Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the objectives and benefits of studying a systems approach in educational management. A systems approach helps understand the interrelationships between various elements in the education system, such as students, teachers, curriculum, and facilities, as well as the mutual impacts between them. This approach primarily aims to improve the effectiveness of educational management through in-depth analysis to create more appropriate policies and sustainable solutions. Some of the benefits are improving the quality of management, optimizing resources, making more precise decisions, and handling complex educational challenges more systematically. This research method is a literature review, where the researcher identifies, collects, and examines relevant scientific works to gain an in-depth understanding of the topic without directly collecting primary data.

Abstract

According to BPS data, the poor population in Siak district in 2022 will be 25.71 thousand people or 5.07%. An important factor that can influence the level of poverty is income. A solution from an Islamic perspective to the problem of poverty is optimizing zakat. According to Law Number 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat, it is stated that zakat is to realize community welfare and overcome poverty. One of the institutions formed by the government to manage and distribute zakat, infaq and alms is the National Zakat Amil Agency (BAZNAS). The benchmark for the success of alleviating poverty through optimizing zakat is the performance of BAZNAS. This research analyzes the performance of the Siak Regency National Zakat Amil Agency in its efforts to eradicate poverty. This research has two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative or mixed method. Data sources used in this research include primary data, secondary data, documents and archives and literature studies. Using interview, observation and questionnaire methods, the performance of BAZNAS Siak Regency can be known through the National Zakat Index 2.0 approach. The components of this index are macro dimensions and micro dimensions. The macro dimension reflects the role of the government and society in contributing to building zakat institutions and the micro dimension describes institutional governance and the impact of zakat. The research results show that BAZNAS Siak Regency in two macro dimensions and micro dimensions obtained good performance scores. The good performance of zakat institutions will influence the results of zakat collection, distribution and utilization programs. The influence of good performance will have a direct impact on mustahik in efforts to improve their welfare which will ultimately help the government in alleviating poverty. In this research, it was found that the impact of good BAZNAS performance for mustahik was materially an increase in income and asset ownership, spiritually in the form of increased worship and awareness of zakat.

Abstract

Peningkatan keberlanjutan sistem energi merupakan tantangan utama dalam era modern ini. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi sistem energi hybrid yang mengintegrasikan sumber daya surya dan hidro melalui implementasi monitoring dan perawatan preventif. Fokus utama adalah pada tahap 1 dari studi kasus ini yang mencakup desain, implementasi, dan evaluasi sistem yang terintegrasi. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan analisis data real-time dari panel surya dan sistem hidro, serta penerapan teknik perawatan preventif yang tepat waktu. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam efisiensi energi melalui pengoptimalan operasional sistem, pemantauan kinerja, dan deteksi dini masalah potensial. Temuan ini memberikan landasan yang kuat bagi pengembangan tahap berikutnya dalam upaya meningkatkan ketersediaan dan efisiensi energi sistem hybrid untuk masa depan yang berkelanjutan. Keberhasilan pendekatan ini menegaskan pentingnya perawatan preventif dan monitoring yang terus-menerus dalam meningkatkan kinerja sistem energi terbarukan.

Abstract

This study explores the philosophical values contained in the noble stories of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a foundation for moral character development among Muslims. Using a qualitative literature review approach, the study examines the moral and spiritual meanings found in both classical and modern sources. The findings indicate that the Prophet’s stories possess educational strength capable of fostering virtues such as honesty, compassion, patience, and responsibility. These values serve as the basis for moral internalization within Islamic education, addressing the ethical challenges of the modern era. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating the Prophet’s exemplary stories into educational curricula as an effective strategy for shaping the character of the younger generation. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat internalisasi nilai budaya organisasi pada santri Pesantren Al Ihsan Baron Bogor melalui pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Program dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan, pelatihan, diskusi interaktif, serta simulasi pembiasaan positif yang memanfaatkan potensi dan aset internal pesantren sebagai modal utama pembinaan karakter. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi pra-perencanaan, perencanaan kolaboratif, pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pemahaman santri terhadap nilai kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, kerja keras, keikhlasan, dan komitmen, dengan rata-rata peningkatan skor sebesar 1,24. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan ABCD efektif dalam mendorong santri terlibat aktif, menghubungkan nilai-nilai budaya dengan praktik keseharian, serta membentuk perilaku positif yang selaras dengan visi pendidikan karakter pesantren. Temuan ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menegaskan bahwa pembiasaan nilai secara terstruktur dapat meningkatkan motivasi, tanggung jawab, dan perilaku disiplin pada peserta didik.

Abstract

The authority in managing SMK / SMA which was originally in the district/city government has now transferred to the provincial government, including SMKN 2 Sumbawa Besar. Although a representative office of the provincial government lies in Sumbawa Regency, in this case, the Education Branch Office (KCD), but all of the administrative matters are complicated. This research used a qualitative method. Interviews, observation, and documentation techniques conducted in collecting the data. Data analysis applied the interactive analysis method of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the implementation of the management authority transfer of SMK Negeri 2 Sumbawa Besar through several steps that have been taken such as coordination, socialization, and synergy carried out together with other related parties, the inventory stage, the implementation stage of the handover starts from personal handover, submitting infrastructure or assets, submission of budgets and documents. However, after all of the process, several problems emerged include the convoluted procedures and processes in administrative management, the out of sync data and several other findings.

Abstract

Teacher professional competency improvement programs have a significant impact on the development of students as individuals, especially during critical developmental stages. Thus, instruction to improve teachers' professional competency in character development for students at the Darussalam Kasomalang Islamic Boarding School in Subang. Focusing on teachers' skills in recognizing and selecting effective tactics, particularly in character development in the classroom, this training combined theoretical and practical approaches. Following the workshop, participants and presenters engaged in a discussion and question-and-answer session. Based on the positive and satisfying responses from teachers during the training and the question-and-answer session, the results showed significant improvement. According to the program review, this improvement was largely driven by the performance of the facilitators and the materials they used. Future iterations of the course could benefit from the recommendations made for facilitator training, training evaluation, and the creation of additional materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara konseptual fungsi jiwa perasaan (emosi) dalam penguatan fungsi belajar peserta didik dalam perspektif Psikologi Pendidikan Islam. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan digunakan untuk menelaah literatur terkait konsep perasaan dan emosi, proses belajar, serta prinsip-prinsip psikologi Islam yang relevan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa emosi memiliki peran fundamental dalam memengaruhi motivasi, perhatian, interaksi sosial, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Dalam perspektif Islam, pengelolaan emosi berkaitan erat dengan tazkiyatun nafs, penguatan akhlak, dan pembentukan karakter melalui nilai-nilai seperti ṣabr, tawakkul, syukur, dan muraqabah. Integrasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Islam dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang positif, kondusif, dan bermakna sehingga mendorong keterlibatan kognitif dan spiritual peserta didik. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa fungsi jiwa perasaan yang dikelola secara islami berperan strategis dalam penguatan fungsi belajar, serta mengusulkan perlunya desain pembelajaran yang secara sadar mengembangkan regulasi emosi berbasis nilai-nilai Islam

Abstract

Rapid development of Islamic banks leads to the requirement to compete in order to show the best performance. Performance assessment can be seen from the profit information. Income smoothing through the use of Financing Loss Provision (FLP) is one method that can be applied in Islamic banking in an attempt to get income based on their goals. This research aims to investigate income smoothing practice by using FLP at both Indonesia and Malaysia’s Islamic banks by applying mixed-method approach. In this regard, quantitive method was used to measure panel regression by using Eviews in order to analyze income smoothing practice through FLP in both Indonesia and Malaysia than qualitative method was used through interviews with practitioners and sharia supervisors in Indonesia to get the data about the practice. The data in this research were taken from 11 Islamic banks in Indonesia and 19 Islamic banks in Malysia from 2011 to 2016. The results of the research reveal that Islamic banks in both Indonesia and Malaysia apply income smoothing by using FLP. The findings imply that Earning Before Taxes and Provision (EBTP) has significant positive effect on FLP. Moreover, the results of interviews indicate that Islamic banks in Indonesia do not apply income smoothing. However, there is an indication that they will lead to this condition. Therefore, it is suggested that the regulators will supervise the application of FLP by developing the investigation of this account in financial statement of the Islamic banks.
