Abstract

Abstract

Background Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic, Gram-negative bacterium that can cause infections both acutely and chronically. Antibiotics are essential for treating acute bacterial infections. The use of probiotics is one effort to reduce the number of resistant antibiotics. One of the probiotics derived from microorganisms is Bifidobacterium longum. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Bifidobacterium longum on the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in mice (Mus musculus). Methods This study was conducted using the True Experimental Post-test method. The population used was 3- to 4-month-old mice, with a body weight of 20 to 40 grams, as determined by the Federer formula. The mice were fed standard food and given sterile distilled water. A total of 30 mice were tested and divided into five treatment groups. The test carried out is a test of the distribution of the number of colonies. Results Of the five groups studied, the administration of Bifidobacterium longum combined with the antibiotic ceftriaxone in the probiotic intervention group yielded an effective result (p < 0.05), as did the group that received only Bifidobacterium longum probiotics (p < 0.05). at the same time, the other group did not show an effective result (p >0.05). Conclusions Based on the study, it was explained that the administration of Bifidobacterium longum was effective as a supportive and curative group, but not as a preventive measure against the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in mice.

Abstract

Globalization and the development of information technology have changed the dynamics of marketing, requiring companies to continuously adapt and innovate. This study aims to analyze the influence of marketing strategy and word of mouth on purchase decisions at PT Inti Sanho Utama Teknologi, Medan. Using a quantitative approach, the study involved 34 respondents selected through purposive sampling, collecting primary data through an online questionnaire based on the Likert scale. Statistical analysis using multiple linear regression, normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests was performed with the help of SPSS software version 21.0. The results revealed that word of mouth had a significant influence on purchase decisions with a coefficient of 0.446 and a significance value of 0.028, while marketing strategy did not show a significant influence. The determination coefficient showed that marketing strategy and word of mouth were simultaneously able to explain 35% of the variation in purchasing decisions, with 65% influenced by factors outside the research model. These findings underscore the importance of personalized recommendations and consumer experiences in the context of technology distribution. The research contribution lies in the development of a more sophisticated conceptual framework for understanding the dynamics of purchasing decisions in the digital age, with practical implications for technology companies' marketing strategies. Research recommends focusing on building trust through word of mouth and authentic consumer experiences.

Abstract

Visual communication plays a vital role in advertising, particularly in delivering product messages in an engaging and effective manner. In this context, the director holds a crucial role in shaping the success of an advertisement through creative and strategic visual concepts. This paper discusses a commercial advertisement project for Ronas, a Korean skincare brand distributed by PT Revass Utama Medika. The author applied the 5C concept (camera angle, continuity, cutting, composition, and close-up) as a visual approach to enhance the quality and appeal of the product message. This project serves not only as an implementation of the knowledge gained during studies at the Digital Communication and Media Study Program, Vocational School of IPB University, but also as an exploration of creativity in directing visual-based advertisements. The results of this project demonstrate that the director’s creativity significantly contributes to building a product's image and influencing consumer decisions through informative, emotional, and persuasive visual storytelling.

Abstract

This study aims to delve deeper into the subject of samsarah in insurance marketing, with a specific focus on family takaful insurance companies. The research methodology involves conducting a literature review by collecting relevant materials and examining all sources pertaining to the laws of family takaful insurance. Subsequently, the collected data will be carefully analyzed to distinguish between information considered accurate and inaccurate. The findings of this study indicate that the system employed in family takaful is genuinely based on cooperation (tabarru). Family takaful insurance applies a risk-sharing principle that is materialized through the collection of tabarru funds, fostering solidarity, mutual protection, and strong bonds among participants. The role of a family takaful insurance agent extends beyond merely selling takaful products. They provide valuable assistance by sharing information with insurance participants. This may include organizing workshops that highlight the advantages and benefits of family takaful insurance. These workshops serve to enhance participants' understanding and confidence in the knowledge conveyed by sharia-compliant insurance agents, thereby increasing awareness of the significance of the benefits associated with family takaful insurance.
