Abstract

Hazardous and toxic (B3) waste management is an important aspect in preserving the environment and public health in urban areas, as this waste includes a variety of materials that can cause serious damage if not managed properly. The research method used is mixed method, using data collection interviews, observation, documentation and questionnaire studies. Based on the research results obtained: (1) knowledge of hazardous waste in Makassar city motorcycle repair shops shows quite good results with an average value of 4.15 which falls into the "Good" category with a percentage of 24.66%; (2) Hazardous waste treatment is very important to reduce negative impacts on the environment and human health, including the process of identification, classification, collection, and treatment with appropriate methods, such as recycling and chemical neutralization; and (3) Utilization of hazardous waste, such as used oil, as a lubricant, coolant, and household stove fuel, provides economic benefits and supports more environmentally friendly and sustainable workshop operations.

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Biogas Skala Rumah Tangga di Kabupaten Bone pada masyarakat dan Kelompok Ternak bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pengolahan limbah kotoran ternak untuk mencengah pencemaran lingkungan yang akan terjadi akibat penumpukan kotoran ternak yang berlebih. Reaktor biogas adalah salah satu teknologi pengolahan limbah yang dapat digunakan untuk megolah kotoran ternak menjadi bioagas, dimana nantinya biogas yang dihasilkab dapat membantu masyarakat dalam segi bahan bakar rumah tangga dimana, biogas yang dihasilkan dapat dipergunakan untuk memasak, hal ini dapat mengurangi penggunaan gas LPG, rancangan reaktor biogas yang dibut dapat dengan mudah dipindahkan dan disimpan sesuai dengan posisi yang diingikan dan rancangan ini juga dapat digunnakan walaupun masyarakat yang ingin menggunakan reaktor biogas ini tidak memiliki ternak.Hasil program kemitraan masyarakat (PKM) Pelatihan Pembuatan Biogas Skala Rumah Tangga (mitra) yakni: (1) Mitra memperoleh pengetahuan terkait teknologi pengolahan limbah kotoran ternak menjadi biogas, (2) Mitra mampu merakit sendiri komponen-komponen biogas skala rumah tangga, (3 Mitra dapat memanfaatkan biogas sebagai bahan bakar alternatif pengganti Gas LPG, dan (4) Reaktor biogas sakala rumah tangga.

Abstract

Presentasi yang menarik dapat merangsang siswa untuk lebih menikmati materi yang dibawakan oleh guru, namun kurangnya informasi tentang berbagai aplikasi presentasi membuat guru di SMK Luyo, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar, terpaku pada PowerPoint. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu berinovasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi seperti Prezi yang dapat memberikan pengalaman baru dan lebih menarik bagi siswa. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode hybrid dilakukan langsung di lokasi dan melalui zoom pada kegiatan evaluasi. Hasi pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat adalah sebuah karya inovatif. Melalui pelatihan dan praktik langsung, para guru mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang cara membuat presentasi yang lebih menarik dan interaktif dengan Prezi. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa dalam belajar, yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar mereka.

Abstract

This study is an Ex Post Facto study because the independent variables are not manipulated or subjected to specific treatments; instead, they are analyzed based on symptoms that appeared in respondents before the study's initiation. Adopting a cause-and-effect approach of "if x then y," this study does not involve direct control over the independent variables. Three variables are examined: two independent variables, Multimedia and Critical Thinking, and one dependent variable, the Effectiveness of the e-module. The relationship between the variables is analyzed using the correlation method, while the module's effectiveness is assessed through a quasi-experiment involving four control classes and four experimental classes. The study's results indicate that: (1) Multimedia and Critical Thinking collectively influence the Effectiveness of the E-learning Module, (2) Multimedia has a significant individual effect, whereas Critical Thinking has only a minimal impact, and (3) the Paired Samples t-test reveals an increase in learning outcomes, with an average difference of -13.92 between the Pre-Test and Post-Test. The regression analysis yielded a value of 71.314, categorizing it as effective. This e-learning module has demonstrated considerable effectiveness in enhancing understanding related to Multimedia.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is a curriculum that emphasizes the development of holistic competencies, creativity, and entrepreneurship of students to face the challenges of complex times more effectively. In secondary education, the application of the independent curriculum is able to have a significant impact on learning objectives, including the craft subject on the topic of processing. The research method used is qualitative by applying interview data collection, observation and field documentation studies. The results of the study found that the implementation of the independent curriculum at Nurul Huda Porong Sidoarjo Junior High School was carried out in stages from grade 7, with teachers who had received training to develop their own learning tools. The learning process for food processing crafts is interactive and fun, despite the lack of equipment and practice rooms. The integration of Independent curriculum in food processing craft in junior high schools produces students who are competent and knowledgeable in the culinary world.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (Tefa) represents a transformative paradigm in vocational education, designed to immerse students in real-world industry settings within the school premises. By integrating practical training directly into the curriculum, Tefa ensures that students gain hands-on experience alongside theoretical knowledge, fostering a comprehensive skill set. This innovative approach not only enhances students' employability but also cultivates a deeper understanding of industry practices, ultimately equipping them with the competencies needed to thrive in their chosen fields. This research reviews the evaluation of the implementation of Tefa learning at leading vocational schools in the Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness Study Program. The research method used was evaluation, using interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaire studies. Based on the results of evaluation research on the implementation of the teaching factory learning model in the food crop and horticulture agribusiness skills program at SMKN A and B, the following can be drawn: Evaluation of the context, input, process, and product components shows promising results with percentages of 85.4%, 83.7%, 86.3%, and 83.4%, respectively. The data showed the effectiveness of practical learning in achieving vocational education goals.

Abstract

Denah ruang menjadi pondasi untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan nyaman. Pelatihan pembuatan denah ruang adalah kegiatan penting yang sering diadakan oleh berbagai jenis usaha, seperti bidang usaha. Pelatihan pembuatan denah ruang bertujuan untuk menanamkan konsep denah sebagai dasar bagi siswa SMK untuk modal dasar menjadi wirausahawan muda. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan di Gedung Universitas Negeri Makassar dan dilakukan dengan menggunakan demonstrasi, dan simulasi aplikasi kepada siswa SMKN 3 Pinrang kelas XI. Pelaksanaan pengabdian melibatkan observasi awal, identifikasi masalah, studi literatur pendahuluan, persiapan administrasi, persiapan perangkat pengabdian, pelaksanaan pengabdian, demonstrasi aplikasi, evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian, dan tindak lanjut pengabdian. Hasil pengabdian meliputi: (1) Persiapan pengabdian dimulai dengan pembuatan proposal dan penentuan sasaran; (2) Pelaksanaan diawali dengan presensi dan pengkondisian peserta, dilanjutkan pemaparan materi dan demonstrasi aplikasi; dan (3) Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengumpulan dan penilaian tugas siswa berfungsi sebagai acuan pemberian sertifikat dan umpan balik bagi siswa. 100% dari 23 peserta pelatihan berhasil membuat layout bengkel bidang usaha teknik mesin.

Abstract

Untuk mengembangkan kompetensi siswa tentang teknik pengelasan, seperti meningkatkan keterampilan mereka, khususnya keterampilan dalam hal pengelasan dengan SMAW atau las listrik, mendeskripsikan tentang cara penggunaan atau pengoprasian mesin las SMAW, menjelaskan berbagai jenis alat dan bahan yang digunakan, mendeskripsikan cara mengelas yang baik, spesifikasi dan kuantitas bahan atau elektroda yang digunakan, menganalisis kesalahan atau kerusakan yang terjadi pada hasil pengelasan, menginterpretasi gambar kerja.  Dengan adanya keterampilan yang dikuasai oleh siswa di SMK Negeri 5 Bulukumba tersebut, maka diharapkan dapat menjadi penopang kompetensi pengelasan di SMK Negeri 5 Bulukumba dalam hal memahami dan melakukan pengelasan berbasis kewirausahaan dengan menggunakan mesin las SMAW. Adapun solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh siswa di SMK Negeri 5 Bulukumba (1) Memberikan pelatihan kepada siswa tentang pengoperasian Las busur manual (2) Memberikan pelatihan kelengkapan alat pelindung diri saat proses pengelasan (3) Memberikan pelatihan untuk menentukan jenis bahan yang digunakan dalam pengelasan sesuai jobsheet berbasis kewirausahaan.(4) Memberikan pelatihan untuk melakukan pengukuran dan pemotongan bahan las. (5) Memberikan pelatihan untuk untuk mengetahui kesalahan dan kerusakan hasil pengelasan. peserta pelatihan dalam kegiatan ini sebanyak 20 orang peserta dari siswa kelas 2 konsentrasi Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Setelah penjelasan umum dilanjutkan dengan pemberian materi berupa teori praktis tentang pengelasan berupa teknik-teknik pengelasan, sehingga peserta pelatihan dapat melakukan pengelasan yang baik. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 20 orang siswa  antusias dan temotivasi sehingga mampu melakukan pengelasan shielded metal ARC welding berbasis kewirausahaan.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution has had an impact on the world of vocational education. Practical learning is the main characteristic in answering the challenges of the industrial world. Equipment used in the practicum must have excellent perfomace to be operated. One of the strategies in maintaining equipment in prime condition is the application of the Report Analysis Preventive Maintenance (RAOPM) application. This study aims to monitor the activities of the use of equipment in the laboratory, in order to determine the downtime of the machine. This research uses development research. The results showed that RAOPM in the Makassar State University laboratory has had a tremendous impact on the operational aspects of the laboratory. The implementation of RAOPM from the usage rate indicator, has an average value of 4.21 in the “Very Good” category with a percentage of 52.2%. In terms of maintenance efficiency, it also has a positive impact on knowing machine downtime which can be monitored in real-time. Then the implementation of RAOPM in the laboratory provides various benefits, ranging from increased maintenance efficiency with a predictive approach to better resource management through structured scheduling. RAOPM transforms maintenance from reactive to proactive, lowering breakdown frequency, downtime, and operational costs. In addition, RAOPM improved staff competencies through technology and maintenance management training, fostered a sense of responsibility, and supported the university's sustainability goals by optimizing energy efficiency. Although challenges such as resource limitations and technology adaptation remain, the benefits of RAOPM in improving the university's performance, academic quality, reputation are significant.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TEFA) is a program that provides a real learning experience for students. Students are taught simulation of job sheet practice, management, marketing, and entrepreneurship. This research examines the feasibility of teaching factories regarding context, input, process, and product. This research uses mixed methods, namely qualitative research supported by descriptive quantitative data. The research was conducted in vocational high schools in East Java Province, Indonesia. The population of this research used a sample size based on the empirical formula from Isaac and Michael. The results showed that: (1) Based on the context, the teaching factory follows the vision and mission of the school and the demand from the community, business, and industry. Production planning achieved a score of 2.825 with a good category, based on the learning questionnaire; (2) Teaching factory learning in VHSs is appropriate in terms of the readiness of buildings and teachers by VHSs, the completeness of facilities, and the readiness of students in attitudes and competencies to get a score of 2.855 with a good category; (3) Based on the process, the learning is appropriate in terms of workshop layout, student activities, product quality control, and practical activities getting a score of 2.825 with a good category; and (4) The evaluation results, concluded that the learning is appropriate in terms of workshop layout, student activities, product quality control, and practical activities getting a score of 2.855 with a good category. The results of this evaluation study can be used to contribute to developing and improving existing programs to make them better.
