Abstract

This research aims to describe the five basic needs fulfillment according to Abraham Maslow's theory, namely fulfilling basic physiological needs, fulfilling the need for security, fulfilling the need for love of belonging, fulfilling the need for self-esteem, and finally fulfilling the need for self-actualization. This research is qualitative descriptive research. This data collection technique is carried out by reading, listening and taking notes. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and the final step is drawing conclusions. The theory used in this research is Abraham Maslow's basic needs motivation theory, with a review of psychological literature. The data source in this research is the novel entitled Women Who Cry to the Black Moon by Dian Purnomo. Based on the study and discussion of the research results, it can be concluded that the main character in the novel Wanita Yang Cried to the Black Moon by Dian Purnomo can fulfill all her basic needs. (1) Motivation to fulfill basic physiological needs appeared in 25 data, which included the need to eat and drink, the need for clothing, the need for rest, the need for shelter and the need for air. (2) Motivation to fulfill the need for security appeared in 27 data. (3) Motivation to fulfill the need for love and belonging appeared in 25 data. (4) Motivation to fulfill the need for self-esteem appeared in 13 data. (5) Motivation to fulfill self-actualization needs appeared in 14 data.

Abstract

This research was carried out against the background of player behavior in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang game, in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang game Toxic behavior often occurs in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang Online Game, where this behavior often occurs when in a team there is a player who plays very aggressively. bad, doing feeders, differences in countries, differences in ethnicity, even differences in religion and so on. This research aims to find out (1) How toxic behavior takes the form of sarcasm in the online game Mobile Legends Bang Bang, (2) How toxic behavior takes the form of cynicism in the online game Mobile Legends Bang Bang. This research is field research and uses a qualitative approach. The research location is the barracks/boarding house where you live. Data sources in this research include data on the research location and data regarding mobile legends from players and barrack/boarding house owners. Secondary data consists of data from the online game Mobile Legends and toxic behavior obtained from other sources. The data collection technique used is through observation and documentation. For technical data analysis using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Toxic in the form of sarcasm is a rude insult intended to hurt other people in the Mobile Legends game. The team is annoyed at players who are considered bad and burden the team. Toxic cynicism criticizes in a frank language style that fits the facts. Cynicism or excessive skepticism is a condescending attitude that is detrimental and hurts the feelings of others. It involves negative or cynical judgments of other people, ideas, or situations with the aim of ridiculing or feeling better than the other person. This text will be shortened to a few sentences or important points, while maintaining the essence of the information conveyed.

Abstract

This research aims to describe (1) Moral values ​​in myths in Central Katingan sub-district. (2) People's views on moral values ​​in myths in Central Katingan sub-district. (3) The implications of moral values ​​in myths in Central Katingan sub-district for learning Indonesian language and literature in high school. This research uses qualitative descriptive research which is defined as Moral Values ​​in Myths in Katingan Tengah District and Their Implications for Learning Indonesian Language and Literature in High School. In collecting data, this research used observation, interviews and documentation methods. Meanwhile, the steps for this data analysis technique are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. As a result of this research, the author found that there were (1) 18 total data from myths consisting of 7 myths about human relationships with their personal lives, while there were 2 myths between humans and other humans, and there were 8 myths about human relationships with God. Moral values ​​actually teach us to maintain good manners and behavior, words and deeds wherever we are and with this myth we respect each other. Therefore, the underlying belief system means that an analysis is needed to be able to answer the aim of this research, namely to describe the belief system that underlies the customs and customs of a belief or myth. Basically, the moral values ​​in myths teach us about politeness, behavior, and respect for cultural customs that apply to religious life (2) Views about myths are the result of human thoughts related to human lives at that time, then they believe these thoughts as outlook on life in meeting their non-physical (thought) needs. (3) The results of this research are used and have implications for class Retell the contents of folk tales (hikayat) that have been heard and read.

Abstract

This community service aims to teach dragon fruit farmer groups about how to utilize household waste to make liquid organic fertilizer and how to understand how to do it. Organic waste can be controlled and utilized to make organic fertilizer, which will cut production costs as fertilizer prices continue to increase, affecting farmers' income. The transfer of science and technology in the form of efficient and effective organic fertilizer training should always be included in the development of farmers' skills. The targets of this activity are farmers in Sabaru Village, Sabangau District, Palangka Raya City. These farmers are expected to be more creative and innovative in solving the problem of fertilizer prices and managing waste properly. One of them is by making liquid organic fertilizer made from household waste. It is hoped that this liquid organic fertilizer can increase the income of farmers, as well as how farmers can utilize household waste obtained from the surrounding environment. This activity is part of the PKM Postgraduate PLS work program at Palangka Raya University and took place from June to early July 2024. The techniques used in this activity were lectures, discussions, and questions and answers, as well as direct practice in making liquid fertilizer using household waste as natural ingredients and utilizing EM4 (Effective Microorganisms) bioactivator. The results of this activity showed a level of success, with evidence of increased understanding and proficiency in using EM4 bioactivator. It can be seen through the ability practiced by farmers in treating EM4 bioactivator proficiently, from not knowing to understanding and being able to make natural liquid fertilizer using EM4 bioactivator and utilizing household waste.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to overcome the limited time for public speaking practice which results in the lack of readiness of Field Work Practice (PKL) participants in discussions and debates, as well as improving ineffective communication between PKL participants and trainers so that the learning process can run more smoothly. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to understand the experiences of participants during PKL at the Language and Arts Department, Palangka Raya University, focusing on exploring the work environment, work ethic, and social relationships. The location of the study was at the Language and Arts Education Department, Palangka Raya University with the research subjects being students who had undergone PKL for three months. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that limited time for public speaking practice resulted in a lack of readiness of participants in facing discussion and debate situations. The solutions implemented included adding practice sessions outside official hours and on weekends. In addition, the lack of effective communication between PKL participants and trainers was identified as an obstacle in the learning process. To overcome this problem, better communication media, such as social media groups or messaging applications, were implemented to facilitate the exchange of information.

Abstract

Introduction to School Field Experience (PLP I) is a process of observation and internship conducted by undergraduate education students to study the aspects of teaching and educational management in educational institutions, which is essential for students. This activity aims to familiarize each student with the atmosphere and activities of schooling through direct observation in relevant schools. The objectives of this activity are to develop education majors' competencies in academic education and their specific field of study, to understand the teaching and learning environment directly in a school setting, and to prepare students to understand and embrace their future profession. Observation activities are carried out through direct observation. The aspects observed during direct observation include: (1) school culture, (2) school organizational structure and governance, (3) school vision and mission, (4) co-curricular and extracurricular activities, (5) school rules and regulations, (6) ceremonial-formal activities, and (7) positive behavioral practices.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the types of deixis contained in a collection of short stories titled Yang Aku Pikirkan by Wagiman and Khaidar Naufal Pasingsingan, (2) describe the function of deixis contained in a collection of short stories titled Yang Aku Pikirkan by Wagiman and Khaidar Naufal Pasingsingan, (3) describe the implications of this research on learning to write short stories in high school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of data in this study is the text of the short story collection Yang Aku Pikirkan by Wagiman and Khaidar Naufal Pasingsingan. The data research procedure in this study is carried out by reading, marking, sorting, identifying, and analyzing data. The results of this study show that there are five types of deixis in the collection of short stories, namely the personal deixis, the deixis of time, the deixis of place, the deixis of discourse, and the social deixis. There are 5 short stories that have all kinds of deixis in full in it, namely, Sebuah Pelajaran, Novel Tidak Bermutu, Idul Adha bersama Teman, Sore Hari di Pantai Kuta, and Bangkit. The most data is found in the personal deixis and deixis of discourse. The use of deixis in short story collections has implications for learning to write short stories in high school, KD 4.9 constructs a short story by paying attention to the elements that build short stories. Students can learn the importance of deixis in short stories as an addition to students' advanced knowledge in making short stories after paying attention to the elements of short story builders, so as to produce short stories that can be enjoyed when reading it.

Abstract

The training and evaluation assistance based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is motivated by the teacher's pedagogic competence in developing the evaluation of learning outcomes that are still conventional. Therefore, community service that is carried out is based on the aim of increasing the ability of teachers to make questions that can encourage students to have the ability to analyze (C4), evaluate (C5), and create (C6). The program is Training on Preparation of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for Indonesian Language Teachers in Palangka Raya City. This PKM activity is carried out by providing training and assistance in preparing lesson plans and making questions based on the guidelines for writing HOTS questions. Through lecture and practical methods, this training was able to open up the knowledge and understanding of teachers about the preparation of HOTS-based lesson plans, as well as improve the ability and skills of teachers in making questions at the level of higher-order thinking skills. So, that it can be used to measure the development of students thinking and reasoning correctly following the expected final learning outcomes, the whole community service activity can be successful. However, not all of the mentoring participants have mastered how to prepare HOTS questions.

Abstract

This research examines the role of parents in encouraging students' learning achievement at SMP Negeri 8 Palangka Raya. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in encouraging student achievement in all conditions at SMP Negeri 8 Palangka Raya. The method used was descriptive method with interview techniques to two interviewee with different socio-economic backgrounds. The results showed that parents' involvement in guiding students, implementing time discipline, limiting the use of gadgets, and providing moral support and learning facilities play an important role in the success of students' academic and non-academic achievements. The challenges faced, such as time constraints and busy work schedules, both interviewee still try to support students' education through monitoring technology, open communication, and providing learning motivation. This research confirms that socio-economic status in various conditions is not the main factor that determines learner achievement, but rather the support and active involvement of parents.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how Meta AI can be used in creating engaging and educational illustrations through children's stories, as well as analyzing its strengths and weaknesses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the potential of Meta AI in making children's story illustrations. Data was obtained through: literature studies on Meta AI applications and trial illustration making using Meta AI. The results of the study show that Meta AI has great potential in producing illustrations that meet the needs of learning with high accessibility and creative exploration capabilities. However, limited contextual understanding, lack of human touch, and copyright issues are the main challenges. This study recommends collaboration between AI developers and human illustrators to optimize the quality of illustrations as well as training for educators in utilizing this technology.
