Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of hyperactive student learning behavior in mathematics. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection methods werethe observation, interview, and documentation. The research instrument was the observation sheet, interview guidelines, and the researcher himself. The data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that 1) the cognitive learning behavior of hyperactive students, especially in the topic about exponent. There are several behaviors that are indicated, namely: a. given a quiz, students are able to use their reasoning and to develop their own knowledge about the answers to the problems given, even though the results of students' answers are wrong, b. students cannot solve mathematical problems that are the calculation of rank multiplication, division of rank, and the nature of the other ranks, c. students are slow in accepting learning material, d. students cannot concentrate on the process of learning mathematics, he tends to draw pictures or doodle on his book. 2) the affective learning behavior of hyperactive students shown, namely: a. when the learning process students often leave their seats and often hit their friends suddenly, and speak without control, b. students cannot be held responsible when leading a group discussion, c. students often violate school rules.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop valid and practical a digital mathematics book scientific on the topic of quadratic equations. This research using the ADDIE development model, which includes 5 stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instrument used is a form of media assessment sheets by media expert and material expert to measure the validity and students and teacher response questionnaires to measure the practicality of a digital mathematics book. Respondents for the product trial are 10 students of class VIII,1. The results showed that the product satisfies validity criteria based on the assessment by material expert and media expert. The product satisfies practicality criteria based on students response are categorized as strong and teacher response is categorized as very strong.

Abstract

This study aims to identify misconceptions on logarithm of students at class X. This research is categorized as descriptive research with quantitative approach. Subjects in this study were students of class X, selected with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by diagnostic test method. Instrument in this study is multiple choice test with four choices of answers. Students are also required to fill in the CRI score as a student's level of confidence in the chosen answer. Students’ understanding categories are obtained from combination of diagnostic test results (true or false) with CRI values (high or low). The results of this study indicate that the highest category of conceptual understanding of the logarithmic material of students at Class X senior high school is the misconception category. Students' misconceptions on logarithmic material still occur in each indicator. The percentage of students who experience the highest misconceptions at indicators that discuss understanding the values of various logarithmic forms and able to sort the logarithmic numbers from the smallest number to the largest number. The lowest misconception occurs at indicators that discuss using logarithmic properties in solving simple logarithmic equations.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana prosedur, jenis kegiatan dan kontribusi mahasiswa matematika pada kegiatan magang/PKL, serta relevansi antara kegiatan magang mahasiswa matematika dengan matakuliah yang telah ditempuh di perguruan tinggi. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah aktivitas magang yang telah dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika Universitas Negeri Makassar di PT Telkom Witel Makassar Unit War Room selama Bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2020. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen utama dan terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan magang. Prosedur pelaksanaan magang merupakan serangkaian kegiatan yang perlu diikuti oleh mahasiswa sebagai peta atau kompas agar mahasiswa peserta magang tidak salah arah dan bisa menyelesaikan program magang dengan sebaik-baiknya. Adapun kegiatan dan kontribusi mahasiswa pada kegiatan magang diataranya adalah melakukan analisis data (collecting data wilayah Telkom Witel Makassar, menejemen data harian, membuat weakly activity, rekap data reward War Room, rekap activity plan), Google Data Studio, pelatihan Telegram Bot, rebranding plaza daerah, serta kegiatan tambahan lainnya. Beberapa kegiatan tersebut sangat relevan dengan matakuliah yang telah ditempuh di bangku kuliah. Praktikan mengambil kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan magang sangat bermanfaat baik bagi mahasiswa maupun instansi pihak mitra.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at the Sahabat Yatim Orphanage in Makassar, aiming to empower orphanage children through handicraft training and sharia-based marketing education. The method used includes preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The children were taught to create bead crafts such as bracelets and keychains, and were also introduced to Islamic marketing principles such as honesty and fairness. The results showed an increase in participants’ entrepreneurial skills and understanding, as well as successful product sales through direct practice. Additionally, social assistance was provided, and a strong emotional bond was established between the organizers and the children. This activity serves as a real example of how practical training combined with Islamic values can promote self-reliance among orphaned children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang perhatian orang tua, kemandirian belajar, dan kedisiplinan belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Takalar. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 55 siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 4 Takalar tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Persepsi siswa tentang perhatian orang tua, kemandirian belajar, dan kedisiplinan belajar siswa berada dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan hasil belajar matematika siswa berada dalam kategori rendah, (2) Persepsi siswa tentang perhatian orang tua tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, (3) Kemandirian belajar tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, (4) Kedisiplinan belajar tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, (5) Persepsi siswa tentang perhatian orang tua tidak berpengaruh tidak langsung (melalui kedisiplinan belajar) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, (6) Kemandirian belajar tidak berpengaruh tidak langsung (melalui kedisiplinan belajar) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of investment, labor, and government expenditure on economic growth in South Sulawesi during the period 2014–2024. Using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the analysis applies multiple linear regression and t-tests with a panel data approach processed through SPSS 25. The dependent variable is regional economic growth measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices, while the independent variables include realized investment, labor force participation, and government expenditure. The results reveal that investment shows a negative but insignificant effect on economic growth, indicating that capital inflows have not been effectively directed toward productive sectors that stimulate regional output. Labor exhibits a positive but statistically insignificant influence, suggesting that an increase in workforce quantity is not yet accompanied by sufficient productivity and skills development. Similarly, government expenditure demonstrates a negative and insignificant effect, implying inefficiencies in public spending allocation and a dominant share of non-productive expenditures. These findings highlight the structural challenges faced by South Sulawesi in translating investment, labor force expansion, and fiscal policy into tangible economic outcomes. The study contributes empirical evidence specific to the regional context and suggests that policymakers should focus on improving investment quality, enhancing human capital, and reallocating government spending toward productive sectors to achieve sustainable growth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap prestasi belajar matematika dan kecerdasan interpersonal siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Sinjai. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment) dengan desain posttest only group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Sinjai dan dipilih dua kelas secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar matematika siswa memiliki rata-rata skor 77,96 pada kelas eksperimen (kooperatif tipe STAD) dan 63,56 pada kelas kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional) dan kecerdasan interpersonal siswa memiliki rata-rata skor 101,5 pada kelas eksperimen (kooperatif tipe STAD) dan 94,2 pada kelas kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional). Analisis inferensial menunjukkan adanya perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika dan kecerdasan interpersonal antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan pembelajaran konvensional yang mana prestasi belajar matematika dan kecerdasan interpersonal siswa lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Kooperatif tipe STAD, Konvensional, Prestasi Belajar Matematika, Kecerdasan Interpersonal.

Abstract

Salmonella typhi infection remains a public health concern, necessitating natural treatment alternatives. This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial activity and identify the active compounds of jackfruit seed (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk) ethanol extract against S. typhi in vitro. Antibacterial activity was tested using the well diffusion method at extract concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, with chloramphenicol and 10% DMSO as positive and negative controls. All extract concentrations produced significant inhibition zones (mean: 19.83 mm to 31.42 mm; p<0.05). Phytochemical screening revealed flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, and saponins as the active compounds. Antibacterial efficacy increased with concentration and was comparable to chloramphenicol (mean: 33.49 mm). These results indicate that jackfruit seed extract holds promise as a natural antibacterial agent against S. typhi.
