Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model to increase student learning activeness in Natural Sciences (IPA) lessons in class V SDN Ngale 01. The PBL method involves students in solving real problems that are relevant to the context of everyday life, thereby encouraging active engagement and better understanding of concepts. This study used a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest control group research design. The research sample consisted of two randomly selected classes, namely the experimental class that applied the PBL model and the control class that applied conventional learning methods. Data on student activeness was collected through observation and statistical analysis was used to compare differences in active learning between the two groups. The results showed that the application of the PBL Model significantly increased students' active learning in science lessons. Students who engage in the PBL Model show more active participation in learning, including group discussion, problem solving, and critical thinking. They also showed greater interest in science lessons and the ability to relate concepts to real situations.This research has important implications for education practitioners and science teachers in elementary schools in increasing student learning engagement. The PBL model can be used as an alternative effective learning method to encourage student participation and a deeper understanding of concepts. Future research can involve a larger sample and see the impact of applying the PBL Model on student learning outcomes as a whole.

Abstract

Ecological intelligence needs to be taught from elementary school age in order to have awareness of the environment. The aim of this research is to describe Indonesian language learning with eco pedagogical content to increase ecological awareness. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were 15 grade 5 students at SDN Bulu 3 Madiun. Data collection techniques were tests and observations. Data is analyzed by reviewing observation data, reduction by sorting data, presentation by organizing data, and data reduction. The results of the research show that environmental material in Indonesian language learning takes the form of caring for the environment and caring for waste. The observation results show that ecological awareness is in the high category with a score of 4. The implementation of Indonesian language learning has educational content, obtaining recycled products, posters, and observation reports. Meanwhile, the Indonesian language proficiency test results obtained an average of 78.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to: 1) explain the conditions of class 4 elementary schools in Madiun City; 2) describe and explain the model for developing virtual animation media containing local wisdom for learning to read for grade 4 students; 3) describe and explain the effectiveness of virtual animation media products containing local wisdom for learning to read through the Mind Mapping method for grade 4 elementary school students. This type of development research useD the simplified Borg and Gall method in 4 stages: exploration, design development, testing, and deployment. Data analysis was done using descriptive analysis, feasibility tests with criteria scores, and reading comprehension tests with t-tests. Results of the research were: 1) students still use thematic book media. Learning to read was still a task of answering questions. 2) the needs and characteristics of learning media were summarized as follows, (a) attractive animated media according to basic competencies in the curriculum, with local wisdom content (b) easy to use, (c) equipped with evaluations to measure students' reading comprehension. 3) the test results were categorized as good and feasible. (4) Media effectiveness showed a value of 0.29 greater than 0.05. The homogeneity test at the extensive test stage received a value of 0.109 which indicated significance, and the normality test with a value of 0.622 which means the population had homogeneous variance. The results of the Tukey test showed differences between the experimental and control groups. Virtual animation media is effective in reading comprehension through the mind mapping method for grade 4 students.

Abstract

Limbah plastik tetap menjadi tantangan lingkungan yang signifikan, terutama dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekologi. Pembuangan limbah plastik ke air dan tanah memperburuk kerusakan lingkungan dan menyebabkan pencemaran. Inisiatif pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada ibu-ibu rumah tangga di dusun Jati, desa Rejosari, untuk mendaur ulang limbah plastik menjadi produk bernilai jual. Dengan membekali peserta keterampilan pengelolaan sampah, program ini mengubah limbah plastik menjadi kerajinan yang bernilai, seperti tas anyaman, guna meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga sekaligus mendorong keberlanjutan lingkungan. Program ini melibatkan 20 peserta dan dilaksanakan selama dua bulan dengan pendekatan terstruktur mencakup analisis situasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa semua peserta aktif mengikuti pelatihan, dengan tingkat kehadiran 100%. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa tas anyaman dengan hiasan dari limbah plastik, yang tidak hanya menarik tetapi juga berpotensi meningkatkan pendapatan hingga 70% dalam waktu empat minggu. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pemberdayaan melalui pengelolaan limbah dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan.

Abstract

The recent phenomenon is that on every inch of empty sidewalk, in front of shops, in front of schools, and on the side of the road there must be sellers of sweet drinks, especially jumbo tea. Excessive sweet drinks can increase the risk of diseases caused by excess sugar such as diabetes and obesity. The purpose of this community service activity (PkM) is to increase the knowledge of Teguhan Village health cadres regarding the dangers of obesity, diabetes, and the benefits of stevia. The community service methods used include counseling about the dangers of diabetes, obesity, stevia plant cultivation, and joint practice in planting and processing stevia plants until ready for consumption. This PKM activity resulted in an increase in knowledge among cadres by 63%. The percentage of knowledge before being given counseling regarding obesity, diabetes, and stevia was only an average of 28% and after the PKM activity ended, the average knowledge of cadres increased to 91%. These results are expected to reduce the use of cane sugar switch to stevia sugar and spread their knowledge to the surrounding community so that more people know about the benefits of stevia plants.

Abstract

Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Multimedia Interaktif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV tema 7. True Eksperimental design adalah metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Faktor yang mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian dikarenakan rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV di SDN 01 Ploso pada tema 7. Jumlah siswa kels eksperimen di SDN 01 Ploso berjumlah 17 dan kelas kontrol SDN 02 Ploso berjumlah 17. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan soal tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 soal. Untuk pengumpulan data kelas kontrol dilaksanakan di SDN 02 Ploso. Setelah data hasil tes dianalisis menggunakan uji-t diperoleh Thitung 4.317 lebih besar dari 2.131 Ttabel. Rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 81.76 sedangkan kelas kontrol berjumlah 66.18. Siswa yang lulus KKM pada kelas eksperimen lebih banyak setelah diterapkan multimedia interaktif sebanyak 16 siswa dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang hanya 4 siswa, sehingga penggunaan multimedia interaktif berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.Abstrak in English:This study aims to determine the effect of interactive multimedia on student achievement in grade IV theme 7. True experimental design is the method used in this study. The factor that encourages researchers to conduct research is due to the low learning achievement of grade IV students at SDN 01 Ploso on theme 7. The number of experimental class students at SDN 01 Ploso is 17 and the control class at SDN 02 Ploso is 17.Data collection techniques are carried out by providing selected test questions. doubles totaling 20 questions. The data collection for the control class was carried out at SDN 02 Ploso. After the data from the test results were analyzed using the t-test, it was obtained that tcount was 4.317 greater than 2.131 t table. The average score for the experimental class was 81.76, while the control class was 66.18. There were more students who passed the KKM in the experimental class after implementing interactive multimedia as many as 16 students compared to the control class which only 4 students, so the use of interactive multimedia had an effect on student achievement.

Abstract

Matematika sering dianggap sulit bagi siswa kelas 6karena belum menguasai konsep materi dari kelas. Hal ini terjadi di sekolah dasar Duren 02. Kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa salah satunya pada materi pecahan, di mana siswa kesulitan dalam operasi hitung pecahan yang berbeda bentuk pecahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika melalui model pembelajaran Think Pair Share pada siswa kelas kelas 6. Tempat penelitian di SDN Duren 02 Pilangkenceng Madiun. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek penelitian adalah kelas 6 SDN Duren 02ngan jumlah 14 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes soal matematika berupa operasi hitung pecahan dengan jenis soal pilihan ganda dan uraian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes dan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data hasil observasi dan tes, reduksi data, penyajian dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran dengan model think pair share menunjukkan dampak positif dan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar yaitu siklus 1 sebanyak 43% dan siklus 2 sebesar 79%. Penggunaan model pembelajaran think pair share diharapkan  tidak hanya digunakan di kelas 6 tetapi juga kelas lain.   Mathematics is often considered difficult for 6th-grade students because they have not mastered the concept of the material from the class. This happened at Duren 02 Elementary School. One of the difficulties faced by students is in the fraction material, where students have difficulty in calculating fractions that have different fraction forms. This study aims to determine the improvement in mathematics learning outcomes through the Think Pair Share learning model in 6th-grade students. The research location was at SDN Duren 02 Pilangkenceng Madiun. This study is a qualitative study with the type of classroom action research. The subjects of the study were 14 students in class 6 of SDN Duren 02. The instrument used in this study used a mathematics test in the form of fractional arithmetic operations with multiple choice and descriptive questions. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests and observations. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data from observations and tests, data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that learning with the think pair share model showed a positive impact and increased learning completeness, namely cycle 1 by 43% and cycle 2 by 79%. The use of the think pair share learning model is expected to be used not only in class 6 but also in other classes.

Abstract

This study examines the construction of masculinity in the lyrics of Javanese pop songs by Denny Caknan using Janet Saltzman Chafetz’s seven dimensions of masculinity. Employing a qualitative descriptive method and content analysis, ten popular songs were selected through purposive sampling. The emotional dimension was the most dominant among the seven dimensions analyzed, followed by personal characteristics and interpersonal dimensions. This indicates that masculinity in Denny Caknan’s songs is primarily expressed through emotions, social relationships, and male personality traits. The intellectual and functional dimensions were moderately represented, suggesting that men in Javanese pop songs are also portrayed through their thoughts and actions in social life. Meanwhile, the physical and sexual dimensions were less prominent, indicating that physical strength and sexual identity are not the primary aspects of masculinity construction in Denny Caknan’s Javanese pop songs. This study contributes to gender studies by providing insights into how masculinity is constructed in contemporary Javanese pop music.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat yang berjudul Pemanfaatan Limbah Minyak Jelantah menjadi Lilin Aromaterpi sebagai Upaya Pengendalian Pencemaran ini melibatkan Ibu-ibu di Desa Teguhan, Kecamatan Jiwan, Kabupaten Madiun, yang mana telah dilaksanakan sejak bulan Februari hingga April 2025. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan solusi yang tepat bagi masyarakat dalam upaya pengendalian pencemaran limbah minyak jelantah. Minyak tersebut akan dikembangkan menjadi lilin aromaterapi, yang mana selain mampu mengendalikan pencemaran juga dapat dijadikan sebagai produk yang bernilai guna untuk menambah penghasilan rumah tangga. Target luaran yang dihasilkan yaitu produk lilin aromaterapi dan jurnal pengabdian Bina Desa. Dalam mewujudkan target luaran tersebut, metode yang diterapkan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung untuk menambah kemampuan dan kreativitas peserta. Harapannya, setelah diadakan pelatihan ini, para peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan dalam pengolahan minyak goreng bekas sekaligus dapat menjadi ide usaha yang kreatif dan inovatif.

Abstract

Learning during the pandemic has an impact on student learning activities in learning Indonesian. This impact causes learning to be carried out online. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's strategy was to optimize Indonesian language learning in elementary schools during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is descriptive qualitative research that examines the strategies of elementary school teachers in optimizing online learning. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and questionnaires. The research was conducted at an elementary school in Madiun with 10 grade 4 teachers as the subject. The results of optimizing Indonesian language learning show that students learn Indonesian using thematic books with Whatsapp group application services, google meet, google classroom, Microsoft 365, google form, social media. The results of the assessment are carried out using quizzes or tests in the form of assignments.
