz method, the average posttest score of the experimental class increased to 81.5 compared to the control class which only reached 75.8. The t-test analysis showed that tcount> ttable (2.660> 1.701), so it can be concluded that the team quiz method has a significant effect on improving students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of fantasy stories.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat yang berjudul "Peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis TIK” di SMP IT Nurul Ilmi merupakan inisiatif strategis yang dilaksanakan untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan di era digital. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam pembelajaran, terutama mengingat status sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam terpadu yang berkomitmen pada kualitas pendidikan modern. Berdasarkan analisis situasi yang dilakukan, teridentifikasi beberapa permasalahan utama seperti keterbatasan kemampuan teknis guru dalam mengoperasikan teknologi pembelajaran, kesulitan dalam merancang pembelajaran interaktif berbasis TIK, dan belum optimalnya sistem pendampingan pengembangan kompetensi digital guru. Dari keseluruhan jumlah guru yang ada di SMP IT Nurul Ilmi, hanya 20% yang termasuk dalam kategori mahir TIK, sementara 50% berada pada level menengah, dan 30% masih pada tahap pemula. Program pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan berbasis pelatihan. Materi pelatihan mencakup penggunaan Learning Management System, pengembangan konten digital interaktif, dan implementasi assessment digital. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam berbagai aspek. Kemampuan rata-rata guru dalam penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran meningkat, guru telah mampu mengembangkan konten pembelajaran digital, dan guru berhasil mengelola kelas virtual dengan efektif sehingga menunjukkan dampak positif program terhadap kualitas pembelajaran. Program ini telah menunjukkan return yang positif dalam bentuk peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan pengembangan profesional guru. Dengan dukungan berkelanjutan dari seluruh pemangku kepentingan, SMP IT Nurul Ilmi memiliki potensi untuk menjadi model pembelajaran berbasis TIK yang efektif bagi sekolah Islam terpadu lainnya di Indonesia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi struktur dan nilai-nilai sosial dalam novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk Karya Tere Liye, serta relevansi novel sebagai materi pembelajaran apresiasi sastra di SMA. Novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye adalah sebuah novel tentang perjuangan seorang lelaki yang sedang berusaha untuk melepaskan dirinya dari buronan karena dia terbukti tidak bersalah. Tidak diceritakan secara detail maksud dari Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk ini, tetapi kita bisa melihatnya dari beberapa alur tempat yang diceritakan seperti Bali, Jakarta, dan beberapa tempat lainnya. Masalah-masalah yang sedang dihadapi di negeri ini juga sedikit disinggung dalam novel. Salah satu pendekatan yang menjadi kajian dalam skripsi ini adalah pendekatan sosiologi sastra, yaitu pendekatan dengan menganalisis karya sastra dengan mendeskripsikan data objektif, latar belakang penciptaan, dan nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye. Pendekatan sosiologi sastra menekankan kajiannya tentang hubungan pengaruh timbal balik antara sosiologi dan sastra. Pendeskripsian dilakukan dengan mencatat dan meneliti novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye mengenai kajian sosiologi sastra dan nilai sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif-kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Peserta didik digunakan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye sebagai materi ajar apresiasi sastra pada jenjang SMA. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah analisis struktural, dengan tema utama dalam novel Pulang adalah politik yang ada di Indonesia dan tema tambahannya adalah percintaan dan persahabatan. Tokoh yang dianalisis adalah tokoh utama dan tambahan. Alur yang terdapat di dalam novel Pulang adalah campuran, dengan latar yang terjadi di Hongkong, Makau, dan Jakarta. Implementasi hasil penelitian novel Negeri Di Ujung Tanduk Karya Tere Liye sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA relevan dengan standar kompetensi karena sesuai dengan potensi peserta didik dan memiliki kebermanfaatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui maskulinitas dan feminitas dalam novel Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas karya Eka Kurniawan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang gender dan ketidakadilan gender pada novel Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas. Khususnya di Indonesia, ketidakadilan gender bagi perempuan yaitu marginalisai, subordinasi, kekerasan, dan beban kerja yang lebih panjang. Novel ini menceritakan tentang seorang gadis yang berparas cantik dan pandai berkelahi. Iteung namanya, Iteung pandai berkelahi karena dia merupakan korban pemerkosaan dan pelecehan seksual. Pengalamaan pemerkosaan itu menjadi trauma bagi Iteung. Sebagai pengalihannya, Iteung menjadi pribadi yang maskulin. Pada masa sekolah ia di cabuli, diperkosa, dan dilecehkan fisik dan psikisnya. Guru yang bernama pak Toto adalah guru yang selalu sering mencabuli Iteung terus menerus ketika jam pulang sekolah. Penelitian ini, menggunakan metode content anaysis dengan cara menggelompokan unsur intrinsik, maskulinitas, dan feminitas juga faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Iteung menjadi maskulin. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan unsur intrinsik dalam novel Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas karya Eka Kurniawan. Kemudian, mendeskripsikan maskulinitas dan feminitas yang terdapat dalam novel juga faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi Iteung (tokoh) menjadi sosok yang maskulin. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penggumpulan data adalah dengan mencatat hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan novel Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas Hasil dari penelitian ini ditentukan bahwa unsur intrinsiknya bertema kekerasan, dengan tokoh Iteung, Ajo Kawir, Jelita, Si tokek, Iwan Wangsa, Rona merah, dan lain-lainya. Alur dalam novel ini campuran, dengan latar yang beragam yakni rumah Iteung, kolam Pak Lebe, silat kalimasada. Gaya bahasa di dalam novel yaitu hiperbola dan simile. Serta, amanat yang terdapat dalam novel ini adalah akibat dari perbuatan orang-orang tidak bertanggung jawab, mereka yang tidak bersalah menjadi trauma dan merubah dirinya menjadi orang lain. Terdapat 49 data yang menunjukkan maskulinitas dan feminitas dalam kutipan di novel Seperti Dendam, Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas karya Eka Kurniawan yaitu mengenai tentang marginalisaisi, kekerasaan, dan bekan kerja yang lebih panjang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa menulis teks fabel dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran active learning pada siswa kelas VII SMP Dwitunggal Tanjung Morawa Tahun Pembelajaran 2018-2019. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-1 dengan jumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model active learning dan kelas VII-2 dengan jumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol yang dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model ceramah. Model dalam penelitian ini adalah model eksperimen dengan desain penelitian menggunakan pre-test dan post-test only design group yaitu model yang melibatkan perlakuan yang berbeda-beda antara dua kelompok. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes. Dengan pengolahan data dalam model active learning menggunakan program Microsoft Excel. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena dalam proses pembelajaran menulis cerita fabel dibutuhkan suatu model yang dapat merangsang daya imajinasi, ide, kemampuan dalam cara belajar aktif dalam memecahkan masalah yaitu berfungsi dalam menyederhanakan masalah. Agar keterampilan menulis dapat terealisasikan dan mudah untuk dipecahkan serta dipahami. Maka, seorang guru harus memperhitungkan model yang tepat dalam pembelajaran yang digunakan. Model pembelajaran yang dipilih oleh penulis adalah model pembelajaran Active Learning. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai hitung thitung kelas kontrol (80.4) dikonsultasikan pada kelas kontrol dengan pada taraf 5% dengan df (N1+N2)-2 = (34+34)-2 = 69-2 = 66. Pada dengan df = 66 diperoleh tabel pada taraf signitifikan 5% = 1.66, karena yang diperoleh lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 80.4 > 1.66, maka hipotesis nihil () ditolak maka hipotesis alternatif () diterima dan kelas eksperimen (82.1) dikonsultasikan pada kelas kontrol dengan pada taraf 5% dengan df (N1+N2)-2 = (35+35)-2 = 70-2 = 68. Pada dengan df = 68 diperoleh tabel pada taraf signitifikan 5% = 1.66, karena yang diperoleh lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 82.1 > 1.66, maka hipotesis nihil () ditolak maka hipotesis alternatif () diterima.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between learning to write poetry using the video critic method and learning to write poetry without using the video critic method and to determine the effect of the video critic method on the ability to write poetry in class X high school students. The type of research carried out is quantitative with an experimental method that uses a research design of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa, with a sample consisting of two classes, namely class X IIS 1 as the control class and class X MIA 1 as the experimental class. Each class consists of 30 students who are selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique by means of a lottery. Data collection techniques are used in the form of pretest and posttest. The results showed that: 1) the average pretest score for the control class was 41.73 with a maximum score of 52 and a minimum score of 32 and an average post-test score for the control class of 66.13 with a maximum score of 76 and a minimum score of 56. while the acquisition of the average pretest value for the experimental class is 46.53 with a maximum value of 60 and a minimum value of 36 and the posttest average value for the experimental class is 70.33 with a maximum value of 84 and a minimum value of 60, 2) the results of hypothesis testing which was consulted with the table at a significant level of 5% with df = N - nr = (60-2) = 58, obtaining a t-table value of 2.39 which is smaller than t-count, which is 3.785 (3.785 > 2.39). So with a significant value of 0.00 <0.05, it indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, 3) the results of the calculation of the value of d (large influence) obtain a value of 0.6 with the percentage of effect caused by 38.2% in the high category. Therefore, based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the video critic method has a high effect on the ability to write poetry in class X students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the intrinsic elements of the 2014 Kompas Selected Short Story Collection; (2) The relevance of the 2014 Kompas Selected Short Story Collection as literature learning material in high school. The research approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative using structural methods and content analysis strategies. The data source used is the 2014 Kompas Selected Short Story Collection. The conclusions of this research are: (1) the intrinsic elements contained in the 2014 Kompas Selected Short Story Collection include plot, characterization, setting, theme, message, point of view and language style. These elements differ from one short story to another. (2) A collection of short stories selected by Kompas 2014 and their teaching as a result of the analysis of the intrinsic elements contained in the short stories Kompas 2014 are relevant when used in teaching literature in high school. The results of the research findings with a structural study indicate that there are (1) short stories in the body of Tarra, in the Tree Rahim: (a) socio-cultural themes, (b) canpuran plots, (c) place settings; passiliran, time setting; morning and evening, background atmosphere; tense, (d) Runduma, Lola, Ambe, Indo, (tarra tree), Runduma's grandfather, (e) first person point of view. (2) The striped tiger short story: (a) the theme of forest-life exploitation, (b) mixed plot, (c) the menot character (striped tiger), (d) the setting; hamlet of the Great Prison, time setting; day and night, social setting; community (e) language style; typical of Sumatra, (f) point of view; the third person. (3) Short story The Death of a Demonstrator: (a) the theme of the struggle, (b) the plot backwards, (c) the setting; auditorium, Ratih's house, campus roundabout, in front of campus, rented house, Eka's boarding room, alleys and Munarman street, time setting; morning, afternoon and evening, background atmosphere; joking, sad and tense, (d) characters: Ratih, Eka, and Arman (Munarman), (e) point of view: third person omniscient. (4) The short story Bukit Cahaya: (a) moral theme, (b) forward plot, (c) setting; office, hamlet, bay, small huts, house, time setting; evening, social setting; offices and villages, (b) laur-forward, (c) place settings; bus stops, highways, food stalls, cafes, cars, (d) sales executive youth figures, working women, (e) first person point of view. (6) Short story of Woman and Ants in Her Head: (a) negative thinking theme, (b) forward flow, (c) setting; garden, house, room, time setting; morning and evening, (d) character; woman, her husband, woman (paranoit), (e) third person point of view. The value of character education is found in each short story. The use of the method of studying literary works through the structure is expected to increase students' interest in deepening and appreciating the literary works of Indonesian writers. In addition, this structural study can make literature learning in high school more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide a reflection of the state of cooperation between subject teachers and guidance and counseling teachers at school. In addition, it can provide subject teachers with an understanding that they have an important role in achieving the success of guidance and counseling services at school. The improvement of students' learning is not only related to what happens in the classroom; it also requires learning activities that can be applied by students in their social lives and in their future. Subject teachers need to pay attention and develop the potential of students through cooperation in the implementation of guidance and counseling service activities. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative, using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The research subjects were 20 guidance and counseling teachers from 15 schools in Medan City, divided into 3 SMP, 1 Mts, 4 SMA, 5 SMK dan 2 MAS. Research results: 1.There are still many subject teachers who have not optimally carried out their duties and roles in guidance and counseling service activities; 2.There is still a lot of cooperation between guidance and counseling teachers and subject teachers around dealing with problem children. Problems that are often reported to the guidance and counseling teacher through the homeroom teacher, namely tardiness, excessive absences, skipping/dropping subjects or school hours, politeness, discipline, and quarrels. Cooperation between subject teachers and guidance and counseling teachers in student self-development, evaluation/assessment and follow-up of cases, referral of cases to the subject teacher again, case conferences and home visits still do not occur optimally.
