Abstract

This study examines the application of conventional marketing and the challenges of digitalization faced by micro-scale somay (steamed fish cake) sellers in the area of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Halu Oleo University. The aim of the study is to identify marketing patterns, barriers to digital adoption, and to provide simple yet applicable solutions to improve market reach and digital payment usage. The study used a qualitative approach through direct observation and in-depth interviews with two micro-entrepreneurs: Bapak Husein, who operates from a fixed location near KOPMA, and Bapak Andi, who sells by roaming around the Masjid Muallim area. Both informants have been running their businesses for 10 and 15 years, respectively. Findings reveal that both sellers still rely predominantly on conventional marketing methods such as word-of-mouth and physical presence, while facing challenges including unstable daily income, limited promotional reach, and low digital literacy. Although both have adopted QRIS as a digital payment option, its usage remains suboptimal due to customer habits favoring cash transactions. As practical interventions, the team assisted in creating a WhatsApp customer group and designing a promotional banner (baliho) incorporating QRIS information. These low-cost digital solutions are expected to enhance business visibility, strengthen customer communication, and gradually increase digital transaction rates among micro-entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an in-depth understanding of the description of spiritual intelligence among students at madrasah tsanawiyah negeri 2 buton.a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was employed,enabling the exploration of students' experiences,perceptions,and the meanings of spiritual intelligence from the subjects' own perspectives.data were collected through in-depth interviews,participatory observation,and documentation studies.informants were purposively selected,comprising students from grades vii,viii,and ix,as well as teachers and educational staff.data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques through stages of data reduction,data presentation,and conclusion drawing.the findings indicate that the spiritual intelligence of mtsn 2 buton students is generally at a sufficiently developed level,reflected in their ability to perceive the learning process as an act of worship,demonstrate self-awareness,exhibit flexibility in facing challenges,and maintain internalized moral values.however,individual variation was observed,influenced by family backgrounds,intensity of religious education,and social environment.these findings underscore the importance of holistic spiritual education in madrasah settings to optimally support students' character development.

Abstract

Photocopy and printing service businesses represent integral UMKM segment supporting academic activities of students in campus environment, yet face intensifying competition and shifting digital consumption landscape. This research analyzes feasibility of photocopy and printing businesses around Halu Oleo University through empirical approach integrating field observation, in-depth interviews, and structured questionnaires to consumers and business operators. Three photocopy businesses become investigation focus: Faris Jaya Foto Copy (revenue Rp20 million/month), FC Nusaibah Perdos UHO (unstable revenue), and Foto Copy Sarmin/Mangkerei (revenue Rp5-10 million/month), with fifteen consumer respondents. Mixed methods methodology combines operational observation, semi-structured interviews with owners for strategic exploration and challenges identification, and questionnaires with categorical rating scales to measure consumer satisfaction. Results demonstrate that photocopy businesses possess substantial feasibility with stable consumer demand (2-3 times/week), affordable expenditure (Rp5,000-Rp15,000/visit), and high satisfaction levels. Faris Jaya Foto Copy shows established position with stable revenue Rp20 million/month through competitive pricing and service consistency. FC Nusaibah Perdos UHO demonstrates aggressive market entry with diverse service offerings (photocopy, print, binding, laminating), despite experiencing revenue volatility. Foto Copy Sarmin/Mangkerei maintains viable operations with price-sensitive positioning. Dominant purchase decision factors include strategic location, service speed, print quality, and environmental cleanliness. Challenges include intense competition, equipment malfunction, raw material limitations, and infrastructure disruptions. Comprehensive recommendations include: robust infrastructure maintenance system implementation, systematic quality control adoption, digital marketing implementation for market reach expansion, and continuous service innovation for long-term sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study analyzes the role of economic education in shaping a sustainability-oriented generation and formulates strategies for its strengthening in the modern era. The study is motivated by increasing economic inequality, environmental degradation, and the low level of economic and financial literacy among young generations. This research employed a literature review method examining 22 relevant sources published between 2021 and 2026, including indexed journal articles and academic books related to economic education, financial literacy, business ethics, and sustainable development. The analysis was conducted using a thematic synthesis approach through stages of identification, categorization, critical evaluation, and conceptual pattern development. The findings reveal three main patterns. First, the integration of financial literacy and sustainability values into the curriculum significantly contributes to improving responsible economic decision-making skills. Second, contextual and problem-based learning approaches are more effective in fostering awareness of social and environmental impacts than purely theoretical instruction. Third, strengthening business ethics at the secondary education level serves as a key factor in developing long-term sustainable economic orientation. These findings emphasize that adaptive, integrative, and value-oriented economic education should be prioritized within the curriculum as a foundation for sustainable development. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menganalisis peran pendidikan ekonomi dalam membentuk generasi berorientasi keberlanjutan serta merumuskan strategi penguatannya di era modern. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya ketimpangan ekonomi, degradasi lingkungan, serta rendahnya literasi ekonomi dan keuangan generasi muda. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi literatur terhadap 22 sumber relevan yang terbit dalam rentang 2021–2026, meliputi artikel jurnal terindeks dan buku akademik terkait pendidikan ekonomi, literasi keuangan, etika bisnis, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Analisis dilakukan melalui pendekatan sintesis tematik dengan tahap identifikasi, kategorisasi, evaluasi kritis, dan penarikan pola konseptual. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tiga pola utama. Pertama, integrasi literasi keuangan dan nilai keberlanjutan dalam kurikulum berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan ekonomi yang bertanggung jawab. Kedua, pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual dan berbasis masalah lebih efektif dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dampak sosial dan lingkungan dibandingkan pendekatan teoritis semata. Ketiga, penguatan etika bisnis sejak jenjang pendidikan menengah menjadi faktor kunci dalam membangun orientasi ekonomi jangka panjang yang berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan ekonomi yang adaptif, integratif, dan berbasis nilai perlu diprioritaskan dalam kurikulum sebagai fondasi pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam penyusunan Rencana Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) bagi masyarakat tobimeita kecamatan Nambo. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pemberian materi, praktek secara langsung dan pendampingan. Pemberian materi dilakukan di rumah salah satu warga yang ada di kelurahan tobimeita, dengan materi tentang ekonomi kreatif serta pemberian pelatihan secara langsung untuk mengenalkan berbagai pilihan alternative untuk dapat berkreatifitas serta berwirausaha muda dengan bahan yang mudah ditemukan dilingkungan sekitar kepada masyarakat tobimeita kecamatan Nambo. Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of ChatGPT usage on critical thinking skills of Economics Education students at FKIP Halu Oleo University. Quantitative method with 180 students from semesters 3-7 selected by proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and critical thinking tests, analyzed using simple linear regression. Results showed ChatGPT usage had a significant negative effect on critical thinking skills (β=-0.994, p<0.001). The higher the intensity of ChatGPT usage, the lower students' critical thinking skills. Findings confirm cognitive offloading theory that AI dependence reduces analytical abilities. Structured usage guidelines and critical AI literacy are needed to prevent technology from hindering prospective economics teachers' critical thinking development.

Abstract

Academic anxiety is a serious psychological problem experienced by pre-service teachers that affects their academic abilities and readiness to become professional educators. This study aims to analyze the effect of procrastination on academic anxiety among students of the Economics Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The study employed a causal correlational quantitative approach involving 146 students in semesters 3 and 5, selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Research instruments consisted of a procrastination scale (31 valid items, α=0.911) and an academic anxiety scale (28 valid items, α=0.897). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. Results showed 46.6% of students had moderate procrastination levels, and 43.2% experienced moderate academic anxiety. Regression analysis confirmed procrastination has a positive and significant effect on academic anxiety (β=0.906, t=25.745, p<0.05) with a contribution of 90.6%. Higher student procrastination levels correspond to greater academic anxiety. This study emphasizes the importance of addressing procrastination as a primary strategy to reduce academic anxiety among pre-service teachers through systematic intervention programs such as group counseling and time management training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap penyesuaian akademik pada mahasiswa baru Jurusan Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain regresi linear sederhana menggunakan teknik total sampling yang melibatkan seluruh 111 mahasiswa Semester 2 Kelas B sebagai subjek. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Skala Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya yang diadaptasi dari Cutrona dan Russell (1987) dan Skala Penyesuaian Akademik berdasarkan Baker dan Siryk (1984). Uji prasyarat analisis membuktikan bahwa data berdistribusi normal (Asymp. Sig. = 0,127 > 0,05), memiliki hubungan yang linear (Sig. Linearitas = 0,000 < 0,05), dan bebas dari heteroskedastisitas (Sig. Glejser = 0,183 > 0,05). Hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial teman sebaya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyesuaian akademik (B = 0,614, β = 0,563, t = 10,772, p = 0,000), yang berarti semakin tinggi dukungan sosial teman sebaya yang diterima mahasiswa maka semakin baik penyesuaian akademiknya.

Abstract

This research aims to introduce the public to the uses of pearl beads, as well as utilizing pearl beads to make crafts. The problem focused on this research is how students and the community can take advantage of business opportunities, as well as how to provide students and the community with knowledge about business management, starting a business, and how to market products. The implementation method used in this training is the lecture and practice method. The result of the implementation of the activities that we carried out was a creative handicraft product in the form of a flower from pearl beads named PEARL FLOWER. This product is a creativity and expertise in making handicrafts such as flowers from pearl beads to produce unique and attractive works of art. Flowers from pearl beads are one form of handicraft that is popular and sought after by many people. This product adds a beautiful and elegant touch to home decor or special events. Making flowers from pearl beads involves selecting colors, arranging beads, and installation techniques, this requires good manual skills and precision. Handicrafts such as flowers from pearl beads can be a fun and satisfying hobby. The process of making them can provide artistic satisfaction and hone creative skills and can be a profitable business opportunity. Thus, creative handicrafts such as flowers made from pearl beads have high artistic value and business potential, in addition, they can provide pleasure and satisfaction to the maker and become an attractive decoration in various contexts.

Abstract

This research examines the foundations and principles of curriculum development within the education system. This research employed a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The study found that the evolution of the curriculum in Indonesia, from a more adaptive and student-focused approach, such as the Independent Curriculum, demonstrates a continuous effort to improve the quality of education to better meet global challenges. Therefore, the success of curriculum development depends heavily on the alignment between the foundations and principles applied, as well as the ability to implement them contextually in the field. A well-designed and systematic curriculum will produce students who are competent, have character, and are ready to face dynamic changes in the future.
