Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of principals in enhancing school organizational behavior focused on student achievement at SMA N 1 Belik. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that principals play a key role in fostering a supportive organizational culture for student success. By implementing effective leadership—strategic vision, motivational skills, and transformational approaches—the principal mobilizes school elements to achieve shared goals. Positive organizational behavior, such as teamwork, discipline, and focus on student potential development, significantly impacts academic and non-academic success. Strengthening communication between junior and senior teachers, promoting interactive learning methods, encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities, and providing training programs for self-development are among the suggested strategies to enhance school organizational behavior.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were (1) To determine the relationship between attitude and job satisfaction in schools; (2) To determine what factors influence attitude and job satisfaction in schools; (3) To understand the relationship between work stress levels and teacher absenteeism; (4) To determine the effect of work attitudes on teacher productivity in schools. The object of the study was educators at SD Negeri 1 Mrisi, Tanggungharjo District, Grobogan Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 8 people. The results of the study showed that in teacher satisfaction and work attitudes based on the satisfaction survey instrument from 8 teachers, 3 with very good answers, 1 good answer and 2 sufficient answers. While with the recapitulation instrument, the interview results showed an agreement with 75% strongly agreeing, 20% agreeing and 5% disagreeing.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of motivation provided by the principal in improving teacher performance and student learning achievement at SD Negeri 01 Dororejo. The principal plays a crucial role as a leader in creating a conducive school environment for the teaching and learning process. Through an effective motivational approach, the principal can influence the quality of teacher performance, which ultimately has a positive impact on students academic achievements. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation at the specific school. The findings indicate that effective motivation from the principal, whether through rewards, good interpersonal communication, or professional support, significantly enhances teacher performance. This improvement contributes significantly to the increase in students learning achievement. The conclusion of this study underscores that the motivation provided by the principal is a key factor in fostering a successful, progressive, and results-oriented educational ecosystem.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze the principal’s managerial role in developing organizational culture at SD Negeri 01 Mulyoharjo. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research indicate that the principle’s managerial role is very important in developing organizational culture at SD Negeri 01 Mulyoharjo. While the indicators of the principal’s managerial role include: developing school organizations based on its needs, creating a conducive school culture for students, managing school facilities and infrastructure, and utilizing advances in information technology as an improvement in learning. The research concludes that the principal's managerial role has an important role in the success of developing organizational culture at SD Negeri 01 Mulyoharjo. This can be seen in the aspect of developing school organizations based on its needs, including the culture of reading short letters of the Qur'an and Asmaul Husna before learning and the culture of Friday Market, Friday Healthy, Friday Blessed, and also Friday Cheerful. In the aspect of creating a conducive school culture for students, it is implemented by getting used to smiling and greeting, respecting each other, and appreciating each other among school residents. In the aspect of managing school facilities and infrastructure, it is implemented by facilitating student habituation activities. Then, in the aspect of utilizing advances in information technology as an improvement in learning, it is implemented by utilizing technology in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of school principals' power and politics in educational management at SMP Negeri 7 Pemalang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore in depth the dynamics of power and politics that exist in school principal policies which influence the learning process, relationships between employees, and decision making in schools. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation involving school principals, teachers, administrative staff and other related parties. The research results show that school principals have a strong influence in determining policies, both in academic and non-academic aspects. However, the power they have often interacts with internal politics involving various groups in schools, which affects the effectiveness of implementing these policies. Internal conflicts that arise are often related to personal and group interests, which sometimes affect the quality of work and professional relationships at school. These findings provide an important picture of how politics and power within schools can influence educational performance and development at the junior high school level, as well as the importance of wise leadership strategies in facing these challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) The effect of work motivation on teacher performance, (2) The effect of professional competence on teacher performance, (3) The joint influence between work motivation and professional competence on performance.This research was conducted in public elementary schools in Kec.Tanggungharjo Kab.Grobogan. This research is a sample study, with the sampling technique used is simple random sampling with the intention that each subject has the same opportunity to be sampled. The population of this study were all teachers in public elementary schools in Kec.Tanggungharjo Kab.Grobogan. The subjects analyzed in this study were 52 teachers who were calculated based on the 50% sampling technique. Data collection techniques are using questionnaires, observation and documentation. The data validity test used is validity test and reliability test. Prerequisite test analysis includes normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test. Hypothesis testing uses simple regression test, which is analyzed by comparing the value of t table with t count and multiple regression test, which is analyzed by comparing F count with F table. The results of this study show: (1) There is a positive and significant effect of work motivation on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Tanggungharjo District as evidenced by the correlation coefficient rcount < rtable (0.533 < 0.279) with a coefficient of determination of 0.284 which means that 28.4% of this variable affects teacher performance and 71.6% is influenced by other variables. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of professional competence on the performance of public elementary school teachers in Tanggungharjo District as evidenced by the correlation coefficient rcount < rtable (0.638 < 0.279) with a coefficient of determination of 0.407 which means that 40.7% of this variable affects teacher performance and 59.3% is influenced by other variables. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between work motivation and professional competence together on teacher performance as evidenced by the correlation coefficient rcount < rtable (0.686 < 0.279) with an effective contribution of 47% which means 53% of teacher performance is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1). Menganalisis peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SDN Penggaron Kidul dalam memotivasi guru untuk meningkatkan kinerja mereka, (2). Mengidentifikasi perilaku organisasi pendidikan di SDN Penggaron Kidul yang berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja guru, (3). Menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat motivasi kerja guru di SDN Penggaron Kidul, dan (4). Mengkaji hubungan antara kepemimpinan, perilaku organisasi, dan motivasi kerja guru dalam mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di SDN Penggaron Kidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SDN Penggaron Kidul memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru, meskipun masih menghadapi tantangan berupa inkonsistensi dalam pemberian penghargaan dan arahan. Kondisi ini menghambat potensi penciptaan komitmen organisasi yang optimal. Budaya kolaborasi antar-guru sebagai bagian dari perilaku organisasi sudah cukup baik, tetapi dukungan terhadap pengembangan profesional dan inovasi pembelajaran masih minim. Selain itu, keterbatasan fasilitas dan kurangnya pelatihan profesional menjadi hambatan utama yang memengaruhi implementasi metode pembelajaran inovatif. Hubungan antara kepemimpinan, perilaku organisasi, dan motivasi kerja terbukti berkontribusi langsung terhadap kualitas pembelajaran, seperti terlihat pada perbedaan signifikan tingkat partisipasi siswa antara kelas dengan metode inovatif dan konvensional.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies employed by school principals in managing teachers' work-related stress within the school environment. Work stress experienced by teachers can impact their performance and the quality of learning, thus requiring special attention from principals as educational leaders. This research aims to identify the strategies implemented by principals to help teachers cope with work stress through managerial approaches, communication, and professional development. The study employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that principals adopt various strategies, such as creating a conducive work environment, providing emotional support, organizing training and professional development programs, and fostering open communication. Additionally, principals facilitate recreational activities and promote collaboration among teachers to strengthen team cohesion. The results emphasize that proactive and responsive leadership by principals plays a crucial role in managing teachers' work stress, thereby enhancing their well-being and work effectiveness.

Abstract

The principal's leadership plays a strategic role in determining the success of schools as educational organizations. This article examines how principals shape an organizational climate and culture conducive to achieving educational goals. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method in several schools known for their exemplary organizational culture. The findings reveal that effective principals can create a positive organizational climate through open communication, participatory decision-making, and recognition of achievements. Additionally, visionary and value-based leadership fosters a strong organizational culture characterized by collaboration, integrity, and innovation. Thus, the principal's role extends beyond that of an administrator to that of a change agent shaping the organization's character. These findings provide valuable insights for education practitioners in efforts to enhance school quality by strengthening organizational climate and culture.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze the principal’s role in increasing teacher’s motivasion and job satisfaction at Pagumenganmas State Elementary School. The background this research is low job satisfaction which is characterized by a lack of appreciation for teachers, low teacher achievement motivation and a lack of communication between principal and teacher which often causes misunderstandings in interpreting task orders. This indication reflects the teacher's lack of concern for what is mentioned, often complaining and always considering every job given to be complicated, no desire to be motivated and achieve, lack of responsibility, lack of work enthusiasm and motivation. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, involving interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research results show that the principal acts as an effective leader in creating a conducive learning environment, managing administration, and building good relationships with teachers. Principals who can carry out their functions as educators, managers, administrators, supervisors and motivators can significantly increase teacher job satisfaction. In addition, the principal's support in rewards and professional development contributes to increased teacher motivation and performance. This research confirms that good principal leadership is very important in building a productive and harmonious school climate, which in turn has a positive impact on the quality of education at Pagumenganmas State Elementary School.
