Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia's development, as an archipelagic country, has important seaport centers that theoretically should drive regional economic growth. The study aims to analyze the influence of the volume of goods flow (X1) and the number of passengers (X2) on the Gross Regional Product (GDP) of the transportation and warehousing sector (Y) in Wakatobi Regency (in the period 2020–2024) and simultaneously test the hypothesis of the leakage phenomenon. The method used is a quantitative method with multiple linear regression (OLS) analysis on monthly time series data. The results of the F test show that X1 and X2 simultaneously have a significant influence on Y, with an explanatory power of 75.1% (Adj. R² = 0.751). However, the results of the partial t test reveal important contradictory findings: The Volume of Goods Flow (X1) has a positive and significant influence on Y (coefficient +0.981), confirming that logistics activities are successful in generating local added value. Passenger Volume (X2) has a negative and significant influence on Y (coefficient -0.255). These findings confirm the existence of Economic Leakage. Despite very high passenger volumes (reaching 165,628 people in 2024), Wakatobi's transportation sector GDP actually experienced negative growth (-3.69% in 2024), as most of the added value from passenger transportation services was recorded outside Wakatobi by non-local operators.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically analyze the impact of the growth of the tourism sector (represented by the Accommodation and Food and Beverage subsector) and the fisheries sector on the Total Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) Growth in Wakatobi Regency, Indonesia, during the 2015–2019 period. As an archipelagic region that relies on these two sea-based sectors, identifying their contributions and interactions is crucial for sustainable economic development. Using a time series approach with Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, secondary data of GRDP at Constant Prices (ADHK) 2010 from BPS Wakatobi Regency was processed. The estimation results show that the model has very high explanatory power (R^2 = 0.883), which indicates that 88.3% of the variation in Total GRDP is influenced by both variables. However, the results of the Simultaneous Significance Test (F Test) (Prob. 0.116) and Partial Test (t Test) found that neither Tourism nor Fisheries Sector Growth statistically had a significant effect on Total GRDP Growth. Synergy analysis through the interaction model also did not prove significant. These findings indicate that Wakatobi Regency's total GRDP growth is currently dominated by non-basic factors, represented by model constants (such as government spending and household consumption), while leakage and weak inter-sectoral linkages prevent the significant impact of basic sectors from being internalized into aggregate GRDP. This study recommends the need for policies to strengthen backward linkages between the tourism sector and local products and further analysis of disaggregated GRDP by industry to identify true spillover effects.

Abstract

This research examines the foundations and principles of curriculum development within the education system. This research employed a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The study found that the evolution of the curriculum in Indonesia, from a more adaptive and student-focused approach, such as the Independent Curriculum, demonstrates a continuous effort to improve the quality of education to better meet global challenges. Therefore, the success of curriculum development depends heavily on the alignment between the foundations and principles applied, as well as the ability to implement them contextually in the field. A well-designed and systematic curriculum will produce students who are competent, have character, and are ready to face dynamic changes in the future.

Abstract

This study analyzes the transformation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education Curriculum in the Society 5.0 Era. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method as the primary approach to examine the development, patterns, and direction of the transformation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) education curriculum in the Society 5.0 era. Based on the results of the literature review on the transformation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based curriculum in the Society 5.0 era, it shows that the current curriculum development demands the integration of technology, 21st-century skills, and character values. The curriculum no longer focuses on knowledge transfer but also on developing critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy skills in students. The implementation of the Independent Curriculum is a relevant form of adaptation in addressing these challenges, as it provides a student-centered learning platform and encourages the use of technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of economic literacy on financial management behavior among students of the Economics Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Halu Oleo University (UHO). This quantitative research employed a simple linear regression design with a proportional stratified random sampling technique involving 80 students as the research sample from a population of 111 students. Data were collected using the Economic Literacy Scale based on Sina (2012) and the Financial Management Behavior Scale adapted from Dew and Xiao (2011). Prerequisite assumption tests confirmed that data were normally distributed (Asymp. Sig. = 0.147 > 0.05), had a significant linear relationship (Sig. Linearity = 0.000 < 0.05), and were free from heteroscedasticity (Sig. Glejser = 0.228 > 0.05). The results of simple linear regression showed that economic literacy had a positive and significant effect on financial management behavior (B = 0.601, β = 0.632, t = 7.215, p = 0.000), indicating that higher students' economic literacy was associated with better financial management behavior.

Abstract

Academic integrity and learning motivation are two closely related psychological factors that shape how university students engage with their academic responsibilities. Despite growing awareness of their theoretical connection, empirical research directly examining this relationship among first-year Indonesian university students remains limited. This study investigated the relationship between academic integrity and learning motivation among new students (n = 80) of the Economics Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Halu Oleo University (UHO), using a quantitative correlational design with proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the Academic Integrity Scale (α = 0.879; 30 items), based on McCabe et al. (2012), and the Learning Motivation Scale (α = 0.903; 27 items), adapted from Ilham et al. (2022). Prerequisite assumption tests confirmed normality (Asymp. Sig. = 0,163), linearity (Sig. Linearity = 0.000), and homoscedasticity (Glejser Sig. = 0.241). Pearson correlation analysis revealed a strong positive relationship (r = 0.654, p < 0.001). Simple linear regression confirmed that academic integrity significantly predicted learning motivation (B = 0.632, β = 0,654, t = 7.635, p < 0.001), accounting for 42.8% of its variance (R² = 0.428, F = 58.296, p < 0.001). These findings demonstrate that building academic integrity from the very start of undergraduate study is a strategically important step in fostering strong, sustained motivation to learn among new students.

Abstract

Student creativity is one of the essential competencies that must be developed in 21st-century learning to foster learners who are innovative, adaptive, and capable of solving problems contextually. However, various studies indicate that learning processes in schools remain predominantly teacher-centered and provide limited opportunities for students to optimally develop creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze effective learning strategies for enhancing student creativity across different educational levels through a library research approach. The review was conducted through stages of planning, data collection, and analysis by examining 20 scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025 and obtained from academic databases such as Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA-indexed journals. The findings reveal that innovative learning strategies, particularly Project Based Learning (PjBL), consistently improve student creativity, as reflected in increased ability to generate diverse ideas, think flexibly, and produce original and meaningful work. In addition to PjBL, STEM/STEAM approaches, technology-based learning, differentiated instruction, and the integration of local wisdom have also been shown to contribute positively to the development of student creativity. Nevertheless, the implementation of these strategies faces challenges, including limited time, inadequate facilities, teacher readiness, and varying levels of student participation. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening teacher competencies through continuous professional development, integrating educational technology, and developing evaluation systems that emphasize creative thinking processes. The results of this review are expected to serve as a reference for educators in designing innovative learning practices that are responsive to the demands of 21st-century education.
